"You are being sneaky!" Patton giggles, his cheeks flustered.
"Me? Sneaky?" Janus turns to him with a very performative nonchalant look. "How on earth would I be sneaky playing Mario Party?"
"You put this thing on my Wii remote thingy!" Patton shows the lopsided smiling dog sticker he plucked from his cyan remote, right on top of the sensor. "I was wondering why i couldn't get Rosalina to move in all the mini-games!"
"It sounds more like an oversight from you." Janus smiles wickedly. "And a strategy from me."
"You don't even need a strategy, I already lose all the time!" Patton laughed.
"And that's how I stay winning!" Janus' eyes show a display of amusement while tapping Patton on the nose before turning back to the screen. "Should we play again? I bet Roman will love that we are hogging the TV a Christmas afternoon, he certainly despises watching those Hallmark movies of his."
"Aw! You care!" Patton jumps to attempt giving Janus a quick hug, that turns into Patton being pushed in a fast motion towards the couch.
"That doesn't sound like me at all." He says.
Patton blinks at him once before turning his eyes towards the ceiling and exclaiming: "Oh, my! Remus, what are you doing up there?"
Janus turns his head in a neck-cracking pace, and finds himself confused as he stares at a Remus-free ceiling, until he feels arms around him and a soft chuckle.
"I can also be sneaky." Patton smiles.
"I have arrived!" A voice booms from the hallway. "I heard a mention of my brother, but I will forgive and forget as long as you give me a kiss on the cheek. Then, the torturous spell that is placed upon anyone who hears that atrocious name will be lifted from myself!"
"Hi, Roman!" Patton is already up and moving towards the side entering the living room, and Roman runs towards him dramatically and then grabs his hips and lifts him while spinning. They look like a Disney Princess couple meeting each other after a long and sorrowful journey. They last saw each other 20 minutes ago.
"Hello, dear prince. Do you bring any news?" Janus lazily looks towards them, trying to look casual and not amused by their behavior.
"I do! In fact!" He says with flare while he gently throws Patton on the soft pillows on the couch. "We are watching a movie! And I finally came back from my quest to retrieve it!"
"Movie! Yay!" Patton is rubbing his cheeks on the pleasant texture of the pillows, but replies to make sure Roman knows he is listening and enthusiastic about the plans.
"What kind of quest did you go to, my prince? A walk to find the last open Blockbuster?" Janus teases, and Roman just sends him an unimpressed look.
"Actually! I was with our favorite nerd, who had borrowed my Christmas DVDs for a 'project of human perception about what truly makes the holidays unique for them', I said 'you just want a good idea present for Secret Santa' and he said 'get out!' so I'm here!" Roman smiles widely, before sitting in front of Janus and waiting.
"What?" Janus raises his eyebrows, prompting him to explain.
"My kiss?" Roman tapped his own cheek. "We already established I need to be rescued."
Rolling his eyes so hard it looks painful, Janus places his lips on the side of Roman's face and just to be silly, he makes a 'bftttt' sound.
"I am cured!" He gets up and jumps on top of an unsuspecting Patton, who almost curses and yells before letting a soft 'ooof'.
Patton mouth makes noises under blankets and Roman's chest.
"What?" Roman let's out a giggle. "What are you saying, Pat? Articulate!"
He finally finds a way to get his face away, spitting out a blanket dust bunnie before talking. "What movie are we watching?" His face is red and Roman's heart melts a bit.
"We are watching Black Friday." He pulls out a DVD case for the Starkid show, something very intriguing considering Starkid has never distributed this show in a DVD format as far as the other two know.
"The Starkid musical?" Janus questions, eyeing Patton, who is already hiding in Roman's chest again. "Isn't it more... unsettling than festive?"
"What do you mean? The love of families that beat the odds to make each other happy? What isn't festive about it? Also, the anti-capitalist message is a plus!" Roman rushes to pop the disk in the DVD player, while Janus just shakes his head disappointed.
"That Virgil of ours is straying you from the path of the Lord, actual Christmas movies. Like Home Alone."
"I would argue that Home Alone is equally scary." Patton quickly intervenes, but Janus looks at him and says:
"You think the old Winnie The Pooh books and movies are cute, so your opinion is also biased."
Patton's arms cross over his Winnie the Pooh sweater covered chest.
"Shall we start the movie night?" Roman grins in a childish manner, and Patton's frown softens.
"Of course, kiddo. Go tell everyone, I'll set up the snacks."
"And I'll stay here." Janus says, not planning on moving.
"You, mister, are on pop corn duty!" Patton pulls him towards the door.
"If i have to help, at least let me be in charge of drinks!"
"No way!"
