Chapter Text

Headcanon 1

Back at the Space Ranger Academy, Buzz, Warp, Rocket and Ty were all roommates with each other but their personalities were so different from each other that it could be quite chaotic in there. Warp was the free spirited one, Rocket was the class clown, Ty was the laid-back one and last but not least, Buzz was the arrogant one, although he is unaware when he’s acting like it though. Yup! With that many different personalities, it was bound to make a chaotic yet interesting dynamic between the then rookie rangers. However, some of them, not all, did still managed to get along with each other though.

Headcanon 2

When Dr. Ozma Furbanna, one of the most honored animal research scientists in the galaxy, was a child, she’s always loved and have been passionate about animals, and always loved learning about them. Throughout her school life, she had a reputation of being passionately interested in different creatures and learning about them, even if some of them weren’t so “cute looking”. Unfortunately because of this passion about wildlife and her interest in animals, she was picked on alot and would sometimes refer to her as a “total weirdo”. 

She also has gotten a few snide comments about her being “too serious”, claims of being stuck up, rude and a bit cold because of her no-nonsense, anti-social personality, and by “rude” they mean her sarcasm but that’s only when they say stupid comments to her. 

Because of what she experienced as a kid and teenager, this is probably part of the reason why she isn’t really a people person, even when she grew up as an adult, it would make sense if this was the case.

However, she didn’t let those experiences and the words of her past schoolmates stop her from achieving her passion about wildlife and animals and never gave up on it, and because of this determined mindset that she kept, it’s helped her to become known as one of the most honored animal research scientists in the galaxy.

Headcanon 3

Commander Nebula personally wanted kids of his own, but since he was too busy running things at Star Command and trying to help protect the galaxy, he never found the time to have a love life and start a family, thus why he acts like a father figure towards his rangers, especially  when it’s necessary and cares about their safety on their mission. 

One prime example was when in the movie “The Adventure Begins”, when Buzz is eager that he can work alone and doesn’t want Mira or anyone as a partner (For valid reasons, he doesn’t want to lose another partner like he “lost” Warp) and wants to go on a mission by himself, Commander yells at him, “YOU ARE NOT GOING THERE WITHOUT BACKUP!”, in the way a father who cares about his kids would when they want them to be safe. 

So yes, that’s my headcanon, Commander never had any kids of his own but he continues to be like a father figure to his rangers.

Headcanon 4

After the Wirewolf fiasco, He developed PTSD because of the event. He started having nightmares and having trouble sleeping,  having difficulty concentrating work, and feeling tense, the common symptoms of the disorder. Because of this, he had to call in sick from work for a while to focus on working on his trauma. 

He knew he needed someone to talk to about it and need some help, so hes signed himself up for therapy and started to go to there single every week. His therapy is a great one, despite the fact the therapist has never been through what Ty been through, he still showed him alot of empathy and compassion, and that’s exactly what Ty needed at a time like this, for someone to walk in his shoes and not treat him like a monster because of something that happened out of his control.

He’s trying his best to deal with what happened to him but with the support from some of his friends and family, he knows he doesn’t have to deal and cope with this alone.

Headcanon 5 

After the events of “The Plasma Monster”, Booster and Petra became good friends and accepted the fact that Petra in a relationship. In fact, he supports them now and they appreciate it alot. He even befriended Plasma Boy as well, and they were cool after what had happened.

One time, Petra even invited Booster to her birthday celebration, he knew exactly what to give her and as a birthday present and he bought her an autographed vinyl of her favorite rock band, which she was absolutely thrilled about and thanked him for one of the best birthday gifts she’s ever had. Booster was happy that Petra was happy with her gift that he worked so hard to find for her.

As her friend, Booster is willing to be there for Petra when she needs him, support her and will listen to her problems without judging her. Petra is grateful to have such a good friend like Booster.

Headcanon 6

Commander Zeb Nebula was the oldest child of four children, he had one sister and two brothers. He had a tight bond with them and considered themselves a close friendship group but most times he acted like a leader of the group simply because he was the oldest. 

Since he’s the oldest, he always felt that it’s his responsibility to protect them and be a good example for them. That’s not to say he was bossy towards them, even though they thought he was, but sometimes he would yell at them if he felt that if it was necessary or if they get on his last nerve. Typical sibling relationships.

When their parents had once-in-a-while situations where they couldn’t be there to raise them, in some ways that extent, he pretty much did have to act like their third parent since, as mentioned, he was the oldest and always felt responsible for them, take care of them and look out for their safety and well being. Even though, him and his siblings have disagreements, they still loved each other to the moon and back.

