Summary
Childe was confident strolling through the grounds of the Taritsa’s palace with his new cloak wrapped tightly around his shoulders, blocking out the cold that was ever present even in the enclosed halls. Not only was he the first omega to become a harbinger, at seventeen, he was also the youngest ever. He knew that meant he was strong, and strength made him cocky.
And The Captain…? Well he was easily the one of the eleven harbingers who got under Childe’s skin the most. Sure some of the others looked down their nose at him, but as an omega he was used to that. No, what irritated him most of all was the stern alpha’s cold indifference. The Captain refused to even acknowledge him and he’d had enough. Guided by his arrogance, the next time they were both on respite from a mission, Childe approached him at the training grounds and threw down a challenge that didnt go as planned.
