Summary
Imagine the love of your life died two weeks before you were supposed to get married. Four years later, you move to a new town and you see him again, standing in the bread aisle of the only grocery store around.
This is the position Dean Winchester finds himself, four years after his fiance Cas (now going by the name "Emmanuel Allen") supposedly died. Cas is insistent that Dean stays away from him, but Dean's not letting Cas go again without getting answers-- and it doesn't hurt that his not-dead ex-fiancee is still really hot.

yessssss this was so good. deancas engaged and then cas' death is faked for witsec! and dean knows he was never really dead bc the cause of death was bs, and eventually he accidentally runs into cas (w new identity) and new life and is like haha! i found you! but cas is trying to push him away for his safety but dean is having NONE of that and they get back together and also try to take down the final bad guy out there so cas can come out of witsec and he and dean can get married. it was really good and i could just feel dean and cas' desperation so thoroughly and it just made me so invested!! anyways would be a great reread
