The loops always started the same.
Wake up. Assess the environment. Check who he'd rolled with him first- always a good start when Tommy's there initially. Stall for time until Tommy arrived, playing whatever role he’d been assigned.
At first, the repetitiveness was comforting. Then, boredom set in. For a period of time between the six millionth, nine hundredth thousand and eightieth loop and the six millionth, nine hundred and twelve thousand and fifty-fifth loop- he took careful notes in the time between time- he had fallen into listless insanity. That was five trillion, eighteen billion, five hundred and nine resets ago.
By now, he considered it his tutorial.
