   Summary

   “I’m sorry,” he whispered. He placed a gentle kiss on Charles’s hand. It would be the last time Charles would let him touch him. He couldn’t help but savour the moment. Push the inevitable for as long as he could.
   “For what?” Charles asked.
   “I need to tell someone,” Pierre whispered. The words were difficult to get out even though he knew what he needed to say.
   “What?” Charles looked surprised, but as he watched Pierre he seemed to understand. He pulled his hand from Pierre’s hands. “What are you talking about?”
   “That you’re suicidal,” Pierre said.
