Deep in the meadow, under the willow
A bed of grass, a soft green pillow
The voice of Jeniffer Lawrence waking him up from his slumber. The sunlight already shines and some passed his curtain window. Pulling out his arm from under the pile of blankets and pillows he called his nest, Yuuji grab his phone from the bed side table. He thought it must be the sound of his alarm, but when he wanted to turn it off turn out it isn’t. It is an incoming call for his cousin, Noritoshi-aniki. With confusion, Yuuji answer the call.
“Hey, Aniki–”
“Yuuji-kun! Where are you?!” the sharp voice from the other side of line cut him before he even finished his greeting with a sharp yell.
“Home?” confuse Yuuji.
“What?! You still home! The opening ceremony is about to start!”
At that Yuuji immediately jumping out from his nest to get ready for his first day at school. Why no one waking him up is a wonder for him. He has three big brothers and two of them usually work for morning shift. One of them at least could wake him up. It was lucky for Yuuji to get a call from Noritoshi-aniki, if not he would still asleep and end up skipping school.
He quickly gets inside the bathroom to do some morning routine first. Brushing his teeth and washing his face. Not forget to take his heat suppressant because it was close to his heat schedule and putting the scent patches on his scent glands. He then starts to changes his pajamas into his school uniform. Replacing the dress shirt with his red hoodie and abandoning the uniform tie completely, he then takes his bag before running out of his room.
His teacher from middle school always told him in secondary gender and dynamic class that Omega like to groom themselves. Putting some accessories. Styling their hair. Taking care of their hands and nails. Wearing cute clothes. Even so, Yuuji never feels like doing something like that. He isn’t fond on accessories for how it would be easy broken or missing if he went into a fight. His hair only get an under cut and never brushed at all. Taking care of his nails and hands also seems like a waste for how often it gets used to fight someone. And for clothes, Yuuji usually choose something comfortable to wear instead of cute like hoodie with how warm and comfortable it’s. Every time he wears it, he feels like someone is there constantly to cuddle him, especially if there was any scent of his family and pack. It makes Yuuji feels comfortable and safe with the feeling as if his family and pack is there with him.
The only grooming Yuuji ever did is towards his family instead of himself. He likes to help tied Choso-nii hair into pigtails. Helping dye Kechizu-nii’s hair to his usual turquoise. Putting Eso-nii mascara a few times when he is preparing to go to work. Sometimes he even helps cut his cousin’s hair if he visited him when he still lives in Sendai. Every time he grooms his family, Yuuji feels so happy especially if it earned him praise and approval from his family.
Talking about family, he was almost get to Genkan when someone grab onto his hoodie.
“Don’t forget to eat your breakfast first before going to school” Eso-nii remind him while handing a plate of bacon and eggs.
“Why any of you didn’t wake me up?!” asked Yuuji as he snatched the plate and trying to finish the content as fast as he can. Knowing fully, his big brother won’t let him go if he didn’t finish his breakfast.
“You said you wanted to get to school late and you never tell us how late you want it to be” answered Eso-nii without guilt.
Swallowing the last bite of his food, he gives Eso-nii the plate while give his brother a whine. “Doesn’t mean I want to skip school”
Eso-nii just chuckle and messing with his hair before giving his bento. “Here, Nii-san made this for your lunch before he went to work”
Putting his bento inside his bag, he then wearing his red sport shoes instead of the mandatory dress shoes before getting out of the house.
“I’m leaving”
He can hear Eso-nii faint reply as Yuuji running towards where the bus stop is. The distance between his house and the school isn’t that far. Only 5 minutes bus ride, but he still needs to be quick or he will miss the bus.
There is a reason why Yuuji planned to be late for school in his first day. He wanted to spite the Kamo clan by get labelled as a not mate material who doesn’t have any discipline by getting late. Not to mention he isn’t very enthusiastic at the prospect of his high school. The Kamo clan literally forced him to enter the school and made him get separated by his pack back in Sendai, so they can try to made him finding a mate at the school to increasing their wealth. The school is a very prestigious school with genius and rich people flocking there. Your typical elitist school with money, academic, and status is the most important thing there.
