Chapter Text
The Friday night before the last spring break of his college career begins, Jaebeom calls Mark. It’s been a few weeks since they last had a chance to video chat, the different time zones and sheer volume of coursework during their last semester making catching up with each other difficult.
It’s nice to be able to talk without worrying about having to wake up for class the next day. Jaebeom has a flight to catch tomorrow evening, but even if he sleeps in, he’ll still have plenty of time to get ready, so he isn’t too worried about it. He is a little concerned about Mark’s odd behavior, though – his friend keeps fidgeting and checking his phone far too often, and Jaebeom just knows something is up.
“You’re hiding something,” he finally says accusingly, interrupting their own conversation because he can’t take it anymore. “You’re acting all weird and distracted.”
“Okay, you got me,” Mark says, conceding far more easily than Jaebeom expected him to, which means he’s actually been waiting for Jaebeom to bring it up this whole time. “I...I met someone.”
“You met someone?” Jaebeom repeats incredulously. “Why haven’t I heard about this already? Tell me everything! Who is she? What’s she like?”
“He, actually,” Mark corrects him, his tone cautious.
Jaebeom sits in silence for a moment before stifling a laugh. “Wow. A few years away from home and Mr. Token-Straight-Friend is no longer straight?”
“Hey, I always said I would be open to the possibility of dating a guy,” Mark protests, but he doesn’t really look upset. “But yeah, he’s – well, he’s great. He’s an international student too, from Hong Kong, and he knows Mandarin and also Korean for some reason, so I can talk to him in three languages, which is pretty cool. He’s here on a fencing scholarship and he’s like, the best fencer in the division, but he’s still really friendly with everyone and down-to-earth and super talkative and hyper and sweet.”
Jaebeom stares at the screen in slightly bewildered amusement. “You know, we’ve been friends our whole lives, and I’ve literally never heard you talk that much at one time before. You must really like this guy.”
“Shut up,” Mark mumbles, but he’s clearly trying to hide a grin.
“So you’re dating the star fencer of your school?” Jaebeom presses, eager to learn more about the mystery man who has Mark practically glowing as he talks. “Damn.”
“We’re not dating,” Mark says hurriedly. “I mean, I don’t know. We hang out a lot and we have a lot of common interests and I like spending time with him and –”
“Mark,” Jaebeom interrupts, raising an eyebrow. “You clearly want something more than friendship with him. So if you’re not already together, why don’t you ask him out?”
“Funny that you’re the one saying that to me when I distinctly remember someone not even being able to ask Jinyoung to prom,” Mark grumbles.
Jaebeom grins. “Now you see that it isn’t so easy, huh?”
Mark rolls his eyes good-naturedly. “Whatever. It’s just, like I said, he’s really friendly with everyone, so it’s hard to tell whether he’s actually interested or if he just wants to be friends.”
“Well, you’ll never know if you don’t ask,” Jaebeom says sagely, aware that his smile is probably obnoxiously smug.
“I hate you,” Mark shoots back with no heat behind his words. “I’ll let you know if anything happens, okay?”
“You better,” Jaebeom jokingly warns him. “But hey, you haven’t even told me his name yet!”
Mark, despite his attempts to look casual, melts into a smile as he reveals the name. “Jackson. Jackson Wang.” And Jaebeom has no idea who Jackson Wang is, really, but if he can make Jaebeom’s best friend look this happy, then Jaebeom likes him already.
“Well, I’m sure things will work out,” Jaebeom says, and even though he’s still grinning, his words are completely sincere. “I’m really happy for you, Mark. And I can’t wait to meet him.”
“Thanks, Jaebeom,” Mark says, smiling gratefully before his expression shifts into something more mischievous. “Anyway, enough about me. You’ve got a huge week ahead of you! Are you two all packed?”
“Yeah, I finished up a few hours ago, and Jinyoungie’s had everything ready for about five days, of course,” Jaebeom says, shaking his head fondly. “It’s so cute, how excited he is. I’m glad the timing of this trip worked out so well.”
“You’re both such dorks,” Mark teases affectionately. “Only you would consider driving around some obscure part of Japan a fun way to spend spring break.”
“Hey,” Jaebeom says, pretending to be offended. “Hokkaido isn’t obscure. We’re even meeting up with some friends before we start the drive. One of the guys from my music production class is apparently going to be in Sapporo with his band, and he invited us since Jinyoungie knows one of his bandmates and we’ll be flying in on the same day.”
