Hop gulps, his heart pounding harshly in his chest. He feels his mouth go dry and about a billion questions spring to mind, nestling on the very tip of his tongue— is Victor okay? Is he angry? When did he get back? Why didn’t he tell me? Did you see him? Is he looking for me? Please, Lee, tell me he is— and yet Hop finds himself unable to ask any of them, which is probably for Leon’s benefit.
However, what his brother says next…“Victor’s in trouble, Hop. He’s in some really, really deep shit, Hoppip,”
