Summary
Staring at Shouei’s back, Isagi moved his hand closer— but curled his fingers and stopped just short of touching him. He drew in a deep breath instead and turned around so that his back was facing him as well, closing his eyes from the faint light of the alarm clock informing him that it was already 3:03. It wouldn’t be a fun morning for them either way, and even less so for him the longer he stayed awake.
Success didn’t come for free, and he was overdue on his payment. He couldn’t afford to start second-guessing himself now.