“Sounds fun,” Mark says. “I’m sure Jinyoung must be really thrilled that you’re finally doing this. I bet he won’t see your little surprise coming, though.”
Jaebeom can’t help smiling as he thinks about how eagerly Jinyoung has been counting down the days and what he has planned for the week ahead. “This is like, his dream destination. He’s been talking about it forever, and I wanted to do something special for him.”
Mark grins widely. “You’re so beyond whipped, man. It’s adorable.” His expression softens as he continues, “I’m glad you have each other. You both deserve it.”
“Don’t get all mushy on me, Tuan,” Jaebeom says lightly, laughing a little. “But thank you. He’s – I just really love him, you know?”
“I do know,” Mark agrees, a playful smirk tugging at his lips. “You’ve come a long way since fourteen-year-old you wouldn’t stop complaining about how love is dumb and gross. I’m so proud.”
“Oh, shut up,” Jaebeom says good-naturedly. “I know he’s my first love, but...he’s going to be my last, too. It kind of feels like maybe that should be scary, but it isn’t. Loving him just feels right.”
“I can tell,” Mark says warmly. “It’s obvious that he’s your forever.”
Jaebeom exhales slowly, unable to keep the dopey smile off his face. “Yeah,” he says softly. “He is.”
~~~
“I can’t believe we’re actually here,” Jinyoung says, clinging to Jaebeom’s arm as they walk out of the plane and into the airport. “You really listened to all my rambling about wanting to visit Hokkaido.” He sends Jaebeom a glowing smile, and if Jaebeom hadn’t already been madly in love with Jinyoung, this smile alone probably would have pushed him over the edge.
"I always listen to you, Jinyoungie,” Jaebeom says, not caring how cheesy it is, because it’s true.
“I bet you have something planned,” Jinyoung says, sounding accusatory. “I was talking to Chanyeol-hyung the other day and he said you asked him about things I used to enjoy when I was little.”
For a moment, Jaebeom is afraid that Jinyoung’s brother might have accidentally revealed more than that, but Jinyoung doesn’t seem to have anything more to say on the subject, so he allows himself to relax again. “Hm, I guess you’ll just have to be patient.”
“Jaebeommie!” Jinyoung whines playfully, but they both know Jinyoung isn’t actually upset.
“Look!” Jaebeom says, strategically changing the subject as he points at a sign. “That’s where we can rent our car. Are you ready to test your Japanese skills?”
“Of course,” Jinyoung says readily. “We’re going to get the best car ever!”
They end up choosing a little white and red pickup truck that Jinyoung immediately falls in love with because it’s “cute” and “has so much character, just look at it, hyung!” Jaebeom goes with it, partly because he kind of understands what Jinyoung means, but mostly because he’s willing to agree to anything that will make Jinyoung happy.
“Do you want to stop by the hotel to clean up before we go to the bar?” Jaebeom asks once they’ve settled in the truck.
“Let’s drop our things off, at least,” Jinyoung decides. “But I don’t want to miss Doyoungie’s performance, so let’s hurry!”
Jaebeom laughs softly as he starts the car, deliberately driving much slower than the speed limit to tease Jinyoung. “I think he’d be okay if we missed a little bit of the show if it meant we avoided getting a speeding ticket, you know.” Jinyoung sticks his tongue out childishly in retaliation and Jaebeom laughs again before speeding up. “All right, all right, I promise I’ll get us there on time.”
“Good,” Jinyoung says, his arms crossed like he’s pretending to be upset. “One of us has to make sure we aren’t ruining all of our friendships because of bad time management.” He’s clearly trying to sound stern, but at the next red light, Jaebeom glances over to see him trying to hide a smile.
“I guess I better keep you around then,” Jaebeom says, and he hopes his voice doesn’t waver too much, hopes he isn’t revealing too much as he says it.
A wave of pride washes over him as he watches the smile blossom on Jinyoung’s lips. “Yeah, I guess you should.”
~~~
They reach the bar right as the band is about to start playing. It isn’t quite Jaebeom or Jinyoung’s preferred music style, but they enjoy it regardless. Jaebeom buys Jinyoung a drink, and they share it as they dance along to the catchy tunes.
“Hey, Jaebeom-hyung!” After the performance ends, Jaebeom hears his name being called by a familiar voice.
