Summary
After a confrontation gone wrong, Jesper and Kaz retreat to a safehouse to patch up their wounds. Things soon get much harder than anticipated.

"Are you still bleeding?" Jesper asks, pulling his guns out of their holsters and placing them down on the table. "Give me a look-”The words break in his mouth, fall apart like dry sand in his hands, blur against his tongue like something melted, because he's looking at Kaz's torso, and nothing quite makes sense. Half-dried blood is smeared around the wound - or, where the wound was, more accurately. Because instead of a bleeding, gushing hole in Kaz's side, there's a small patch of scar tissue, all shiny and pale, and just underneath this new skin, Jesper can see the greyish outline of the bullet.
He's going to be sick.
