Surprisingly Wholesome

Summary:

A collection of short fics involving Izuku and his boyfriend, Mineta Minoru, as they go on various dates.

Will update for every All for One Simp that invades my Inbox on Tumblr (boss-the-goofball)

Thank This Anon in Particular

Notes:

So yeah
I made a threat/promise that I would write a Dekuneta Fic if AfO Simps come into my inbox
and guess what happened~

For now this will remain as one chapter with no plans for any new ones, this is purely dependent on if AfO Simps want more Dekuneta from me or not.

Work Text:

The smell of freshly baked pastries and coffee beans filled the air while small chatter all around added to the relaxed atmosphere of the cafe.
Izuku’s eyes were more focused on the notebooks that sat in front of him as he pointed at a small passage, a smile on his face as he turned to his study buddy.

“I’m pretty sure this will be on Cementoss’s next test,” he said.

“Yeah, I think so too,” Mineta said, leaning forward just a little further so he could get a closer look.
Izuku pulled the notebook closer so Mineta could get a better look, already feeling guilty for the fact that his date had to sit on his knees just so he could actually see over the table.

As he looked over the passage with Mineta, he pointed at one of the sentences.
“The narrator keeps bringing us back to a vase full of wilted flowers, Cementoss might have a question about the significance of it. What would you say it is?”

He watched, head resting in hand, as Mineta tapped a pencil against his chin in thought.

“Perhaps the narrator had a love that he or she recently lost? I honestly think the lover is dead, what about you?” He asked.

For a brief moment, Izuku closed his eyes in thought before looking at the dangling lights that hung over their table.
“I think it’s more than that. It could be the narrator got those flowers for someone he or she wanted to confess to but failed to. Maybe the flowers symbolize a love that was not meant to be?” He suggested.

Mineta snorted at his answer.
“So you’re saying I would have been the narrator if I didn’t confess my undying love to you?” He asked.

Izuku rolled his eyes as he reached for the next notebook, his hand brushing over a grape sticker that was stuck to it by Mineta.
“If you want to interpret it like that, then sure.”
“I still don’t know why you even agreed to being my boyfriend, especially since you have a lot of options out there. Like Todoroki, Uraraka, Bakugou, Tsu, Iida, or even Kirishima.”

He shrugged as he handed the notebook full of equations to Mineta.
“You think that, but you were also the first one to actually confess to me and I thought it was only fair that I give it a shot. You know?”

His boyfriend smiled.
“Well, I’m happy you agreed.”
