This is a preface that I do not support AI art. It is plagiarism and takes away jobs from artists. This is mostly me pointing out other ways to identify AI art that I’ve noticed.
So far, I’ve only really easily seen art of Yuugi/Atem and Meta Knight. I might add more to this if my feed changes.
Chapter 2: Yuugi/Atem

I keep seeing AI art of Yuugi/Atem and it is some of the funniest and most easily identifiable I’ve seen.
Yuugi and Atem are different characters. Very similar characters, but the AI keeps messing up on the differences between them. For some reason the AI is getting traits from both of them, probably because Atem is officially known as “Other Yuugi” in most official material and “Yami Yuugi” in fandom material.
Biggest mess up I keep seeing is when the Millennium Puzzle is in the art. The AI can’t seem to register a pyramid shape and produces a nonsensical shape with an eye on it.
Another one is the hair. It consistently gets the blond bangs right, since that is on both characters, but messes up on Atem’s lightning bolts. It sometimes follows the “finger nonsense” in that it can’t recognize how many there should be. There’s either too many or not enough. It’s also reading Yuugi, because it looks like it decided there shouldn’t be bolts and stopped halfway through making it.
Another thing is the eyes. The art I’ve seen can’t decide what color they should be. I’ve seen blue eyes with red swirls, purple eyes with blue spots, etc. Canonically Yuugi and Atem have dark purple eyes. Season 0 gave Atem red eyes, which has been considered somewhat of a norm for fan art. I honestly have no clue where the blue is coming from.
Chapter 3: Meta Knight

I’ve only seen a couple AI pieces of Meta Knight, but I pegged them right away.
One of the easiest ways to identify AI art of characters is if they have different forms. Meta Knight has a cape form and a wing form, with plenty of official and fan art of both. If the art can’t decide if it should be wing shaped or cape shaped, it is very obvious. There is fan art where he is switching between forms, but it’s very different from the AI messing up. There is a transition, versus the AI making a smudgy mess.
Another one is if Galaxia is in the art. Galaxia is a golden sword with 2 spikes extending symmetrically from both sides of it. Same thing as “finger nonsense”, it can’t decide how many spikes there should be and they aren’t symmetrical.
Found another one just minutes after posting this. The spike on his shoulder armor is extending very far out, about the length of his sword. It’s very comical. One is also blended into the side of his wing/cape.