He turns towards the source of the voice with a grin. “Hey, Jaehyun! That was a great show.” He and Jaehyun met on the first day of Jaebeom’s junior year and Jaehyun’s freshman year, and they’ve gotten close since then, sharing several music-related elective classes every semester.
Jaehyun walks over to them, smiling as he draws closer. “It’s awesome that you guys could make it! I’m guessing this is the famous Jinyoung-hyung?”
“That’s me,” Jinyoung says, inclining his head politely at Jaehyun. “It’s nice to meet you, Jaehyun. Jaebeom-hyung and Doyoungie always have great things to say about your music.”
“I’m glad to have made such a good impression,” Jaehyun says, his shy smile revealing the dimples in his cheeks. “Jaebeom-hyung’s music isn’t too shabby either.”
“Thanks, Jae,” Jaebeom says, feeling oddly like he’s being complimented by a little brother. “Anyway, you guys sounded really good. How long have you all been together?”
“It’s been about a year, but we’ve all known each other for ages,” Jaehyun says cheerfully. “In fact, here comes Doyoung now. Doie-hyung, look who’s here!”
Jinyoung’s face lights up when he notices the man walking past them on his way back from the bar. “Hi Doyoungie!”
“Jinyoung-hyung, I’m so glad you could make it!” Doyoung says, stopping to give Jinyoung a hug before drawing away and turning to Jaebeom. “Who’s your friend?”
“Boyfriend, actually,” Jinyoung corrects him before Jaebeom can, a smile on his face. “This is Jaebeom-hyung.”
“Oh, of course!” Doyoung says with a grin. “I should’ve known, Jinyoung-hyung mentions you so often. I’m Doyoung, as you’ve probably gathered.”
“Good to meet you, Doyoung. So you’re in Jaehyun’s band?” Jaebeom asks, changing the subject even though what he really wants to do is bask in the knowledge that Jinyoung talks about him as much as he talks about Jinyoung.
“There are actually three separate groups,” Doyoung says. “Jaehyunnie is part of 127 with me and a few other members. The other boys we performed with are part of Dream and WayV, but we do a lot of joint projects too, so we go by NCT most of the time.”
“It stands for Neo Culture Technology,” Jaehyun explains, probably because of the slight confusion on Jaebeom’s face. “Our whole thing is like, pushing the boundaries of music, mixing and matching our members, exploring new styles, all that kind of 'neo' stuff. So we tried to capture that in the name.”
“Makes sense,” Jinyoung says, and Jaehyun turns to look at him with a mischievous glint in his eyes.
“Jaebeom-hyung, no offense, but how’d you manage to convince someone this smart and good-looking to date you?” Jaehyun asks. It’s clear he’s only messing with Jaebeom, but he and Doyoung both seem interested in how Jaebeom will react.
And yeah, maybe a few years back, Jaebeom might have gotten possessive and felt threatened by Jaehyun’s teasing, harmless as it is. But now, he just smirks. “Why don’t you ask him?”
Before Jaehyun has the chance to say anything, though, Jinyoung speaks up, looking amused. “No, I won’t go on a date with you, Jaehyun, because I guarantee you won’t manage to sway me away from him.”
“Aw, man,” Jaehyun says overdramatically, clearly not upset at all. “Was it something I said?”
“Well, from what I’ve heard, you’re a good producer and all, but you’re no Defsoul,” Jinyoung says matter-of-factly. “And I only date the very best.” He catches Doyoung’s eye knowingly and adds, “In any case, I think there’s someone who wouldn’t be very happy about me saying yes to you anyway.”
Jaehyun mimics being shot in the chest as Doyoung ducks his head and blushes, and Jaebeom uses the momentary distraction to gently squeeze Jinyoung’s waist gratefully. Jinyoung smiles warmly at him in return, his eyes twinkling, and Jaebeom can’t help but kiss his cheek before leaving Jinyoung to continue the conversation with Doyoung while he and Jaehyun walk to the bar together.
“So, he’s really it for you, isn’t he, hyung?” Jaehyun asks after they’ve both ordered their drinks, looking between Jaebeom and Jinyoung significantly.
Jaebeom doesn’t hesitate. “Yeah,” he says, smiling softly as he watches Jinyoung settle down at a table, still talking animatedly to Doyoung. “I just feel so comfortable with him, you know? I never really believed in soulmates before, but after meeting him...I’d say I’m convinced.”
