Jack sat at the desk in his medical room, talking to Crimson about some of his old medical records. His body was begging him to put food in his growling stomach, but he ignored it. Focusing on the papers instead, like he had been doing for the past five days.
“I did have a appointment before I came here, it was about my eyesight. They said something about glasses, but I don't think I need them y'know?” Crimson chuckled lightly, fidgeting with the grey strap on his red mask.
“I guess being blind does have that perk.” Jack replied, leaning back into the chair.
“yeah,” Crimson gave a small shrug, turning to Jack. “Or mostly blind anyway.”
“I think that you could ask Slender to go on a personal supply run and get some glasses, but like build them into your mask’s lenses or something.” He suggested, tapping his claws on the desk. His stomach growled again.
“I'll do that, sounds easier than wearing them under my mask.” He hummed, tilting his head. “Are you okay? You sound hungry.. Or irritated, I can't tell.”
Jack looked up at Crimson, an ear flickering as he watched him. “A little, but I'll be okay.. You should go talk to Slender now, I have to visit Jeff and check on his ‘smile’. Apparently he reopened it again during a mission”
“Hmm okay, thanks man.” He nodded, walking out of the medical room, heading upstairs.
The demon sighed, his hunger was getting painful. A monster clawing at his entire body at this point, making all his senses heightened and adrenaline slowly making its way into his bloodstream. But he ignored it, he'll just eat later..
He walked down into the living room, passing by Toby, who was listening to BEN rant about video games. He smiled under his mask, going into the hallway, opening the door to Jeff's room.
The smell of metallic blood filled his nose, he stopped in his tracks. Looking over at Jeff who was standing by the door, looking at him in curiousity.
“What's the matter? You frozen or something?” He asked half-teasing, hands tucked into his bloody hoodie's pockets.
Jack couldn't reply, he instead perked up. His hunger made his animalistic instincts took over without warning. Ears as high as they can be, eyes scanning his new food, he slowly crept over. Standing completely still.
“Uh.. E.J, you okay?” His brows furrowed in concern, and he took his hands out of his pockets.
The demon then lunged at Jeff, tackling him to the ground. A low deep growl coming from the back of his throat, his claws digging into the others arms. Jeff kicked him off, grabbing a knife from somewhere. Jack grabbed his legs, pulling Jeff so he got on the hardwood floor again. Jeff cut his forearm, and added a slash to his thigh.
Jack held Jeff down by his arms, legs straddling his sides. His stomach throbbed as he looked down at the meal below him. He was so close, he could almost taste the flesh. He could hear a few shouts, but all hear and see was the food.. He flipped Jeff over on his back so he could eat without the prey fighting. He leaned down, ready to tear the skin off the shoulder.
“E.J STOP-”
Some wires attempted to pull Jack back, it had little affect. The demon is way stronger, and running on pure hunger and adrenaline. He clawed at the restraints, trying to get them off. When he finally did, two pairs of hands grabbed his arms. Forcing him off of Jeff, pinning him on the ground.
Some more cables and wires came and wrapped around Jack, trying to keep him from getting up. They tightened painfully around his arms and legs, plastic and metal making him stop struggling. Regardless of the lack of movement, the two men still held him down. Now he could start to make out their voices..
“BEN, go grab some organs from E.J’s room. We can hold him down.” Tim grunted, gripping Jack's shoulders.
Jack looked over, Hoodie and Tim were holding him down. While BEN had wires and cables lassoed around him, with Toby keeping them secure. Jeff was a few feet away, keeping his hands up as a sign of ‘I don't want to get into this entire situation’. The ghost quickly ran off after Tim’s order, leaving the four in the room.

Two days later. Jack is fully back to normal. And eating well, thanks to Slender making sure he ate regularly. The demon felt terrible for attacking Jeff, and apologized. A lot.
And every time, Jeff said it was okay. And it wasn't his fault, he wasn't in his normal mindset after all.
But it didn't stop Jack from feeling like the worst monster on the planet. He attacked a person, he tried to EAT Jeff. What kind of a “person” almost eats their friend?!
He growled at himself, hovering over the operating table. Looking down at his hands, the claws unseethed. Glinting in the faint white light above, shining on the black nails. He's a danger.. To everyone.. Even his own family.. Like a stray cat, taken in, but it still bites and scratches..
…
What happens when a cat scratches?
…
Jack turned over his wrist. Grabbing on the claw on his index finger, tugging on it. Giving a small Huff, he pulled with all of his strength. A sharp throbbing escaped the nail bedding, tar-like blood seeping out. But he didn't care, and continued to pull.
His sharp teeth grinded as he ripped out the first claw. Tossing it on the table he took a deep breath, not taking a break as he started to declaw the next finger, and the next, and the next. Until his entire left hand had no claws, and black bled from his fingers.
It feels like his hand is burning, and being stabbed at the same time. The warm liquid feels cold against the pain, making the burning less hot. He sprinted over to the hydrogen peroxide and the sink, cleaning his hand. Adding the disinfectant after.
Once the blood stopped flowing, he immediately started to declaw the right hand. Absentmindedly tossing the discarded claws on the table.
A small painful whine left his mouth as the last claw was gone, the burning spreading to both of his hands. He put them both under the faucet again, washing them. Staring at his reflection in the red water.
It burned so much.