Jujutsu High definitely wasn’t the type of school fit for Yuuji, but doesn’t mean he wanted to skip school entirely. He needs to take his syllabus and get some explanation what actually Jujutsu High is because from what Noritoshi-aniki said it was very different than any normal high school. If he skips school today, there is a chance he will miss some important information.
Once he got to the bus stop near Jujutsu high, he immediately run as fast as he can. Around this time the gate have already closed, so the only way Yuuji can enter the school is to climb up the wall. The school has a brick wall that at least 4 meters tall, but Yuuji once climbing 10 meters building to sneak inside his class using a window back at middle school. With ease, he climbs the brick wall in no time and when he got on the top, he wasted no time to jump over without looking down where he will land.
It was a big mistake because where the school ground seems quite without anyone around, apparently there is someone who is walking beside the wall at that time. The inevitable crash happens, but Yuuji is running out time right now.
“Sorry, I’m so sorry” apologize Yuuji quickly before start to continued running without looking at the person he landed on.
Yuuji can hear a yell from behind him, but he ignores it and keep running to where the gymnasium supposed to be. He will just go and apologize to that person properly later. What Yuuji didn’t know is how the person he fell on is began to chasing him right now. Quietly, but fast he opened the door and try to get to where his class line is. 1-5 is his class so it was easy to find it because the line where his class placed was on the edge of the school lines.
He just barely gets in his class line when he heard a noise from behind him. Glancing behind him, there was the person he crashed on is being dragged away by one of the teachers to where Yuuji supposed is his class line. Yuuji doesn’t think about it much and quickly focused to the stage where his cousin now giving his speech as the head of student council.
It took another 3 persons giving speech before the opening ceremony finished and they’re being told to get back to their respective classroom. Before Yuuji can go to where his classroom is, a familiar voice calls him.
“Yuuji-kun” it sounds cold, the tone usually his cousin used to tell him he is in trouble.
“Yes, Noritoshi-aniki” responded Yuuji, turning around to face his cousin while trying to look innocent.
“What happen?” asked Noritoshi-aniki to the point.
“I really planned to get to school late and now here I’m. Not skipping school at all” reasoned Yuuji quickly trying to show he done nothing wrong.
“Not about that, but what happen that made you getting chased back then?” explained his cousin.
“Oh. Well, I was kind of fell on top of that guy when I jumped over the school wall” answered Yuuji feeling a little guilty because he didn’t apologize properly back then.
There is a resigned sigh came out from his cousin. The one that indicate Yuuji is fucking up something.
“Listen, Yuuji-kun. The one you fell on is someone named Ryomen Sukuna. He is a third-year student. A top one at that. He is a prime alpha and hold the highest status in this school because his family is one of the school founding. Because of that he always gets away with whatever he did and even can bend some of the school’s rule. Better to avoid him if he decide to target you because of what you did to him” informed Noritoshi-aniki with a worried tone.
“Huh? Why? Isn’t it easy for me to fight him to get the target off of me?” confuse Yuuji because it was what he always does.
Back in Sendai, people like to underestimate him because he was an omega and alpha likes to stalk him because he is a prime omega. The only thing that works to made them stop underestimate and stalk him is when he beats them. There never any complain came from his cousin about his method to deal with thing like this. So why now he told him to avoid this Ryomen Sukuna?
“Yuuji-kun, Ryomen Sukuna is the only heir of Ryomen clan and he will definitely inherit all the Ryomen clan wealth and business while also becoming the clan head as soon as he graduated. If you been seeing around him too much, I’m afraid my father will think it will be a great idea to make him your mate” explained Noritoshi-aniki.
Yuuji huffed in dislike at that, but what Noritoshi-aniki said is true and Yuuji needs to admit it.
“You need to get to your class now. Do you know where it is?” asked his cousin softly.
Sheepishly, Yuuji shook his head for an answer.
“Let me help take you there then” and with the help of Noritoshi-aniki, he finally got to where his class is.
