Meta-Knight watched as Kirby and his wheelie ride drives off after they have destroyed the halberd.
All he wnated to do was star a war with the sleepy country of dreamland. But thanks to a child who defeated in a sword fight, he don’t know if that plan will be in karate d right now.
But luckily all of his crew mates were able to get out of the sinking halberd and are now on the lifeboat, safe and sound.
wait a minute. It appears that one of the lifeboats is missing someone but who?
That’s when he headed a faint cry for help. And when he looked around, he saw something that made him really shocked to see.
it was Sailor Dee, still on the sinking ship and is trying to get out of it before its too late. But every time he tries to go somewhere, he just gets blocked off by an explosion so he had no choice but to go inside the ship.
Wait Sailor! Don’t go in there! You’ll die! The knight thought but it was too late.
Or maybe not as there still might be a chance of saving the waddle Dee and getting him out of here before he dies.
So with determination on his face, Meta-Knight looks at his fellow crew mates and starts talking to them.
“You guys stay here. I’m gonna go save the poor waddle Dee.” he said to the other crew mates.
“But sire, are you crazy? You might die in there too!” Blade knight said worriedly
“Yeah and even if the explosions doesn’t kill you, the ship is still sinking into the ocean. So you might drown in there.” Sword knight also said.
“Well I’m still going to save him even if it costs my life. And its like I always say, I never leave a crewmate behind.” Meta-Knight said.
And so he flies towards the still sinking halberd and gets ontop of it. And once onboard he runs towards the only entrance of the ship and was able to make it through before it gets sealed off.
But before he could move any further suddenly an explosion appears inside the room causing the knight to get hit and be engulfed in flames by it and blacks out.

When he woke up, Meta-Knight noticed that something was off.
The light in the hallways were dark, the room he is in is starting to fill with water and there were damages to himself.
Like his mask have been broken in half and his wings were badly burnt thanks to the explosion.
And worse off all is that when he checked the window, he see that the halberd has indeed sank into the bottom of the ocean.
But that won’t stop him from finding Sailor Dee and getting the heck of here before they both drown.
So still being the careless and arrogant hero that he is, Meta Knight decides to keep moving forward.
Until he comes across a deadened, and the only way to reach Sailor Dee is to swim underwater.
He was a it nervous of doing it because, he doesn’t have a lot of skills in swimming. But his crewmate is still under there so there was no turning back.
“Your a fearless hero. You can do this.” Meta Knight said to himself.
And so he holds his breathe and dives underwater.
He noticed that the entire inside of the halberd has been flooded with water, guess like this was due to Kirby destroying bits of it. But do not focus on that yet as he still needs to find wher Saikor Dee is and see if he is still alive.
The only thing stopping him however is the fact that he has only a certain amount of minutes in holding his breathe.
And once a minute or two had pass, Meta-Knight would start to feel his lungs burning and his chest hurting. There was no way he was going to survive being underwater for too long.
But he realises that since the halberd hasn’t completely flooded yet, maybe there might be some air pockets.
And he was right as he comes across one and proceeds to swim to it and starts breathing in for air.
“{gasps} Ok. I don’t know what happened back there but it doesn’t matter. I need to still find where Sailor Dee is and fast. I don’t think this air pocket would stop the water from reaching in.” Meta Knight said to himself.
He was right as he could feel the water rising in the air pocket, so he dives back in and continue his search for Sailor Dee.
Hopefully things don’t get any worse from here on.

