Work Text:
Tony pressed a kiss to his baby’s head. The child gurgled a bit, but ultimately stayed firmly asleep.
Tony smiled, a fond glimmer in his eyes. The night lay thick around the Tower walls, moon and stars glistening through the curtained windows.
Peter’s breaths were soft, quiet. Tony gently laid a hand on his little belly, applying a secure pressure to his baby.
With a sleepy groan, Peter blinked his eyes open, staring up at his father. A smile graced his lips, blessing his Dad with a gum-filled grin.
Pride swelled in Tony’s heart. He very much loved his son, his little boy.
He couldn’t wait for the day when he’d be old enough to join him in the labs so they could work together and bounce project ideas off one another.
Tony wrapped his hands under his son, picking him up and cradling him to his chest. The baby pawed at the blue glow of the arc reactor through his fathers’ night shirt.
“You like that, don’t you?” Tony asked him quietly, amused.
Peter only gave him a chubby cheeked smile.
Tony moved to cradle his baby in one arm, brushing his scarred fingers over the soft hair on Peter’s little head.
“I love you, sweetheart.” Tony smiled, Peter smiling back.
“I always will.” He whispered, bowing his head to nudge against Peter’s own forehead.
