“Ash and I are going?” Goh asked.
He couldn’t believe what Drake just said.
Instead of him going to find Kingdra alone, he thought that it would be a good idea to have Ash also join him.
But Ash is not training to become a Project Mew chaser.
Well to be fair, it does make kinda sense since ash has helped him with the previous trials like the Alolan Ninetails one and the Shiny Volcarona one.
So hopefully this won’t be big of a problem for the two of them.
“That’s right Goh.” Drake replied.
“Are you sure?” Goh asked.
“But you’ve been looking for the treasure all along.” Ash also said.
“You’ve both been searching for big adventures, like me. Now, go and catch yourselves a wild Kingdra.” Drake replied.
“Yes, sir!” Ash and Goh said.
“But before you two can do just that. I have something to show you.” Drake said as he stops the two from jumping into the water.
“What is it Drake?” Ash asked.
“You see, the ocean is a dangerous and deep place underwater. It’s so deep that you can’t make it out of there alive in just 2 minutes. So to make sure that you two are safe, I’m giving you two these scuba suits.” Drake replied as he tosses 2 suits to both Goh and Ash.
“Well, because you said that the ocean is dangerous, guess like we have no choice but to put them on.” Goh said.
And so they both put on their suit and scuba gears with both Grookey and Pikachu seeing the whole thing.
“So Goh. Remember what we were told last night?” Ash asked.
“Yeah. If that ancient culture used Kingdra as a kind of symbol, maybe there will be some clues inside the submersible.” Goh replied.
“You’re right! First, we check the inside!” Ash said with pure delight.
“Okay, Let’s go!” Goh said cheerfully.
And so the 2 boys runs past Drake while he’s holding 2 itmes.
“Wait! I think you guys need these!” Drake yelled at them.
But they didn’t hear him as they leap into the ocean with the air hoses on them.
“Well, at least with the air hoses, I’m sure they will be fine.” Drayden said to both Ash’s Pikachu and Goh’s Grookey.
But what doesn’t he know is that things will soon go wrong.

Once they were underwater, Goh and Ash saw how beautiful the ocean actually is while in a Scuba Suit.
There were a bunch of pokemons swimming in it as they even swim through a school of luvdiscs.
Until eventually they make it to the gorge where the submersible is.
“Is that…” Ash said.
“It’s the ancient submersible!” Goh said in surprise.
“Guess like it’s time for us to swim there.” Ash said to Goh.
“Right.” Goh said while nodding his head.
And so the 2 boys swims towards the submersible.
But then they get caught up in a current.
They didn’t expected to be struck by a current this strong.
So their only choice was to hit the rocks and hold onto them while moving towards the submersible. And it works as they were able to make it across safe and sound.
“You alright Goh?” Ash asked.
“Yeah. Thank goodness our helmets didn’t cracked. Otherwise we would’v been killed.” Goh replied.
And so after they get back up to their feet’s, they see the ancient submersible and goes inside of it.
Hopefully to find out if Kingdra is indeed inside of it or not.

Never knew there were a lot of pokemons living in this place.
Like another school of luvdiscs, a huntail, a gorebyss and a Seadra.
Goh and Ash were understandably to busy at looking at the Seadra, because they know that it can evolve into a Kingdra.
“It’s a Seadra!” Goh yelled which causes the Seadra to get scared and swim away fast.
So while ash is distracted with a Gorebyss, Goh decides to chase after the runaway Seadra.
He tries to find it but the whole place was like a maze. And the worst part is that after losing track of where the Seadra is, Goh had no idea on where io find Ash.
So he tries going through the maze again and it was a bit hard due to how much time he has left with the air hose and the fact that he keeps running into dead ends.
But then he comes across a room with a treasure chest in them. And much to his surprise ash is there too.
“Ash? What are you doing in there?” Goh asked.
“Oh sorry. I noticed that you were gone, so I tried to look for you. But then I noticed this room with a treasure chest.” Ash replied.
“You know. I wonder what kind of treasure is inside of it.” Goh said.
And so they open the treasure chest to see what they can find.
But instead of finding golds, pearls and diamonds, they find something that really shocks them.
It was a Kingdra. The pokemon they were looking for.
As it leaps out of the treasure chest giving the 2 boys a fright.
But much to their surprise it doesn’t leave the room.
Instead it just gives them a serious look.
“Looks like it wants to battle us.” Goh said.
“Yeah. So how about it Kingdra. How about we give you a pokemon battle?” Ash asked.
Much to their surprise however it doesn’t want to fight them.
Instead it wants to be inside one of the boy’s pokeball.
As it turns out, the water type pokemon had a bit of a fascination for a pokeball.
“You mean. You really want to go inside this pokeball and become my pokemon?” Goh asked Kingdra.
To which it nods it’s head.
So with no choice. Goh throws the pokeball at the Kingdra which doesn’t work because they are underwater.
But surprisedly, it taps the pokeball and gets sent into it.
And so once it’s caught, Goh picks it up and smiles at it.
“Yes! I caught a Kingdra!” Goh said cheerfully.
“That means you have officially completed the second trial.” Ash said to Goh.
“Yeah. Now come on let’s get out of here.” Goh said.
And so the 2 boys navigate their way back to the exit and hopefully resurface to where Drake is waiting for them before something bad happens to them.