He can feel all his classmates is staring at him when he entered his class, but he tried to ignore it and walking to his designated seat. As soon as he takes his seat, a girl with ginger bob haircut who sit beside him suddenly speak up.
“How do you get inside the school?”
Yuuji was a little taken back by the sudden question, but he still answering the girl question.
“I climbed the wall”
The girl orange eyes widened in surprise at his answer.
“No way, that wall almost 3 times my heigh!” disbelieve the girl.
Well, Yuuji didn’t care if the girl believes him or not, but the girl was persistent about her statement.
“How could you even do that? Are you live in a cliff?”
“Of course, no. I live in Sendai before coming here” reply Yuuji feeling what the girl say is weird.
“So, you’re also a newcomer, huh” commented the girl.
“Also? Are you not from here?” confuse Yuuji.
“Yeah, and it was great to left that crazy place” respond the girl.
It was silent between them for a few minutes before Yuuji decide to speak to the girl again.
“Do you know what are we doing right now?” asked Yuuji.
The girl glancing at Yuuji before turning around at the boy with spiky hair who sit beside her.
“Hey you, what are we doing right now?”
The boy glancing at her with his green eyes before sighing and began to turn around to face the two of them before start explaining.
“Jujutsu High is a school who function as a social place for the students to make connection. Especially them who came from big family or clan. The school will give half an hour after opening ceremony or entrance ceremony to let their students get acquainted with each other”
“And after that?” asked the girl.
“Our homeroom teacher will come with the syllabus and we will be doing some introduction” answer the boy.
Both Yuuji and the girl nodding in understand.
“If that so then, are you from big family or clan?” asked the girl suddenly.
“No, I’m like the last member of my family line” it was Yuuji answer because no way he will tell her he is related to Kamo clan. He is prouder to say he was the last Itadori than tell anyone that.
After hearing his answered the girl turned around to glare at the spiky haired boy. The boy looks irritated, but he still shook his head as an answer.
“You two then should be honored to have me in your class” stated the girl suddenly.
Yuuji won’t comment at that even if it kind of made him annoyed. It was once again silent between them. He doesn’t know how long the time already passed when their homeroom teacher finally came. The teacher is a man with brown dark hair that in Yuuji opinion looks like a mushroom. The entire class suddenly goes silent and put their attention towards the teacher.
“Good morning approaching noon everyone. My name is Haibara Yu and I will be your homeroom teacher this year. Little information about myself. My hobby is eating. I like rice and people. I hope we can be a good friend and work together until all of you graduated” the teacher is cheerful and funny in Yuuji opinion. He even writes his name on the whiteboard, so they can know the Kanji of his name.
“Now, is any of you have a question you wanted to ask about me?”
There are a few hands shot up. Haibara-sensei pointed at one of the hands and gesture to them to speak.
“What clan or family do you came from?”
Haibara-sensei chuckle at that before answering. “I came from Haibara family of course”
There is a frown on the student who asked the question and Yuuji just confused by it because of course Haibara-sensei came from Haibara family. It was his family name after all.
Haibara-sensei pointed at another raising hand.
“How old are you?”
“A personal question, huh? But I don’t mind answer it, I’m actually still 27 years old” answered Haibara-sensei.
“Next question” announced him as he pointed at the next student with hand raised.
“What’s your favorite color?”
“I think grey and blue, but I’m fine with light yellow too” mused Haibara-sensei out loud.
“And last question?” said Haibara-sensei as he pointed at the last student.
“What subject do you teach?”
Haibara-sensei grab a marker and began writing his answer on the whiteboard while speaking “I teach social study and geography”
After finished writing, Haibara-sensei turned around to face the class.
“Now each one of you come to the front and introduce yourself. Tell the class your name and at least one fun fact about you to the class. After you finished, you can take your syllabus before going back to your seat. Let’s start from the first seat” and with that the introduction began.
Yuuji’s turn is after 4 students introducing themselves. He walks to the front of the class and began to introduce himself.
“My name's Itadori Yuuji. I lived in Sendai before come here and fun fact about me is I like Jeniffer Lawrence”
“Why do you like Jeniffer Lawrence, Yuuji?” asked Haibara-sensei.
