He revisited Grogu’s memories in his mind’s eye, thought about all the scrapes and terrors he and the Mandalorian had confronted, always emerging safe, together. He tried to comfort himself in that pattern, but then that didn’t help either, because desire would envelop his limbs, electric down to his fingertips. The feeling went far past comfort, to think of the man beneath beskar armor, his heart, his skill—it was entrancing, arousing. It was sheer pleasure, to think of a man like that, who would protect a child with his life, with everything he had.
ABO canon divergence from Grogu's rescue at the end of S2. Din and Luke face an onslaught of pressures (biological imperative, politics, a semi-sentient weapon), and can perhaps help each other, only they're practically strangers... or maybe not.
