Work Text:

Hitoshi and Denki are sitting on the roof of Hitoshi's car, enjoying their drinks and looking at the stars. Hitoshi is explaining the different constellations to Denki. Suddenly, Denki asks him, "So, why did you bring me here, Hitoshi?" Hitoshi replies, "Because I care about you." However, Denki finds it hard to believe and responds, "That doesn't make sense." Hitoshi laughs and says, "Sure it does." Denki is puzzled and just stares. Hitoshi then comments, "She's pretty mean." Confused, Denki asks, "Who?" Hitoshi points up to the universe, not just the sky, stars, or Milky Way. "The universe," he clarifies. "shes a dick" Denki chuckles and says, "You're drunk, Hitoshi." Hitoshi laughs even harder and exclaims, "I wish, this shit is hardly given me a buzz."

They sit in silence, eyes fixated on the mesmerizing display above. The sky is awash with hues of pink, blue, and purple, while the Milky Way stretches across the vast expanse, punctuated by countless burning stars. The jet black canvas of the night sky serves as the perfect backdrop for this stunning spectacle, leaving the teenagers awestruck and breathless.

HHitoshi leaned towards Denki and whispered, "You remind me of the stars." Denki's heart skipped a beat as he gazed into Hitoshi's eyes, wondering what he meant. But then Hitoshi continued, his voice brimming with emotion, "You shine so brightly, even during the darkest times, and you make me believe that there's more to life than just the difficulties i've been through."

Denki's eyes welled up with tears as he listened to Hitoshi's words. He had always respected Hitoshi's strength and resilience, but he never expected him to feel this way about him. "And when you use your quirk," Hitoshi went on, "the way lightning dances around you, wild and crazy...you're pure chaos, Kaminari. You are lightning in human form, unpredictable and destructive, but also beautiful, like a lightning strike that leaves you stunned and paralyzed."

Hitoshi paused, his gaze intense as he searched Denki's face. "You are like a piece of artwork that I don't fully understand,......but that's okay. Your complexity and uniqueness are part of what makes you so special to me."

Denki felt a sense of warmth and appreciation for Hitoshi's kind words. Even though he was tearing up a bit, Hitoshi's opinion of him was not something he heard often, and it meant more to him than he could express in words. "You always think that you're stupid, but I don't get it..... you might say some dumb things sometimes, but that doesn't make you stupid. You're incredibly talented in English and literature, and the little poems you write are so vivid, they make me think," Hitoshi said, taking a sip of his whiskey. Denki rolled his eyes but smiled at his friend's words.

"You give me too much credit," Denki whispered sniffily , and Hitoshi scoffed.

"Please, I don't give you enough credit. You don't give yourself enough credit, and you're so mean to yourself. I don't like it when people are mean to my best friend. So, I'm going to need you to stop before I have to beat your ass, babe."

Denki shifted his position and rolled over to lie on his side, facing Hitoshi who was lying next to him. Both of them were lost in their thoughts as they gazed at the sky above. Suddenly, Hitoshi broke the silence and asked "you wanted to know why i brought you here" . Denki nodded in response, curious to know the answer. Without averting his gaze from Denki's face, Hitoshi pointed toward the sky and softly said, "Look" Denki followed his gaze and saw what he was pointing at

- a meteor shower was taking place right above them

. Denki was captivated as he looked up at the sky. It had transformed into a breathtaking display of vivid colors and lights. Countless white lines shot across the dark canvas of the night sky, resembling a painter's strokes of white over blues, purples, and pinks. Denki sat up to get a better view and continued to watch the falling stars. Each one left a trail of light behind it, illuminating the darkness with its vibrant colors. The display was so beautiful that Denki was left speechless, lost in the majesty of the moment.

As the celestial event painted the night sky with a breathtaking display of meteorites, Hitoshi's attention was not on the cosmic beauty that surrounded him. Instead, his focus was solely on the boy sitting next to him. Hitoshi gazed at Denki's face with a sense of awe, taking in every detail of his features. He watched as Denki's bright golden eyes transformed with each passing moment, gradually turning into a darker shade that swallowed the golden hues. The reflected stars sparkled above in Denki's honey and gold irises, accentuating the countless freckles that adorned his face. Hitoshi couldn't help but marvel at the way every freckle seemed to light up and darken with each passing meteor.

As the meteor shower continued, Denki's face was a canvas of emotions. Hitoshi watched as Denki's expression transformed from one of surprise to one of pure excitement, and finally, to one of joy. Hitoshi couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with happiness, knowing that he was the one who had made this experience possible for Denki. For years, Denki had talked about wanting to see a meteor shower, and Hitoshi had made it his mission to make that dream come true.

As the meteor shower slowly came to an end, Hitoshi turned to his best friend Denki and smiled. Hitoshi had been feeling a deep affection for Denki for quite some time now, but he didn't want to risk ruining their friendship by confessing his love. Instead, he decided to enjoy this moment and just appreciate Denki's company.

But as he was lost in his thoughts, Denki suddenly looked at him with a warm and genuine smile and said, "I love you. I love you so much." Hitoshi was taken aback, his heart beating faster than ever before. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He looked into Denki's eyes for a moment, feeling overwhelmed with emotions.

Finally, he let out a giggle and crashed into Denki, hugging him tightly. "You...what?" he managed to say, his face contorted into a wide smile. "I love you too," he said, feeling grateful for this wonderful moment.

The two of them stayed there for a while longer, gazing up at the stars and enjoying each other's company. Hitoshi felt a sense of joy and contentment that he hadn't felt in a long time. He knew that he would never forget this moment, the car playing some indie music, denkis choice of course denkis lips on his his body pressed against his own the stars the breeze the grass and road everything he would remember it all "your such a dork" hitoshi said and denki smiled
