Shawn sat on their shared bed, scrolling through his phone, right next to him was his boyfriend. Dave, they had been dating for a few years, it took the other a few months to get over his obsessive crush on Sky but after that they ended up confessing to each other and now their here.
And even with all the time that has passed Dave is still as oblivious as the day that met.
“Hey, Dave” Shawn said breaking the comfortable silence that flowed throughout the room. Dave looked over at the other next to him.
“Yeah?” He replied.
“There is this test going around, it proves how smart a person is based on spelling.”
“Really?”
“Yeah! Wanna take it?”
Dave looked hesitant for a moment, but it was coming from his boyfriend, it should be fine.
Right?
“O-okay, hit me with it”
Shawn smirked.
“Okay first test”
“Spell “IHOP” out loud but then add “nis” after” Shawn had a weird smile, Dave knew he was up to something but this seemed harmless enough.
“Oh, well that’s not that hard”
“I-H-O-Pnes-“ Dave stopped himself before he could finish. His face now seemed to show a serious change in expression, he stared at Shawn with disbelief and disappointment as the brunette laughed uncontrollably.
“Was it really THAT funny?” Dave said sternly.
“Oh relax, you’re so uptight” Shawn giggled out, trying to control his laughter whilst talking.
“Whatever” Dave rolled his eyes in a joking yet annoyed manner.
He was really dumb for falling for that.