“Because she is tall and have a big ass” answer Yuuji without any shame.
That earned a laugh from Haibara-sensei. “You remind me of your upper classman”
He then gets handed his syllabus and going back to his seat. A few students later and it was the turn for the girl who sit beside him to introduce herself.
“I’m Kugisaki Nobara all of you should feel honored to have me as your classmate. Fun fact about me is I dyed my hair”
Yuuji start to thinking maybe the girl is an alpha for the way she acted.
Another few students’ introduction later and it was the turn for the spiky hair boy to introducing himself.
“Fushiguro Megumi. Fun fact: I have 2 pet dogs”
It was the shortest introduction so far, but Yuuji won’t complain.
After all his classmate introducing themselves Haibara-sensei began to give some explanation.
“Jujutsu High is different from other high school. The most prominent thing is our school type of academic system. All of you obligated to learn the mandatory subjects given by the minister, but here you need at least 1 extra subject per year. Inside your syllabus already has a paper form for your extra subject and the list and schedule of it. You need to fill it with maximal 10 subjects, even so only 3 subjects the maximum extra subject you get to choose. It will be picked from the highest of your list and if the quota already full, the one will be picked next is the one on the lower of your list. The death line is 3 days from now to hand the form to the administration staff, but you can hand it before 3 days as not to running out of quota”
Well, Yuuji will ask some advice from his cousin about what kind of subject he should take. Maybe there will be some suggestion that will help him not regret the extra subject he take later.
“Now with that clear next is about club. All of you is obligated to join at least one club and you’re allowed to join more than one club. In three days, there will be performance from some of Jujutsu High’s club and the next day is club exhibition day. You all will be allowed to go around and visit the club rooms. If you interested with the club and want to join the club, you need to ask for the paper form from the club member there and fill it before hand it to the administration staff”
Yuuji wondered if here they also have an Occult club like one in his middle school. It makes Yuuji remember of his pack back in Sendai.
“Oh also, for this week we won’t start study yet. In all of your syllabus also has the schedule for what we will do this week. Tomorrow we will be having a health checkup and there also will be psychology checkup. You will also get some explanation about our school student council. There are also a few forms you and your guardian need to fill up. The death line is the end of week and you need to hand it to me. With that finished, is there anyone who has a question about the syllabus or about my explanation before we start to choose class representative and vice representative”
It took a few hours before everything finished. It was lunch time, but because it was the first day, the school ended early.
“Hey, Fushiguro. You’re from Tokyo, right? Where is the best shopping place here?” asked Kugisaki so suddenly.
“No. I’m not from Tokyo. My home is in Saitama” answered Fushiguro before leaving.
“You can try to go to Shinjuku, Kugisaki. It was the biggest shopping district in Tokyo. I went there once to bought some stuff from school” suggested Yuuji.
“Thank you” reply Kugisaki before leaving.
Not long after that, Yuuji also walking out of the class and out of the school building. He was just a few steps from the school gate when someone call him.
“Yuuji-kun”
Looking where the voice came from, Yuuji found out it was Noritoshi-aniki who call him from inside his car.
“Do you need a ride home?” asked his cousin.
“Thank you, but no” answer Yuuji as polite as he can.
“Okay then” reply his cousin before informed his driver to start moving.
Yuuji watched his cousin’s car getting far before it vanished on the next turn. He then continued walking towards the bus stop. He almost arrived there when his nose gets a swift scent of distressed Omegas. Quickly, Yuuji turned around and start running towards where the scent came from. Entering an alley, his eyes narrowed at the view in front of him. Two omega girls wearing Jujutsu High uniform is cornered by a pack of alpha thugs.
One of the thugs seemed to notice his presence and announced it.
“Look who is come? Another rich snot nosed brat who will give his money to us”
Snicker can be heard came from the other thugs while the omega girls is whimpering in fear. Anger surging inside Yuuji and his Omega is growling at Yuuji to makes those alphas pay for what they did. Yuuji quickly run towards one of them and bashed the alpha skull to the wall. Instantly making the alpha unconscious. One down.