Headcanon 7

Because she always loved animals and of course a passionate animal researcher, she became a vegetarian and stayed away from meat products made from other animals. She only ate vegetables, fruits and meatless products like Tofu. It felt uneasy for her to know that if she ate meat, she would be eating beloved that she researched and loved.

Headcanon 8

Savvy’s parents were criminals who didn’t care about her, so when her mom was pregnant with her, they decided as soon as she was born, they were going to abandon her and pretend that she didn’t exist, in their minds, she was basically a burden to them and she was getting in the way of their freedom and criminal lifestyle that they loved so much over their own daughter. After she was born, they abandoned her in the alleyway of Tradeworld, hoping someone else would deal with their, in their words, “That little burden”. Shortly after abandoning her, her parents died in a ship accident trying to run from the authorities, making little Savvy an orphan now.

Thank the stars that two robots, Mr. and Mrs. SL2 found her and took her under their wing. Even if she wasn’t a robot like they are, they weren’t about to leave that poor baby alone by herself to die because of their differences, so they took the opportunity take her in and raise her as their own daughter, and make sure she is getting the love and support that she deserves while she’s being raised in their care. They love their adoptive daughter very much and Savvy loves them just as much.

Headcanon 9

Ty Parsec was born Hispanic, he knows both English and Spanish, and he very much takes pride in his heritage and he was never ashamed of it, it was how his parents raised him. 

Back in the academy, other students there would ask him what something in English meant in Spanish, like they would say, “Hey Ty! Can you tell us what ‘shut up asshole’ means in Spanish?” and if Ty is in a grumpy mood, he’ll flat out say no because he doesn’t feel like being bothered but if he’s in a chill, relaxed mood, he’ll tell them what something means in Spanish.

Sometimes on missions with an assigned partner and the person he’s talking to is speaking Spanish and the partner doesn’t understand it, he would translate what the person said to him, so him knowing Spanish and able to translate it can be useful on missions if necessary.

And sometimes when he’s pissed, stressed or very much annoyed about something, he would mumble something in Spanish because of how he’s feeling at the moment. If he wanted to, he would mumble something sarcastic in Spanish as well.

Headcanon 10

While it’s canon that his parents were filthy rich until, according to Torque, they were ripped off by their retirement, that’s all we really know about his backstory but here’s a headcanon of what it was like. 

Torque’s parents always wanted him to act a certain way, and by a certain way, it means they wanted to mold him and to be the perfect son with perfect manners at all times, while he did try to at first but then he started to hate it, so he started to be his true self and began to rebel against them. He was tired of the fancy, good two shoes lifestyle his parents wanted him to follow by and he wanted something new and exciting, even if it meant getting into trouble and you know what? He found a thrill through that. 

His parents would ground him for getting into trouble and doing something he had no business doing but he wouldn’t care because he would sneak out of the house to meet with his little buddies anyway, and they would get into some serious mischief. His behavior would stress out his parents and thought it made their family look bad, so they sent him to a really tough boarding school hoping it would change him and make him more well behaved but OH they were wrong! Dead wrong! Because he got expelled for causing so much trouble and also for fighting that he actually got kicked out after 2 months of being there.

His parents have had enough of him and kicked him out of their home, disowning him for good because he couldn’t get his act together and had no intentions of changing. But he saw this as a blessing in disguise as he no longer had to live under his parents' roof and he could start a life of his own. 

At first, to earn money, he started to steal and rob from others and somehow did this without getting caught. But it wasn’t enough, so he came up with another idea of earning more money, he decided to plan to rip off his parents' retirement and it was successful and they were no longer “filthy rich” as he put it. 

Ever since then, he started to live the criminal lifestyle and never looked back, being one of those criminals on Star Command's radar, having unpaid parking tickets, guilty of terrorism, smuggling and etc. Safe to say that this guy causes chaos everywhere he goes and he’s proud of it.

Headcanon 11

Ty and Warp were pretty good friends back in the Academy, they got along well and sometimes Ty would even vent about Buzz to him about being saved by him many times, and even though Warp was secretly selling out Star Command at the time, he still understood how Ty felt about being treated like a damsel in distress when it came to Buzz saving him all the time despite the fact that he knew that he could have handled things on the missions himself.  

Once in a while when the team are hanging out together outside of Star Command, Warp would try to hook Ty up with a woman and introduce her to him but Ty would get shy and awkward, and a bit embarrassed to be around a beautiful woman, so Warp would playfully tease him about it much to his annoyance. 

But overall, they were good friends at the Academy. When he thought Warp “died”, he was pretty distraught about it as much as Buzz was. And when the real truth came out, he was pretty and feeling betrayed by the fact that he was alive the whole time and working for Zurg behind Star Command’s back. Safe to say that all those good times he had with Warp are now just memories of the past and all just a big lie.