“Seadra!!!”
Suddenly a Seadra appears and knocks into the 2 boys.
And the force from the knock out was so powerful that it sends Goh into a wall of the submersible.
And that wasn’t even the worst part. As it also causes his helmet to fully crack and him to be forced to hold his breathe for how long he can normally hold his breathe.
“Goh! Are you ok? Talk to me?” Ash asked as he swims towards his friend.
But he sees that due to his helmet being cracked, he’s going to drown.
And the worse part of it all was that goh has a bunch of cuts in his cheeks and their starting to bleed.
This is especially bad since the 2 boys have forgotten to see that there is a Sharpedo who lives here.
The smell of blood defiantly hits the spot for the Sharpedo. As one sniff of it causes the Water Type Pokemon to go into a ready.
“Run! I mean swim!” Goh yelled.
So he grabs Goh and swims as fast as he can away from the Sharpedo as it’s trying to chase after them.
Boy was this thing really fast as it’s even more faster then a JetSki. {which makes sense due to the Isle Of Armour DLC in Pokemon Sword and Shield.}
Once they lose track of it, Ash suddenly sees the exit which makes him really happy and relieved to see.
But before he can swim to it, he suddenly hears his friend struggling to breathe.
And soon enough he starts to cough up a bunch of air starts to inhale water.
Seeing this really freaked Ash out.
Like the exit is right there, but he doesn’t know if Goh will still be alive by the time they reached the surface as the ocean is so deep.
And after some panicking later, it seems like Ash has one option.
“Don’t get mad at me for doing this Goh.” Ash said.
So he takes off his helmet, places his lips on Goh and starts to breathe into him.

One moment ago Goh was inhaling water but now he’s inhaling air.
He wonders why exactly?
Then his vision started to to become steady again and sees that Ash is breathing into him.
This shocks him. This feels like a kiss but without the kissing part.
But he’s grateful that Ash was able to use it to save him.
So after he had enough air, Ash pulled his mouth away from Goh and now it was time for them to get the heck out of here.
But then they noticed that the strong current is back and worse of all it’s causing the submersible to plummet into the midnight zone of the ocean.
So they were able to swim out of here before it’s too late but not without some repercussions.
As Ash suddenly gets hit in the head by a rock that was sent falling by the strong current.
And the force was so hard enough for him to go unconscious and black out.
“Ash!!!” Goh screamed.
But taht was his biggest mistake ever.
As by screaming his friend’s name, he just lost almost all of his air.
So now he has the biggest crisis with him drowning and ash being unconscious and is starting to inhale water.
Despite the ocean being really deep, it seems like that Goh has no choice but to grab Ash and starts swimming really fast to the surface.
Where Drake, Pikachu and Grookey are waiting for them.
But what he doesn’t know is that the current had one last surprise attack at him, so this causes the 2 boys to get swept up in it.
And Goh to hit a pile of rocks which causes him to lose the rest of his air and to start inhaling water again.
His mind was starting to panic again.
Not only was Ash drowning but he was going to drown alongside his friend too.
Goh tried to cough it out, but it resulted in more water going into his lungs.
This can’t be the end. He’s still 10 years old, he still has a dream of catching Mew and all of pokemons in the entire world.
But it seems like the end is impossible to avoid.
So with one last inhale, Goh sinks back onto the ground.
“I’m sorry Ash.” He thought as he looks at Ash’s still unconscious body.
When their bodies finally dropped onto the ocean floor, Goh didn’t feel himself unknowingly pressing a button on a nearby Pokeball that so happened to drop into his belt.
That was when he blacked out. Before he can see what Pokemon the pokeball had released.

{gasp}
Goh woke up with a huge gasp for air. Then he proceeded to cough out a lot of water he had inhaled.
It was so painful as his lungs were burning because of it.
But then he noticed that something was odd. He and Ash were not underwater anymore and are in fact at the surface.
How could this be? Unless…
So after he starts to breathe normally he sees the Pokemon who had brought them back to the surface.
It was Kingdra. Who had a worried expression on it’s face.
So after Goh puts together what could’ve happened, he smiled at the pokemon.
“Thanks Kingdra for saving us.” Goh said.
Then he turned his focus towards Ash who was still unconscious.
“Ash, wake up. We’re at the surface. Kingdra saved us.” Goh said as he tries to shake his friend’s body.
But for some reason he couldn’t wake up.
This causes him to become really worried for Ash.
“Ash? Ash?” Goh said worriedly.
And then he sees a boat which turns out to be the same boat that Drake and their pokemon are on.
“Goh, are you ok? What happened back there? And is Ash ok?” Drake asked.
“Yeah I’m ok Drake. But ash is not.” Goh replied.
“Then swim back to the boat and we will check if your friend is still alive.” Drake said.
So Goh swims back to the boat where Ash was lifted back onto it by Drake.
“Pika-pi!” Pikachu said as it sees it’s trainer unconscious.
“It’s going to be ok Pikachu. Don’t worry.” Goh says to it.
But when they see Drake place 2 fingers onto Ash’s neck, He looks at Goh with a sad look on his friend.
“I’m sorry Goh, but your friend is dead.” Drake said.
This literally broke the boy’s heart into a thousand pieces.