“That sounds amazing,” Jaehyun says appreciatively.
“What, you’re not gonna tell me we’re too young to know for sure?” Jaebeom asks, only half-joking – part of him really is curious, because he’s already heard it multiple times.
Jaehyun shrugs, smiling. “I don’t think age really matters. If you know he’s the one, you know.” He gestures to a table towards the middle of the room, where some of his bandmates are sitting and eating together. “Jeno and Jaeminnie are like that too.” He can only be referring to the pair sitting at the head of the table, one of them watching with a besotted expression on his face as the boy perched on his lap chatters away excitedly.
“Cute,” Jaebeom says, and he means it. The one being used as a chair seems content to just listen to his talkative boyfriend, if the way his eyes have disappeared into crescents as he smiles is any indication. It reminds Jaebeom of how he, too, is always happy to indulge Jinyoung whenever he starts rambling about whatever happens to be on his mind.
“They’re gross, really. Constantly having to witness my baby brother’s excessively public displays with his boyfriend is...a lot,” Jaehyun says, but his tone and expression are full of affection. “Anyway, they’re even younger than me, but it’s already obvious that they’re going to spend their lives together and have a hundred disgustingly cute babies and the whole deal.” He offers Jaebeom a teasing grin. “Just like a mini version of you and Jinyoung-hyung, making the rest of us ordinary people feel forever single.”
“You’ll find someone someday,” Jaebeom says reassuringly. “Assuming you want to, obviously.”
“Yeah, you’re right,” Jaehyun agrees, and the way his eyes flicker over to Doyoung for a moment is incredibly unsubtle. “I’m not too worried, to be honest. I’ve still got plenty of time.” He raises his glass in Jaebeom’s direction. “For now let’s just drink to your happy future with Jinyoung-hyung!”
Jaebeom grins and clinks their glasses together. “Cheers!”
~~~
Jinyoung shakes Jaebeom awake bright and early the next morning. “Come on, Jaebeommie, we should get going soon,” he says earnestly as Jaebeom groggily rubs at his eyes. “I want to try to reach the lake house before sunset so we can take pictures.”
“Okay,” Jaebeom mumbles, trying to pull himself out of bed for Jinyoung’s sake. “Give me a minute.”
“I’ll go order us breakfast while you get ready,” Jinyoung says, kissing Jaebeom’s cheek affectionately. “Don’t take too long freshening up!”
By the time Jaebeom has washed the sleep out of his eyes, brushed his teeth, and dressed up presentably, Jinyoung has returned with a tray of breakfast dishes. For a moment, Jaebeom lets himself bask in the idea of getting to have this every day – waking up to Jinyoung’s smile and the sound of Jinyoung’s voice, eating breakfast together, receiving a kiss before he heads off to work. Then he shakes the domestic fantasy away, reminding himself that he has plenty of time to make it a reality.
It takes them less than half an hour to finish their breakfast, and then Jinyoung is ushering Jaebeom out the door, eager for their road trip to start.
“You want to listen to music?” Jaebeom asks once they’re settled in the truck. Usually, as the driver, he would pick the music, but today he’s feeling particularly indulgent.
“Not right now,” Jinyoung says after a moment of consideration. “Let’s just take in the scenery, it’s supposed to be really pretty!”
And he’s right. Jaebeom has to focus on driving, of course, but the view in front of them – all around them, really – is incredible. Everything around them is a vibrant green, the grass in the fields they pass, the leaves on the trees that line the road. Jinyoung chatters away delightedly, pointing out little houses and animals he spots.
After they’ve been driving for a couple of hours, Jinyoung suddenly lets out a gasp. “Hyung, pull over!”
Jaebeom immediately does as he’s told, worried that something might be wrong. “What happened?”
Jinyoung laughs a little. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to freak you out. Nothing happened, it’s just that this field is so gorgeous.” He gestures at the vivid greenery. “Let’s walk around and take some pictures!”
It isn’t like they’re in any rush, and the view truly is amazing, so Jaebeom parks the car and follows Jinyoung out into the field, their cameras clutched in their hands. He loses track of how long they stay out there, running after each other and giggling together as they immortalize the afternoon in countless pictures.
