Chapter Text
A curious night
They found the Inchani woman and though it wasn't easy - they won the fight. Akkarin was wounded and Sonea, much to her surprise killed her. She did that. The thought made her dizzy.
When she practically begged Akkarin to teach her Black Magic she knew that killing Inchani slaves sent to Imardin was in her future. But knowing and actually doing so were two very different things, she learned this evening.
"Sonea", Akkarin called her after a long time of silence where they walked silently side by side back to the guilde. His eyes softened when he looked at her. How often had he called her name before she noticed? "You did well today, Sonea. It shouldn't..." He stopped mid sentence and seemed to listen. "Takan just informed me that Lorlen is waiting for me in the residence. We need to hurry before he gets the wrong impression." Whatever he was about to say before was forgotten as he hurried back, taking long strikes.
Sonea was slightly out of breath when they reached the cellar. "Wait" she called out before Akkarin went to the administrator. "You are hurt", she reminded him. The High Lord looked at her with something almost a halfsmile. "Nothing a little healing magic couldn't fix. Wait here until Lorlen and I are in the library and then go to your own room. Surely you still have homework to do,"
