Work Text:

The TV flashed multiple different colors, arraying a beam of signals that dispalyed a rather cheesy soap opera that was titled "The Immortal and The Restless". It was Michael's favorite show on TV, he always made sure to catch every single episode as it aired, hardly ever missing a single one (except for that one time baby kidnapped him but that was a special occasion, so it has nothing to say about his dedication or passion towards this series). His favorite character was Clara, and he related to her quite a lot actually, because he felt as though everybody else he knew thought he was crazy, and he was the only one with an ounce of sense.

Ennard was, unsurprisingly, hardly an exception to that herself. She thought he was crazy too, but in a good and fun way! She dangled off of his couch and allowed for her wires to be scattered around on the floor, which usually Michael didn't like and would get onto her for, yelling something about how he could have tripped over one of her many wires, stuff Ennard never listened to, yada yada yada. But they were both on the couch together in this moment watching TV, so it didn't matter! Ennard could let her wires droop down as much as she wanted, which was much more comfortable for her than making a constant effort to make sure they were attached to her body. Michael had to pick up a lot of loose wires and eyeballs around his apartment due to this. It was no worry!

Michael's couch was rather torn up, like one look at it would plant the thought into your head that he was actually just a crazy cat lady with over ten cats, none of which own any scratching posts and so they just resort to tearing up furniture, and most cats do. But it was actually all just the work of Ennard, her sharp iron claws were like those of bear claws. Ever heard the saying that bears have knives for hands? Ennard certainly does. So, a little bit of damage to property is to be expected, especially since she lives with Michael, now. No big deal, she makes it up to him! (no she doesn't.)

"I cannot BELIEVE how BAD the voice acting is!" Ennard chimed in, and it was rather apparent that it was Funtime Foxy's voice-box here, Michael both being able to tell from the voice itself, and the comment. Funtime Foxy was all about acting and making sure others did it correctly. He was, in the most affectionate way possible, completely and utterly full of himself. Michael rolled his eyes at the comment, but scoffed slightly, because as much as he enjoyed this show, he couldn't deny that Foxy was right. The voice acting was pretty damn laughable, to put it bluntly.

For the most part here, Ennard was paying attention to the show, only occasionally getting tired and dozing off slightly for a few seconds and then snapping back to reality and paying most of her attention back to the show once more, but Elizabeth was also kind of busy eyeing the popcorn that Michael was eating. He always ate popcorn when he watched TV, and Ennard never paid much mind to it. But for some reason today, she wanted it, even though Ennard had only cared for one type of human food for her existence as a robot, and she assumed that was it.

Elizabeth had a notorious sweet tooth while she was alive, and Michael grew used to it, because he was the one that she constantly had begged to take her to the local ice cream parlor and throw in some of his allowances to buy one of those chocolate ice cream bars for her, and after a while, it became routine for him to take her to those shops after he'd pick her up from her school, and it was the norm, but that was all. It was usually only sweet foods, and popcorn isn't exactly sweet, but Elizabeth was craving some either way. She inched a bit closer to Michael, which admittedly startled the guy a little bit, considering that Ennard was a giant amalgamated robot, and they had only been living with Michael in his apartment for a month, and it takes a little more than a month to accept and get used to the fact that your baby sister is now a giant robot and is sharing it with numerous other ghost kids, but eh, he knew he'd get over it eventually.

And one thing about Elizabeth was that she was absolutely never the kind to just straight up ask you for something if she wanted something from you, she had always made sure to just 'lightly' hint at it, but she'd do it in such a way that it was incredibly obvious to anyone exactly what she wanted, and you would have had to have been an idiot to not get it. And Michael was many things, but an idiot was not one of them, so as soon as he noticed that she was looking at him with her singular robotic eye behind her Coils the Clown mask, and then she was turning her eye back down to look back at the bowl of popcorn he had been holding, he understood pretty quickly. He moved it over and held it out for her, but didn't talk because he was too focused on the soap opera, signifying a non-verbal reassurance that she could have some. It was odd that she was requesting some, considering robots couldn't and didn't need to eat, but kids also shouldn't be able to become robots, so Michael learned to stop questioning things. It didn't get him anywhere.

Her eyes lit up once she got the 'okay' to go ahead and take some out of the bowl, and with how the mask she wore was designed, it made her look even happier than she usually looked, and it was no exaggeration to say that the mask constantly made it look like she was smiling. When you're locked in a room and watching her through the window as she threatens to scoop your insides out and wear you as a meat suit, it's not the friendliest looking thing in the world, but when you're playing and coloring with her and softly whispering lovely and peaceful bedtime stories to her, it's adorable, so Michael smiled at his little sister who was now happily munching on some of the popcorn out of the bowl.

And, of course, she had a hard time understanding how swallowing as a robot was supposed to work, so most of the popcorn fell out of her mouth and onto the floor after she chewed it up with her metal fangs, but she got it eventually.