The sky is just beginning to darken when they finally decide to return to the car. Before they make it back, Jinyoung grabs Jaebeom’s wrist, stopping him from walking any further. “Jaebeommie,” he says softly, and when Jaebeom turns to look at him, his smile makes the beauty of the scenery around them pale in comparison. “Thank you for bringing me here. Really.”
Jaebeom huffs out a laugh and shakes his head fondly, cupping Jinyoung’s face with his free hand. “There’s no need to thank me, Nyoungie. Seeing you happy is my favorite thing in the world, you know that.”
Jinyoung’s smile only grows bigger as he leans in to kiss Jaebeom sweetly. “You’re such a giant sap.”
“Only for you,” Jaebeom says with a dopey grin, stealing another kiss. “Love you.”
“I love you too, you cheeseball,” Jinyoung says, sliding his hand down from Jaebeom’s wrist to intertwine their fingers instead. “Come on, let’s head to the lake house.”
“We’re making good time, even with this stop,” Jaebeom says, opening the passenger door for Jinyoung. “I think we should still get there before sunset at the rate we’re going.”
“In that case, can I drive for a bit?” Jinyoung asks hopefully. “I’ve been thinking about it since yesterday. I kind of want to try it.”
Jaebeom raises an eyebrow. “Are you sure? You said you were still a little nervous after getting your permit.”
Jinyoung nods, his eyes shining. “I’ll be careful! Anyway, how can I be nervous when I have you with me?”
And really, how can Jaebeom do anything but agree in the face of that kind of reasoning?
“Make sure you check the side mirrors and the rear-view mirror before you start moving,” Jaebeom reminds Jinyoung once they’re settled in the car with Jinyoung in front of the wheel. “And remember you have to press the clutch before switching gears.”
Jinyoung nods. “I will.”
Unsurprisingly, it turns out that Jinyoung’s anxiety over driving was mostly unfounded, because he’s an incredibly careful and meticulous driver. Once Jinyoung gets comfortable, Jaebeom allows himself to sit back and observe, feeling his gaze soften as he watches the little changes in Jinyoung’s expression every time he has to shift gears or change lanes.
“Why are you staring at me like that?” Jinyoung asks after a while. “I don’t need to be looking at you to feel your eyes on me, you know.”
“I know,” Jaebeom says, unfazed at being caught. He’s only partially teasing when he adds, “It’s just hard to look away when you’re so beautiful.”
“Oh my god,” Jinyoung sighs. “You’re so embarrassing, hyung, seriously.” But the pink flush that’s suddenly decorating his cheeks tells the real story, and Jaebeom just smiles to himself, feeling even more enamored than he normally does. Soon, he reminds himself giddily. Soon, he’ll know beyond all doubt that I never want to look away from him again.
~~~
The house Jaebeom rented is small but quaint – a cozy little wooden cottage with not much more than a kitchen, a living room, a bathroom, and a lofted bed – and it sits on the shore of a private lake. “Wow,” he says as he looks around. The pictures online didn’t do the place justice, he thinks. It’s perfect, in his eyes, and it seems like Jinyoung agrees.
“You really outdid yourself,” Jinyoung says, his eyes alight with awe. “This is – it’s amazing.”
“I’m glad you like it,” Jaebeom says, wrapping his arms around Jinyoung from behind and kissing his temple. He wonders if Jinyoung can feel how fast his heart is beating thanks to his relief at Jinyoung’s approval of the location, given what he has planned for later. “How about we take some pictures before I get dinner started?”
Jinyoung turns in his arms to press a lingering kiss to his lips. “Sounds perfect.”
The evening fades into night quickly, and before Jaebeom knows it, their cameras are full of pictures of the sunset and their stomachs are full of Jinyoung’s favorite meal. In silent mutual agreement, they settle down on the couches after the dishes are washed, each with a book in hand. Jinyoung begins reading right away, and Jaebeom tries to do the same.
He manages to hold himself back for a grand total of five minutes before he can’t take it anymore. “Hey, Jinyoungie,” he finally says, lifting his head and turning to look at Jinyoung. “Can we switch?”
“Our books?” Jinyoung asks, clearly puzzled. “But I’m not done yet. And you’re still in the middle of yours.”
“I know,” Jaebeom says, smiling a little. “I just wanted a quick break from mine.”
“Okay,” Jinyoung says with a shrug. He neatly folds the corner of the page in his book and hands it over, and Jaebeom accepts it readily while offering Jinyoung his own.