After a lot of searching in the flooded area and a lot of resurfacing to some air pockets later, he’s still unable to find where the waddle Dee is.
And its made even worse as he’s trying to ignore the burning pain in his wings.
Apparently salt water and burnt body parts do not mix well.
“It’s alright Meta-Knight. Just ignore the pain in my wings and find Sailor Dee. It will be far more easier if you find some more air pockets so that you can continue.” He thought to himself.
But thats when he sees another air pocket with 2 feet’s under there. And seeing this causes him to realise one thing and who was there.
Sailor Dee.
His crewmate was still alive after all. I made him really happy to see.
“Ok. Time to get the kid out of here.” Meta-Knight thought as he swims to the nearest air pocket.
And so he resurfaces and gasps for air. When he was able to breathe again, he sees Waddle Dee clinging onto a wooden plank with a scared expression on his face.
But It didn’t take long for Sailor Dee to notice who was in the same air pocket as him.
“Sir! Oh thank goodness your here. I thought I was a goner.” Sailor Dee said being relieved
“It’s ok Sailor Dee. I’m gonna….get us both out of here.” Meta Knight said to him.
“I’m sorry for running back into the exploding ship but I got really scared. Your really fearless and I’m not.” Sailor Dee said.
Upon hearing it, Meta-Knight knew how much scared Sailor Dee was as he’s just a kid.
He looks up to the warrior of pop star and it makes him happy.
So the knight swims to the waddle Dee and puts his hand on his face.
“Hey don’t be scared. It’s not your fault for running away and this is defiantly not your fault for causing the halberd to get ruined. Your a really good boy with determination. And no matter what happens o us, I’m always there for you.” Meta Knight said to Sailor Dee.
“Thanks sir.” Sailor Dee said back.
So they decide to stay in the air pocket for a few minutes until it was time to find a way out.
Which seems simple.
Until it wasn’t……

{CRASH!!!]
Suddenly they hear a loud crash on the wall and this causes a hole to appear and water to start spewing out.
“Sir what’s going on? Why is there a hole in the air pocket?” Sailor Dee asked being scared.
“I don’t know. But maybe I can block the hole on the wall so that we both don’t drown in here.” Meta knight said as he swims towards the hole.
Meta-Knight tried his best to stop the water from spewing out but it was causing himself to be wet and Sailor Dee to become really worried for him.
“Sir, stop this! There’s no way you can stop the water from flooding!” Sialor Dee said worriedly.
“I have to! It’s the only way you can be safe!” Meta-Knight replies.
Was Meta-Knight actually going to sacrifice himself to make sure that his crew-mates are safe?
As despite being fearless, he tries to ignore the pain or hide it from others as if he shows even a small glimpse of his injury, he would be deemed weak by his own companions.
But he doesn’t have time to reword what he just said to Sailor Dee as suddenly another hole appears and causes the knight to get washed away.
“Sir!” Sailor Dee screamed.
Seeing that Meta-Knight might be in danger and that the air pocket was about to get flooded soon, he has no choice but dive into the water one last time.
As from then on, there would be no more air pockets for them to go through.

When Sailor Dee does dive underwater, he sees that Meta-Knight is still alive much to his relief.
And when the two of them swims to each other. They both realised that there would be no more air pockets for the two of them to resurface and replenish their air.
So they both have no choice but to find a way out before the two of them drowns in the sunken ship.
But the whole halberd feels like a maze. As everywhere they go, they keep going through some dead ends.
And with how long they can hold their breathes for, this might be really dangerous and pointless.
But that’s not the worse part as Sailor Dee doesn’t know how to swim and needs Meta-Knight to carry him around this underwater maze.
Meta-Knight knew about drowning and how painful it is but he has never experience one before as he has always sees himself as invincible. But not right now.
He even starts to doubt wether this was his or Kirby’s fault for causing the hallberd’s downfall as the knight was just doing his job trying to get the people from dreamland to stop being lazy.
He wonders-

That was when he felt his chest starting hurt and his lungs starting to burn again and even sees the same effect happening to Sailor Dee.
They have to get out of here fast or else they’ll die.
So he swims faster while trying to his best not to let go of Sailor Dee.
Until eventually they see a way out. At last an exit. Now they can swim to the surface and reunite with the other knights.
Simple right?
Wrong!
As now that they were out of the sunken ship they were both getting pulled away by the tides and waves from the ocean.
And even though Meta-Knight tries his best to overpower them, it was too impossible to swim through them.
And seeing that both he and Sailor Dee were about to be at their limit, he had a choice.
To either throw Sailor Dee into the surface which would cost the knight his life or let the two of them drown.
So he chooses the former.
“Please forgive me Sailor Dee.” Meta-Knight thought as he looks at Sailor Dee and proceeds to throw him out of the water.
That’s when his body spammed and it was getting really hard to hold his breathe now.
His mind started to repeat the words “don’t breathe the water” over and over again.
As for the first time in his life, he actually felt fear for dying.
But despite his best efforts of holding his breathe. Meta-Knight loses the rest of his air.
And begins to inhale the water.
“No! Not now, not right now!” He thought.
Meta-Knight didn’t know that inhaling water would be that painful.
He didn’t know drowning could be this painful too.
This can’t be the end.
This isn’t how he’s going to die from.
But at least he was able to get one of his crew-mate to safety. And that’s all that matters now.
So with one last inhale he blacks out.
“So this is how I’m going to die huh? Well, if it then I’m sorry everyone.”
“And I’m really sorry for dying on you Sailor Dee.”
“Goodbye….”