Headcanon 12

There is no doubt that Gravitina was most possibly bullied as a child due to her large head, the students at school would call her names like Cranium Queen, Planet Dome, Jupiter Head and stuff like that, she didn’t really have that many friends growing up and the only friends that she had were her cousins since, well, they had big heads like her so of course it wouldn’t make sense for them to judge her for it when they also shared that same main trait. 

Although she appreciated and loved her cousins and valued their friendship, she wanted companionship with people outside of her family, especially a nice boyfriend that she could love and can love her back.

It certainly didn’t get better in high school, while she did get along with a few people who didn’t judge her or give her a hard time about her head, Gravitina was a loner and wanted companionship that would last a lifetime, so she started to make up for her physical trait by dolling herself up a bit and that certainly worked because she managed to get attention, the good attention, for how beautiful she looked and not just her head, so she started putting more emphasis on her attractive looks more, which turned her pretty self absorbed, and she never grew out of that as an adult. 

As for her bad prom experience, one of the most popular guys in school asked her out to the prom and she immediately said yes and was over the moon about it, until when they got to the prom, she realized he only asked her to the prom as part of a practical joke that him and his jock buddies played on her, and she was distraught and embarrassed ever since. 

After years of the bullying and mockery, she steered her to a life of crime and drove her to who she is now. Even in adulthood, she still craved that love and companionship, and won’t give up until she gets it one day. She just has to wait for it to come to her.

Headcanon 13

Although that Buzz’s parents loved him very much, their jobs as galactic agents was just…. It was just taking up half of their time, which left them little time to spend time with and be there for their son like they wanted to, so that’s why they let Buzz mostly stayed with his grandmother, Nana Lightyear, who was more than happy to watch over her grandson but sometimes, it felt that she was mostly his parent than his grandmother but she understands it’s not her daughter’s and son-in-laws fault they have such a busy job. However, even with the limited time with their son, they still try their best to be there for their son and spend as much time with him as possible. 

However, when Buzz was 5 years old, him and his Nana got the devastating news that both his parents past away from a dangerous mission that they were on. Buzz didn’t understand death at the time at that young age until his Nana explained it to him when he got the news about his parents, when he realized that he was never going to see his parents again, he was completely heartbroken. 

After his parents’ death, his Nana gained custody of him and took over raising him completely as his legal guardian. Buzz had to go to therapy to help deal with his parents’ death for a while because his Nana figured that he would need it to help him get through his tough time.

Nana raised him the best of her ability and put in enough effort to be there for him, she managed to do a good job because he grew up to be an outstanding young man with a really bright future, a future that was so bright that you’d think it was a star.

Headcanon 14 

Mira’s mom was named Estrella. She was kind and intelligent but like her daughter, she was also a bit hot-headed but she always manages to calm herself down to keep her image as a queen in tact, and also like her daughter, she was confident and a good fighter as well whenever some threats came to the Tangean kingdom despite her husband’s objections of just sitting back and staying on the throne, she wouldn’t take no for an answer. 

Mira was quite close with her mother and loved her very much. Ever since Mira was a child, she told her that she could be anything that she wants to be when she grows up, if she wanted to take the throne, she can, but if she didn’t want to and wanted to take her own path, she could do that too. She was clearly the opposite of King Nova, who feels that his daughter needs to take his throne when she gets older and no longer here.

Unfortunately, when Mira was 8 years old, her mother came down with a terrible sickness and of course, Mira and King Nova were worried about her because they didn’t know how she caught it in the first place and hoped that she would pull through. Sadly, many months later, she had passed away peacefully in her sleep, leaving Mira and King Nova, and the rest of the members of the kingdom heartbroken.

Mira still misses her to this day but she knows that she would be proud of her if she seen her kicking butt as a space ranger today.

Headcanon  15

When Mira and Romac were still young teens, they would talk about their future together. Such as how Romac would talk about what their kids would look like and how many kids they would have, Romac would flirt with her saying that their kids would have their mother’s good looks and Mira would do the same saying the same similar thing that he just told her. 

Romac would say he would want 3 kids with her while Mira says she only wants two. Romac would want mostly boys while Mira says she wants both genders of children. Either way, as long as they come out healthy and loved. 

They would also talk about whether if Mira wants to run away with him and start a new life with him one day and whatnot but Mira tells him that it’s possibly unlikely due to her royal background and her father would not be happy about them eloping or running away together like that. 

However, she did want to keep being with him as long as she wanted to, but unfortunately those hopes and future together were crushed when Mira’s dad, King Nova found out about their relationship and had no choice but to break up. 

To this day, Mira still loves Romac and hopes one day, they can get back together, get married and have kids like they used to fantasize about when they were 15.