For a few moments, there’s silence as Jaebeom pretends to flip through Jinyoung’s book while actually waiting for Jinyoung to react to what lies hidden within the pages of the book Jaebeom just gave him.
Sure enough, Jinyoung speaks up again seconds later. “Hyung, I think you left –” He breaks off abruptly, which is how Jaebeom knows he’s realized exactly what’s inside. Jaebeom tries his hardest to keep a straight face, his eyes skimming over the page he’s on without reading a single word. “Hyung,” Jinyoung repeats, his tone more urgent this time. “What is this?”
“What does it look like?” Jaebeom finally asks, putting the book down and sitting up to face Jinyoung directly.
Jinyoung is sitting up too, staring at Jaebeom with wide eyes. “It looks like a ring, Jaebeom,” he says, and the lack of honorifics paired with the way his voice wavers tells Jaebeom that it’s time to start talking.
“Yeah, it is a ring,” Jaebeom says, suddenly starting to panic a little. “It’s – well – I wanted to ask – I know we’re really young, and maybe we’re not exactly ready to be making huge plans for the future, and things are probably going to change as time goes on, and –” Jaebeom stops mid-sentence, already catastrophizing in his head. “You know what, never mind, maybe this was a bad idea.”
“Jaebeommie,” Jinyoung says, and his voice is soft, timid – but steady. “Let’s not repeat high school all over again. Ask me what you wanted to ask.”
Jinyoung is right, of course, so Jaebeom takes a deep breath and tries again. “Park Jinyoung. I love you.” And even though Jinyoung surely knows where Jaebeom is going with this now, surely must have known as soon as he opened the book to find the ring inside, Jaebeom is still deliberate in his movements as he kneels down in front of him.
“I love you too,” Jinyoung replies automatically, and Jaebeom can’t even be upset at the interruption because he can hear the slight tremble in Jinyoung’s voice.
Jaebeom carefully takes Jinyoung’s hands in his own and continues. “Every time I look at you, I’m reminded how lucky I am to have you in my life. Every day I spend with you makes me even more sure that I want to spend the rest of them with you too. And I know we’re still young, so it’s maybe a little crazy of me to be asking this now, but I’m not doing it so that we can rush into it and have it done with. I’m asking because I already know I’ve never been more sure of anything than I am of you, Jinyoung. You’re the love of my life, and this is my promise to you that you always will be. So – will you marry me?”
“Jaebeom-hyung,” Jinyoung whispers. “Hyung.” His eyes are shining as he gazes at Jaebeom’s face intently, like he’s looking for a trace of insincerity. But he’s not going to find one, because Jaebeom would never joke, not about this. It’s easy to spot the exact moment Jinyoung realizes that, because he breaks into a radiant smile, a few tears leaking out of the corners of his eyes. “Yes. Of course yes.”
Jaebeom feels his heart swell with joy as he slides the ring onto Jinyoung’s finger. “Come here,” he says breathlessly as he stands up, and Jinyoung is already off the couch, moving towards him and fitting himself neatly in Jaebeom’s arms. “I love you,” Jaebeom says, kissing Jinyoung’s forehead reverently.
“I know,” Jinyoung says, kissing Jaebeom’s jaw in response. “Your proposal gave it away.”
“Brat,” Jaebeom says playfully, even as he pulls Jinyoung closer and moves them both onto the couch so Jinyoung can sit comfortably on Jaebeom’s lap.
“I said yes, didn’t I?” Jinyoung murmurs into Jaebeom’s neck, pressing little kisses there, and Jaebeom tightens his embrace as Jinyoung relaxes against his chest. “That gives away the fact that I love you too.”
Jaebeom laughs softly, cupping Jinyoung’s cheek so he can kiss Jinyoung gently. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you.”
“Even if you didn’t propose, you’d have to do that anyway,” Jinyoung says, looking up at Jaebeom earnestly. “You’re stuck with me forever.”
“Oh no,” Jaebeom says, and he just knows how goofy the smile on his face is, but he also doesn’t care. “I wonder how I’ll survive being stuck with the love of my life forever.”
Jinyoung kisses Jaebeom yet again and smiles radiantly. “I guess you’ll just have to suffer and find out.”
“Okay,” Jaebeom agrees, feeling lighter and more content than he ever has before. “I think I can do that.”