Releasing his grip, he dodges an attack from one of the other thugs before delivering a round house kick. Turned around, Yuuji punched the alpha who was going to hit him, right in the stomach. Two down. Some blood getting out from the alpha's mouth, but Yuuji paid no mind and delivering a round house kick to another alpha on his left side. A fist came to punch his face, but he caught it and grab the owner wrist before processed to throw the alpha at the other thugs.
2 alphas come to attack him at the same time from different side. Yuuji get down to avoid getting hit and give a sweep kick to their feet. Another alpha jump at him, but Yuuji easily dodge it and landing an axe kick on the back of the alpha before processing to punching the alphas he gave sweep kick who slowly getting up. Three down. Four down. Five down. Two pair arms came up and grab each of his hands while an alpha came to punch him, but Yuuji doing a front kick at the alpha first before the thug manages to hit him. Six down.
Yuuji then processed to throw on of the thugs that grabbing his hand away and use his newly free hand to punch the thug who came to him. Seven down. There is a sound of cracking somewhere and Yuuji look at his hand that now have blood on it from the previous attacker bleeding nose before he slammed down the other thug who still holding his other hand to the ground hard enough for making the thug got unconscious. Eight down. Even so, the thug is still grabbing on his hand somehow. He ignores the bizarre thing and walks towards the last alpha who he threw somewhere.
Walking out of the alley, Yuuji found out where is the alpha thug’s landing at. Precisely on top of someone car hood. His eyes widened in panic seeing the crowd and the panicked white hair person who likely is the owner of the car. Shit, he doesn’t have any money for car repair. Even if his brothers have money for it, Yuuji doubt it won’t stop him from getting send to juvenile for beating up some thugs.
Ripping the unconscious thug that still clinging on his hand and run away as faster as he can from there to where the bus stop is. Gladly when he got there, the bus has just arrived. Getting inside the bus, Yuuji let out a sigh of relieves. Little did Yuuji know the omega girls he saves is daughters of the teacher in Jujutsu High who can’t come to school because he is sick that day. Little did Yuuji know, the teacher will turn a blind eye for what Yuuji did because he saved the teacher’s daughters. Little did Yuuji know, the teacher will invite him and his family to have a dinner together. Little did Yuuji know, he will come to befriend the said teacher and the said teacher’s boyfriend. Little did Yuuji know, the omega girls he saves will starting to have a crush on Yuuji since that day.
On the way back home, Yuuji tried to clean up any evident he just got into fight the first day of school. If his brothers saw it, no doubt they will immediately asking Noritoshi-aniki if something happened at school. For the scents on him now, he will just excuse himself with there is a commotion on the way home to the bus stop.
Stumbling inside his house while saying “I’m home”, Yuuji expected to see Eso-nii greet him. Yeah, Eso-nii is there, but also Kechizu-nii and Choso-nii who supposed still at work.
“Welcome home” greeted all three of them.
“Choso-nii. Kechizu-nii. Aren’t you two supposed still at work?” asked Yuuji.
“Anija asked for permission to end his shift early because he wanted to greet you when you home. While me, there is a sudden problem on the electric system at my work place, so I got to go home early today” informed Kechizu-nii.
Yuuji gaze turned to stare at Choso-nii.
“But aren’t this too early? Your shift supposed to end at 5”
“Nothing is too early if it was for my little brother. After all, my decision proved right because I got to greet you now” respond Choso-nii without any remorse.
“Thank you, Choso-nii. And also, sorry. The bento you made for me. I didn’t eat it because the school ended early today” said Yuuji with a guilt when he thinking about how he forgot to eat the bento his oldest brother made. His omega also whining in shame for that.
“It’s fine, Yuuji. You could eat it while we have lunch together” assured Choso-nii before adding another sentence in his speech.
“And you also need to tell him about how your first day at school is when we eating”
A smile makes its way to Yuuji's face as he reminiscing his first day of school in Jujutsu High. It was surprisingly better than Yuuji expected.