{Gasp}
Sailor Dee didn’t know what happened but there he was in the surface.
And despite struggling to stay afloat due to his lack of swimming skills, Sailor Dee was able to grab onto a nearby wooden plank.
And after he was able to get in enough air, he sees that he’s in the surface thanks to Meta-Knight.
“{laughs} Yeah! Sir we made it! We made it. I can’t believe we actually made it!” Sailor Dee said cheerfully.
He tried to look around for the knight but sees that he’s not in the water anywhere.
“Sir?” The waddle Dee said confusedly
He wonders if Meta-Knight is still underwater. So he dives back underwater and looks for his master.
And while there were pretty sights to see in the oceans like fishes and water like creatures, that wasn’t the focus at all. As finding where Meta-Knight is underwater is the focus here.
And after a lot of swimming later he discovers something that really scares him.
It was Meta-Knight. Laying on the bottom of the sea floor, with his eyes closed and his body wasn’t moving.
“SIR!”
Sailor Dee then swims to where the knight is and looks at him for a bit.
Even though he’s drowned maybe there might still be a chance of saving him.
So he proceeds to grab Meta-Knight by the arm and bring him back to the surface.
Despite the lack of some swimming skills and the fact that he had spender a lot of time trying to find him, this didn’t stop Sailor Dee from swimming back to the surface.
And so they were both able to reach the surface where Sailor Dee gasps for air once more but not before seeing that Meta-Knight is still unmoving.
“It’s ok sir. We’re gonna find something that’s big enough for the both of us.” Sailor Dee said to the knight’s {hopefully} unconscious body.
Luckily there was a really big plank of wood floating in the water, so he swims the both of them to it.
And once their on the wooden plank, the first thing the waddle Dee was trying to wake up his master.
“Sir. Wake up. We’re no longer underwater, we’re ok. Please be ok.” Sailor Dee said.
He tried everything to wake him up by shaking him and touching him but there was no response.
“Oh please don’t be dead sir.” Sailor Dee said worriedly as he decides to check Meta-Knight’s pulse through touching his wrist.
But much to his dismay and despair. He couldn’t find one
The all powerful swordsman of pop star is now dead.
And this really shook him to the core.

“No, no, no! Sir, sir please wake up! Please! Your not supposed to be dead! Your supposed to be the fearless warrior in all of pop star. So please wake up!” Sailor Dee said with tears in his eyes.
He’s crying. He’s now crying because the knight is dead.
This couldn’t be. He’s supposed to be invincible. Not dead.
Then he realises that maybe just mayeb there might be a chance to save him.
So he whines away his tears and puts on a determined look on his face.
And even though it might be dangerous to perform this reviving procedure on anyone, it seems like he has no choice.
“{gulps} I’m sorry sir. But this is the only way of bringing you back to life. And if it doesn’t happen then how am I going to explain to the others.” Sailor Dee said.
So he starts to reviving process by giving him chest compressions.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6. 7, 8, 9, 10.
He knew that this wouldn’t immediately cause sir to wake up but he tries anyways.
11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20.
Meta-Knight was still lifeless but Sailor Dee doesn’t give up right away.
21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30.
“Ok that’s 30 chest compression. Now for the mouth to mouth procedure.” Sailor Dee said once he’s done.
So he removes the half broken mask out of the kngiht’s face and proceeds to breathe air into his lung about 3 or 2 times.
But despite this, Meta-Knight was still lifeless.
But Sailor Dee is still not giving up on him, so he repeats the chest compressions and mouth to mouth procedure on the knight.
And with each rounds passed, it seems like it’s starting to become hopeless.
Sailor Dee didn’t know how long Meta-Knight was underwater for and is worried that he might still be long gone.
But he still tries anyways despite getting early tired and having tears in his eyes again.
As he’s so determined with trying to revive his master, that he doesn’t realise that he himself was crying.

