it was cold outside today, and my house was quiet, except for saki practicing on the piano downstairs, and my mother preparing to leave for work. i had just finished studying in my room, placing my books one by one when my phone started vibrating.
*new text from rui*
rui: hey, do you want to go out with me today, i need to grab some new flower seeds for the new season.
i respond: sure rui, whereabouts are you getting it?
*rui is typing..*
rui: i'm getting it from a different prefecture today, since there are some flowers there that i want to grow at my house, maybe make a robot that can store it, afterwards we can go eat? if that's ok with you of course!
i replied: 'sure, should i come to yours or are you coming to mine?'
rui: 'well, it might be more convenient if i went to yours'
'alright then, see you soon'
'see you my star, i love you'
i giggle at that last message, and start getting ready to go with rui.
he arrives a good 30 minutes later, ringing the doorbell once. i see him downstairs, talking to saki. then, i slide down the the handrail, scarf flying alongside me, and land right on my feet, walking towards the two. both were laughing, so that can only mean one thing...
'ah, hello onii-chan!' saki greets, before we both hi-five each other.
'hey saki, you tell rui something about me?' i ask
'oh no, we were just talking about mizuki' saki says
'hmm, i'm not sure if i believe that' i say, while tying my boots. rui chuckles, possibly giving it away..
'ah, anyways we need to go now saki, i'll talk to you later.' rui says.
we start walking out the house.
'alright you two, bye bye!' saki shouts, then shuts the door.
'like brother, like sister, fufu' rui says.
'ah rui, lets just get to the station, although i'm still interested in what you two were talking about..'
we get to the station, and soon enough we were on the bullet train with bento boxes. rui had a yellow one, and i had a purple one.
'it was really nice of you to buy me a ticket, and then my lunch rui, thank you.'
'i've already told you, you're welcome! take that as a gift for coming with me!' he replies.
'rui, i always come with you when it comes to things like this, or for anything but alright'
we continue going, though many water beds, to small towns to finally our destination. we get off the train and then rui takes my hand, and we walk towards the garden centre.
we begin to walk down the path in front when i feel something hitting against me.
a snowball.
'rui, how did you- AAAA'
i scream, while rui throws snowballs at me. unfortunately for him (maybe for me as well..), he slips. karma. however, because i am holding his hand, i tumble with him, falling right on top of him.
rui lets out a heavy sigh, seems like i winded him on accident.
we both explode into laughter, then profuse apologising.
rui then slides close to me, and captures my lips in a gentle kiss. i kiss back, pushing away from my shock.
we both pull away at the same time, rui's soft gloved hand still on my face, and then gets up, and holds out a hand to help me up.
such a gentleman...
we finally get there with our giggles subsiding almost immediately. rui then goes and looks around at the flowers, and looks for the seeds, while i look around, browsing.
i feel arms wrap around me and i immediately smile, recognising that it was rui. he kisses me on the neck a few times.
'ah rui, have you found it yet?
he responds 'mhm' softly, like he sounded sleepy.
it was my turn to start to hold his hand. 'lets go, before you pass out.'
i pay for his seeds, much to his surprise, and then we leave, going towards a restaurant.
rui gets curry, and nigiri without vegetables, and i get noodles with cucumber sushi alongside some ramune soda for both of us. we eat and talk a little before we start going so we don't get home late.
we get on the train, and immediately, rui lies his head on my shoulder, then asks 'you don't mind if i do this, do you?'
i respond 'not at all' and then i hear soft snores. i quietly watch some videos until we get to our stop. rui still seemed out of it, so we quickly walked to his home so rui didn't pass out while walking.
we finally get there and rui immediately goes and tugs on my hand, wanting me to go to his room, then goes to change his clothes, with me rushing to change. without hesitation, he pulls me into bed, still very sleepy.
'rui' i whisper.
'how are you still half asleep?'
he doesn't respond, already asleep and holding me close to him, spooning me.
i kiss his cheek as lightly as i can, then i begin to hold him as he shuffles slightly.
'i love you rui'
i fall to a purple themed dream, while i touch his hair.
