Work Text:
Rain was pouring onto the pavement. His heart was pounding, the intense urge just kept growing stronger and stronger. Breaths drawing heavier and heavier. Every raindrop falling from the sky seemed to get faster. His running got faster. Black shoes getting soaked from running through the forming puddles. Every step he took, the closer he got. He just wanted to see Lloyd. Thats all Brad wanted to do. To just see his boyfriend, Lloyd.
Finally, coming to a halt as he reached Lloyd's doorstep. His numb, soaked through hand gently pressed against the doorbell, sending a loud buzz to the inside. Waiting paitently, Brad watched how some of the raindrops raced down the slightly blurred windows. Before long, the front door creaked open, revealing a standing Lloyd. His warm green gaze soon lingered onto Brad as he stood there. Shocked to see his boyfriend randomly show up on the misireable day, he pulled him into the warmth of the home. Quickly after Brad was dragged in, he was instantly met with a towl and extra clothes to change into. But instead, Brad had a different idea. Grabbing onto his boyfriend's hand pulling him over to the door.
"H-hey.. what do you think you're doing, Brad?" He muttered out, just barely audible against the sound of the rain.
Brad pulled him out further into the storm, being gently spat on by the rain. "You always play things safetly. Why not shake it up a little? Now hurry before the rain stops!"
He hesitated slightly, i mean it is true that, he always wanted and needed to play it safe, but it was to protect the others from any harm. But seeing the joy and happiness in Brad's eyes, it maybe the only thing that Lloyd is unable to refuse for. Throwing away all of his troubles and thoughts he said, "Alright fine. Just this once!" He gently tightend his grip on Brad's hand, before being rushed out into the pouring rain.
The rain poured as the two boys danced, twisted, spined and even turned. Soaking them both from the head to the toes. Twirling and being spun through any and every puddle imagineable. Laughter louder then the roaring thunder of the sky. The rhythm merely being replaced with the patteren of raindrops falling.
Neighbours peeked past the blinds, gazing down apon the very two idiotic loverbirds who were dancing away to the way the rain fell. Some could argue it's romantic, and others could argue it being stupid and you'll end up being ill. But none of that mattered to them.
As long as they had eachother in they're arms. Just by being there for eachother was enough for the both of them. Laughing, enjoying and falling in love with eachother. They're moves becoming more passionate, the longer they were out there for. Watching the sunset as the rain fell while they danced in it's remains. They we're both having all so much fun, nothing could brake them apart now. They were and still are inseperable.