“Where…am I?”
He was in some kind of dark voice.
No sound, no light. Just him in the darkness.
That’s strange as why would he be in this place.
Unless…
“Oh, that’s right I….died.”
He never realises that dying can actually be peaceful.
Maybe too peaceful.
As suddenly he feels his chest being pushed with muffled voices going on in the background.
He didn’t know what they were saying and why he’s suddenly feeling everything that’s happening in his body.
Then after he feels something blowing in his mouth, thats when he hears the muffled voice becoming more clearly.
“Sir. You can’t give up just now. I need you to be alive and well. You have to be alive, you have to be. So please come back to me!” The voice said.
“Wait. Is that, Sailor Dee?”
It actually was.
As his vision was starting to light up and was able to see Sailor Dee trying his best at reviving him.
“Sir! Please!”
Meta-Knight then wakes up with a gasp to the waddle dee’s shock
His lung was filled with water, so Meta-Knight had to force himself to cough out the water which was really painful then drowning to death. And the worse part is that Sailor Dee had to witness the knight cough out a lot of water painfully.
So he helps him by patting his back which forces even more water to come out of him.
And so after the coughing fit was over, Meta-Knight lies back down on the wooden plank and starts breathing heavily.
He did it. Sailor Dee actually did it.
He just saved Meta-Knight from being dead.
He felt himself cheering due to it but right now he doesn’t feel like cheering at all.
And so after a minute later, Meta-Knight opens his eyes and sees his crewmate.
“Sailor Dee. You saved me.” He said with confusion.
“Yes I did. And because of it that your ok right?” Sialor Dee said.
No, no he wasn’t ok.
Meta-Knight just died from drowning after he saved someone from suffering the same fate as him.
And realising this really shook him to the core.
To the point where he actually starts to cry.
Dang it he wasn’t supposed to cry. He was supposed to be a fearless hero, but now he’s crying.
And he was crying in front of Sailor Dee.
Jesus, how foolish it was of him to be crying right now.
“Sir, please don’t cry. I’m ok too. It’s because of you that we’re both ok.” Sailor Dee said while trying to comfort him.
“How can you say that? I died. I had to sacrifice my own life to save you. I shouldn’t let you be in this whole mess in the first place. I should’ve grabbed you when the ship was slowly sinking into the ocean and you were still outside. I’m supposed to be the hero! It’s not your job to protect me!” Meta-Knight said being upset.
It really pains him to see the knight his upset before.
He wasn’t upset about the whole halberd getting destroyed or losing to Kirby in a sword fight.
He was upset because he died while saving another person’s life.
So not wanting to see his master cry anymore, Sailor Dee gives him a hug.
“Sir. You always take care and even protect us from harm, but not yourself. You always get hurt and you just slide it off as a scratch. But now I think its best that you should get some medical help. But also I appreciate your efforts of saving me from that sinking ship. And it’s like you said before. You’ll always be there for us no matter what.” He said to the knight.
“Yeah, I guess your right. But most importantly I’m glad that we’re both still alive.” Meta-Knight said as he stops crying and proceeds to also hug the Waddle Dee.
And they continue to hug like this for a minute until Sailor Dee sees the knight’s burnt wings.
“Oh my goodness. Sir, your wings. Their completely burnt. Are you going to be ok?” Sailor Dee asked really worriedly.
“Yeah I’m going to be ok. Despite my wings being badly burnt and it’s obviously not a scratch amigo.” Meta-Knight replied.
But then their conversation was interrupted when they see a lifeboat heading straight towards them.
“Look fellas, it’s Meta-Knight and Sailor Dee! Their both still alive!” One of the Meta Knights said.
“Come on Sword, let’s get the two onto the lifeboat.” Blade Knight said.
“Ok, whatever you say man.” Sword Knight said.
And so the two knights hauls both Sailor Dee and Meta-Knight onto the lifeboat.
He doesn’t know where they will be heading off to. As right now, he’s starting to get really tired from what happened back down there.
But that’s ok as he’s glad that Sailor Dee is also ok and is being comforted by the rest of their crew-mates.
“We’re both going to be ok sir.” Sailor Dee said to him.
And those were the last things Meta-Knight heard before he falls asleep.
Happy that everyone including himself are ok.
