    The sight that greets him is one that Lan Qiren never wished to see. Both of his nephews together, in their inner robes. Xichen is standing bent forward, grabbing his ankles. Wangji behind him, holding a ruler in his hands.

    Somewhere in his subconscious, Lan Qiren has always worried for his nephews. In spite of everything, he is pleased that he caught them early. It could have gone further, much further.
