Chapter Text
He slumped all the way back to the men’s quarters of Alfea, which was a long walk considering it was far away from the other students since it was actually a part of the teacher’s quarters considering there were so few male students. The view of the Tall windows and chandeliers lining the hallway barely gave any light, with the only source available being the bare light of the moon. If he were to concentrate on it for a second, he could try to make it a little brighter towards him but decided not to as he was too tired to bother. Empty footsteps clanked their way across the burgundy rug until he was able to see his room. He grabbed the handle and gently swung the door open to his roommate Erik sitting on the chaise reading.
“you’re late Chase, what kind of trouble did you get into this time?” he said without missing a beat, looking up at Said fairy’s face. “The good kind where you hang out with friends and get to know them better” Chase responded smiling. Erik chuckled at his forwardness and sighed “I better not hear about you doing anything crazy, I don’t want to be at the responding end when I hear about something happening with one of the girls at Alfea”.
Walking over to their bedroom door all Chase could say was “I promise that won’t be the case. She’s just a girl from my Winx class. We’re in a group project to learn how to use our powers with and against each other because of their similarities with mine being light and her being clouds. He rubbed his hand at the back of his neck. “It’s taking a while to figure out how to do that though considering we’re both really bad at controlling our powers. But it’s kind of nice to have someone who understands the struggle. Chase shrugged and went back to his room, but not before looking back at Erik “I think you’re overthinking it man, she’s cool. Come on don’t be weird about it. I have trouble with my powers too”
“And don’t I know it,” Erik said glaring at Chase. Chase furrowed his brows back at him and went back to their shared room. “It might be a good thing you can’t control yours either. Maybe it’ll help keep the eventual storm at bay” Erik yelled.
Chase slammed the door.

The city of Magix was always aglow. There were always cars whirring around the place flying to one place or another while the people below were always around and about eating out and trying on new clothes or going to the coolest new store in town or screening. And all Kylie could do was slouch around, meandering behind the energized people of Magicx. She missed Callisto. Of course, every student probably missed their home planet if they weren’t from Magicx, but it felt hard to find someone to talk about that with after her major blow-up during spells class. She was probably a laughing stock to her Alfea classmates now. She just left grade school and she was already a mess. So much for a new school and, a new outlook.
