“An accessory shop…”
Ayra gazed upon the unassuming façade of this building, a small shop in the Aether Resort which sold various accessories to heroes – hats, ribbons, glasses, even wigs. Her children had both urged her to come take a visit. She decided it was worth it. Whatever she bought from it certainly would be less of a pain to wear than the tea-attendant outfit she previously wore with Mercedes. Anna was already standing in the center of the store when she entered, a big grin residing on her face.
“Hello, Princess Ayra! Welcome to the Accessory Shop!”
“Hi,” Ayra curtly replied.
“You look like you need a hat!”
“A…hat.” Ayra reflexively patted the top of her head. “What makes you think I need a hat?”
“Don’t you think that it would make you look better?”
“Mm…not really. But now that I think about it…maybe Larcei and Scáthach would want to see it…”
She looked around the selection of hats, stopping when she realized one of them was a roasted turkey on a plate. “How does this even work?”
“Magic!” Anna answered. “If I may suggest something,” she continued, “I think one of the helmets could fit you.”
Ayra breathed a sigh of relief that Anna didn’t suggest anything too girly. She chose the Gilt Helm and then went into the changing room to put it on. When she was done, Anna ushered her to a viewing area where Larcei and Scáthach were waiting since they too were browsing for hats.
“What do you think?”
“Eh. It covers your hair too much,” Larcei said.
“It’s not the most comfortable either,” Ayra said as she took off the helmet. “Let’s try something else.”
Ayra returned to browsing the selection of hats in the Accessory Shop. Finally, one hat caught her eye. It was a black cap, a sort of barracks cover, with a shining visor and some kind of crest on the front. “Which one is this?” she asked.
“Ah, that’s the Academy Cap from Byleth! A very good choice, but isn’t that too much black in combination with your hair? Here, give me one moment…”
After a minute, Anna returned with a cap that looked identical to the Academy Cap save for the cap part being colored white rather than black. “This is the Ashen Wolves Cap from Balthus. I think it will fit you better.”
Ayra took the Ashen Wolves Cap and donned it in the changing room. Then, she returned to the viewing area.
“You look great, Mom!” Larcei exclaimed.
“It fits perfectly on you,” Scáthach added.
“Thank you! Now, how about you two?”
Eventually, Larcei came out wearing a Pointy Magic Hat while Scáthach wore a Hoshidan Hat. Ayra thought that the Pointy Magic Hat was a great fit for Larcei. On the other hand, she shook her head at Scathach’s choice of the Hoshidan Hat, but Scathach liked it as it would protect his face from the sun. Afterward, Ayra forked over a good portion of her money to Anna since her children didn’t have any. Then the three Isaachians walked out of the Accessory Shop, happy to show off their new adornments to the rest of the world.
