    While headed to the location of his next mission, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku, encounters his fellow Pillar, Breathless Hashira Akaza Soyama. Discovering that Akaza had been assigned to the same mission, Kyojuro is thrilled to work alongside the man, up until he discovers how unpleasant Akaza truly is at night and during his missions. After ignoring Akaza’s attempts to push him away, Kyojuro learns that Akaza has a rather terrible secret and isn’t quite as human as everyone believes.
