Logan was so close to points in Brazil but it wasn't to be. He was more bothered about the fact that Alex had retired on the first lap. He felt disappointed for his teammate and boyfriend but as long as Alex was alright then Logan would be happy.
The young American reunited with Alex after he was finished in the media pen. Alex was waiting for him after he had finished with his media duties in the media pen. He was waiting outside the motorhome. Logan stopped and smiled sadly as he came to a halt in front of Alex. Logan's press officer disappeared into the motorhome.
Logan sighed.
“Hey.”
Alex smiled but it was a small smile.
“Hi.”
“I'm sorry about your race.”
Alex shrugged.
“It is what it is.”
“It's bad that it happened on the first lap though.”
“Yeah.”
“Are you okay?”
“I'm fine, I'm just annoyed.”
“I'm glad you're okay.”
“Me too.”
Logan didn't know what else to say but thankfully Alex knew what to say.
“You did a good job today, I saw you nearly got into the points.”
“Yeah, so close and yet so far.”
“Hey, you were brilliant out there.”
“Thank you.”
“Come here.”
Alex pulled Logan into his arms for a quick hug. He gently kissed Logan's temple whilst he was at it. They pulled apart and headed into the motorhome. Both of them were unaware that there had been a spectator to their hug.
Alex was packing up his things in his room before he was due to go into debrief. There was a knock on his door and he frowned.
“Come in.”
The door opened and George stepped into the room.
“Hey.”
The door closed behind him.
“Hey, what are you doing here?”
It wasn't the first time that George had stepped foot into the Williams motorhome since leaving but it wasn't as if he visited all the time.
“I came to ask you something.” Replied George.
“Go on.”
“Since when have you and Logan been dating?”
Alex blushed.
“How do you know?”
There was no point in denying it.
“I saw you hugging him earlier and you kissed his head.”
“Oh, I didn't realise that anyone had seen us.”
“I don't think anyone else was around if that helps.”
Alex sighed.
“We've been dating since Zandvoort.”
“Why didn't you tell me?” Asked George.
“We've not really told anyone, we wanted to keep it private incase the team found out.”
“Do you think they wouldn't react well?”
“I don't know how they would react.”
“I just thought you would've told me since we're friends.”
“I'm sorry, George, Oscar doesn't even know. We've not long told our parents, literally no one knows about us. Logan hasn't had many relationships so we're taking things slow.”
George nodded.
“Are you happy?”
Alex smiled.
“Yes.”
“That's all I need to hear but you better watch out because if you hurt him then there will be trouble.”
“Hey, why are you taking his side?”
George laughed.
“I was Logan's coach back in the day and we do have the same management team.”
“Fine, I'll let you off but I don't want to hurt him, George, that's the last thing I want to do.”
“I'm glad to hear it.”
“Right, I better go and tell him that someone knows our secret.”
“Good luck with that.”
Alex rolled his eyes. He left the room and sneaked into Logan's room. George left the room and the motorhome happy in the knowledge that Logan and Alex were happy. He couldn't wait to tease them about their relationship relentlessly.
