Adrien woke up flooded with excitement.
The snow flurried outside, and he instantly ran to the kitchen. He made hot cocoa and waved at Felix, who had been woken up by Adrien's very noisy and excited hot cocoa making.
He was the exact opposite of Adrien, his eyes tired and looking a lot like a ruffled cat.
Adrien smiled. "Morning!! It's christmas Eve!!"
Felix sighed and poured himself coffee. He could tell he'd need it. "Morning."
He sat down at the counter and watched Adrien flit around the room, checking that everything was set up perfectly.
Felix had no idea how he had so much energy already.
He took a long sip of his coffee, letting the warmth envelop him, hoping the caffeine would work fast.
Adrien grinned. "Oh! I have something for us!!"
Felix tilted his head slightly. "What is it?"
Adrien brightly ran to his room. "I'll show you!"
He came back a minute later and thrust a shopping bag into Felix's hands. Felix opened it to reveal a cream coloured set of pajamas, little pictures of mistletoe on it. He felt a slight flush at the memory and looked up at Adrien's smug smile.
"I got a pair too so we can match!!"
He looked so happy that Felix couldn't help but smile. ".. Thanks, Adrien."
Adrien hopped onto the counter, sitting on it and sipping his hot cocoa.
The two had a calm (mostly) day of finishing wrapping presents and watching christmas movies, and talking to Marinette and Kagami.
That evening, Felix got a text from Kagami, asking him to meet her in the school library. He looked at Adrien. "I'm just gonna go meet Kagami real quick, I'll be back soon."
Adrien nodded and waved happily.
Felix walked down the hallways, to the library.
It was warm in there, a fireplace flickering cozily in the corner. It was decorated for christmas. Kagami sat rigidly in a plush chair near the fireplace.
Felix couldn't help but notice how pretty she looked in her red sweater.
"Felix." Kagami said, looking intently at him.
Felix walked cautiously over to her. "Hi Kagami, why did you want to meet here?" He asked, a bit confused.
Kagami stared at him intensely, her eyes boring into his very soul. "Date me."
Felix's eyes widened, colour rushing to his face, and choked on air.
When he recovered, he looked at her in shock. Her gaze was unwavering. "U-uh." He stammered, trying to process what she'd said. "Sure?" He said in disbelief.
Kagami smiled, genuinely. "Good."
And then she'd grabbed him, pulled him in and kissed him.
Felix felt significantly like he was going to pass out from the shock.
Sure, this wasn't his first kiss with Kagami, but paired with this.. Confession? Was it even that? It was very very shocking.
He could feel the passion behind this kiss, less uncertain than the last two and more confident. He didn't have a chance to even make any of his senses work, he was too busy thinking of just how wonderful it felt.
And then, it was over.
Kagami pulled away and he stared at her, still trying to comprehend WHAT THE HECK JUST HAPPENED.
Adrien was going to freak out.
"SHE SAID WHAT!?"
Felix was right. Adrien did freak out.
He jumped up and screamed in shock and happiness and hugged him for definitely too long and started talking about weddings and Felix was 100% not listening.
He was still stunned and just sat there as Adrien rambled about wedding cakes and what flavours were better.
By the time Adrien noticed Felix wasn't listening, it had already been 20 minutes.
A while later, Felix had finally recovered and was more or less a functional person again.
Which was good, because Adrien had decided it was time for them to wear their pajamas.
After pushing Felix into his room to change, Adrien changed as well.
The fabric was soft and warm, and he was just so so so happy.
He went out in the living room and when Felix stepped out he grabbed his hand, and dragged him to his room and they stood in the mirror.
Identical, but so different at the same time.
"We look so cute!!" Adrien said excitedly.
Felix smiled softly. "...We do."
Adrien made Felix pose with him for a picture that he sent to Marinette and Kagami. Adrien also sent it to Amelie, despite Felix's minor protests.
Adrien thought he was probably too excited to sleep.
Felix made both of them warm milk and chuckled softly when Adrien passed out on the couch. Somehow, warm milk always made Adrien extremely sleepy.
He carried him to his room, very thankful that Adrien was as light as he was.
He smiled gently as he went to bed, sufficiently exhausted from the day.
And the month.
And the year.
He fell asleep with a smile on his face.