“No! He can’t be dead!” Goh screamed.
He couldn’t accept it. There was no way, he could ever accept his friend dying.
So he ran towards Ash’s dead body and proceeds to do some CPR on him.
“Come on Ash. Don’t give up. You promised that we would complete our dreams together. You promised that you would help me itch my dreams of seeing Mew. So please wake up.” Goh screamed.
He’s trying so desperately to revive his friend but given how long Ash was out for. It seemed impossible.
Until after 10 minutes of non stop Chest Compressions and Mouth to Mouth, Drake places his hand onto Goh’s shoulder.
“I’m sorry Goh, but there’s just nothing we can do. Your just going to have to face the fact that ash is gone.” Drake said to him.
This was enough for Goh to fully break and starts bursting out into tears.
He’s now never getting to tell Ash how he really feels about him. But it seems like it was too late to do so.
And even with the emotional support of Grookey and Pikachu {which I mean the 2 pokemons clinging onto Goh and hugging him.} there was nothing they could do to cheer him up.
And so after Drake places a white blanket on Ash’s cold and dead body, he sails the ship back to the beach.
While Goh was still traumatised and upset about his friend being dead. So upset in fact that he couldn’t tell Danika and Quillion about what happened.
So before they reached to shore and send Ash to the hospital to have an auto-topsy, Goh says a few words to him.
“Ash if you can hear me. Then I want to say. Thank you for the journeys and helping me with one of my trials.”
“And I love you.”

That was when he hears a cough.
“Ash?” Goh said being confused.
He thought that it was all in his head but it was actually true.
Ash was in fact still alive.
So Goh takes the white blanket of of his friend and watches as Ash violently coughs out all of the water he had in his lung.
Goh couldn’t believe it. His friend was still alive.
“Drake! Ash is still alive!” Goh screamed while crying happily.
“He is? {looks around to see Ash coughing up water and then he gasps} Your right he is!” Drake said as he stops the boat and runs to where the two boys are.
After the coughing fit had ended, Ash was now able to breathe and has his vision return to him.
And then he sees Goh who had a bit of tears in his eyes.
“Goh? Did we make it to the surface on time? And did you passed the trial?” Ash asked in a raspy voice.
“Oh ASh! Come here!” Goh said happily as he grabs his friend and hugs him.
“Pika-pi!” Pikachu said as it also clings onto its partner and starts hugging him too.
“Ash. I’m so glad that your alive. Please don’t scare me like that again.”M goh said to Ash.
“I won’t. And also thanks for saving me. You really are a true friend.” Ash said to his friend and also begins to hug him.

And before they even know it, their at the beach where Drake was able to get an ambulance to come and bring them to the hospital.
So they get out of the boat and the ambulance drivers check the 2 boys to see if they have any damages on themselves.
And while Goh still has the cuts on his cheeks he and Pikachu sees something that they were really scared about.
“Holy moly that is a huge bite mark on your neck.” One of the ambulance drive said.
“Yeah, but it’s nothing really.” Ash said while trying to be positive.
As it turns out while trying to get away from the Sharpedo, it was able to catch up to him and bite a bit of the right side of his neck off.
“Oh Jeez Ash. That sure is a big bite. Are you going to be ok?” Goh asked.
“Yeah. But hey as long as we’re together nothing will get in between us.” Ash replied as he grabs Goh’s hand.
Seeing this causes Goh to blush but it was all worth it to see that Ash is going to be ok.
“Alright Kid. Get off the bed so that we can take your friend o the hospital.” One of the ambulance driver said to Goh.
And so after he does,the 2 drivers takes Ash into the ambulance and drives him off into the city’s hospital.
“Will Ash be ok sir?” Goh asked Drake.
“Yeah, as this city has the best Surgeon in town. So there’s no need to worry about it.” Drake replied.
“Yeah nothing to worry about.” Goh said to himself.
So they just stand in the sands for a few minutes before Drake talks to goh again.
“Say Goh. Do you want me to take you to the nearest Hotel. Then the next day we will go out and see your friend?” Drake asked the 10 year old boy.
“Ok.” Goh said quietly.
And so Goh, Grookey, Pikachu and Drake walk out of the beach and onto the streets. Hopefully to find a nearby Hotel in time.
As Goh hopes that once he and their 2 pokemons visits Ash at the Hospital.
Then they will tell Danika and Quillion on Goh’s Rotom Phone what happened during the second trial.
But he doesn’t know if he would tell them or not.
As who would want to keep their trauma a a secret anyways?
