In the buzzing atmosphere of FC Barcelona's locker room, a rumor was making the rounds about Pedri, the young sensation, being loaned to a different club across Spain. Whispers and hushed conversations echoed through the locker room, players exchanging speculative glances, and a clandestine air surrounded the news.
Gavi, Pedris's boyfriend, was the only one left in the dark. Oblivious to the brewing storm, he overheard a snippet of conversation as he passed by a cluster of players, catching wind of the news about Pedri's mysterious loan. The realization hit him like a thunderbolt, and he couldn't believe he hadn't been informed.
Panicking, Gavi tried calling Pedri repeatedly before training, but there was no answer. Concern etched on his face, angry tears started to bubble up in his waterline after every missed call. Frenkie then showed up at Gavi’s side reminding him that training had started and Xavi might be mad if he stayed in the locker room any longer, he headed to the training ground without a fuss, hopping drills would get his mind off his confusion and how upset he was.
But as the training session unfolded, Gavi's mind was racing the whole time, he couldn’t believe someone this close was leaving. All Gavi wanted it to be was just a rumor and nothing else, he couldn’t lose someone so important to him. he couldn’t.
After training was done, he rushed to his phone, hoping for a missed call or a text from Pedri. Nothing. Determined to get answers, Gavi, fueled by a mix of worry and frustration, decided to go straight to Pedri's house. not before he showered and got dressed in new clothes.
Upon arriving at Pedri's place, Gavi was met by Fernando, Pedri's brother, who opened the door with a happy expression. Gavi wasted no time and asked about Pedri's whereabouts, only to find him lounging on the couch, seemingly nonchalant about the chaos unfolding around him.
Confused and irritated, Gavi confronted Pedri, demanding to know why he was going on loan and why he was the last to find out. The atmosphere in the room tensed as the argument escalated into a heated exchange. The two boys were now caught in a whirlwind of emotions, their relationship tested by the secrets that had been swirling within the team. The echoes of their disagreement reverberated through the walls of Pedri's home, leaving an air of uncertainty and tension in its wake.
As the confrontation escalated, Gavi's concern turned into frustration. He couldn't understand why Pedri hadn't confided in him about such a significant decision. The air between them thickened with tension, and Gavi, unable to contain his emotions, blurted out, "Why the hell didn't you tell me, Pedri?"
Pedri, defensive and guarded, shot back, "It's not confirmed, okay? I might not even go."
Gavi's eyes welled up with tears as he retorted, "You might not even go,” the younger scoffed “So it’s true, and you're keeping something this big from me?!" His voice cracked with emotion.
Pedri, sensing the gravity of the situation, tried to reach out to Gavi, placing a hand on his arm. But Gavi shrugged it off. "Don't touch me," Gavi spat, his anger intensifying.
The room filled with the echoes of their argument, words flung back and forth like daggers. Pedri desperately attempted to explain, "Gavi, it's not what you think. I haven't decided anything yet."
But Gavi, his emotions running wild, wasn't ready to listen. "I don't need your excuses, Pedri. You should have trusted me enough to tell me. I thought we were supposed to be in this together."
Pedri, feeling the weight of the situation, tried to approach Gavi again, this time more cautiously. "Gavi, please, let me explain. It's not as simple as it sounds."
Gavi, now consumed by anger and hurt, snapped, "Explain? You should have explained before, not when I found out from someone else. You're supposed to be my boyfriend, dammit!"
Pedri, grabbing the younger boys' hands in solidarity, Gavi looked down at his feet and started crying. all Pedri could do was caress his cheeks and wipe away the tears falling down his face. “the way you would just leave me like this shows a lot of who you are, you just like everyone else” Gavi sobbed.
“Please listen, baby, I would never leave you,” Pedri tried, but Gavi wasn’t taking it. Every attempt from Pedri to soothe the situation only fueled Gavi's anger.
Gavi pulled away, refusing to engage. “You never even cared to tell me something so important, what even am I to you, some toy you can just throw around?” The brown-haired boy covered his face with his hands trying to take control of his emotions.
“No, not at all, please baby look at me” The older tried prying the younger's hands away from his face. “Look at me please” he tried. Finally, the younger one looked up, eyes bloodshot from sobbing.
“you’re so beautiful” Pedri wiped Gavi’s tears away with his thumbs softly touching the boy's face like he was a porcelain doll.
Gavi pulled away and roughed wiped his eyes with his sleeves. “Beautiful? Is that all you can say to me? you keep everything from me and now you’re calling me beautiful like it’s supposed to fix everything now?” his anger intestines.
Pedri feels the weight of his mistakes. “Gavi that’s not what I meant, I never meant to hurt you or keep you in the dark.”
“But you did,” Gavi cuts the older boy off, fuming with anger. “all you care about yourself, you’re so selfish, all you think about is yourself!” Gavi spat.
“I would never Gavi, I care only about you, it’s just Xavi told me about how it would give a lot of money and I ne-“ Pedri stumbled over his words.
Pedri mentioning money sparked a new wave of anger in Gavi. “now you’re bringing money into this? you really are one of a kind.” he scoffed, “is that what it’s about to you? you think I care about your stupid fucking money?”
Pedri, horrified by the unintentional implication, tried to backtrack “No gavi, that’s not what I meant, I never wanted the loan or the money”
But Gavi, blinded by hurt and betrayal, yelled “bullshit, just leave me the fuck alone, I never want to see you again” Gavi stormed out of Pedri's house, hot tears running down of red face, filled with anger and resentment.
Pedri standing there, torn between frustration and regret. The door slammed shut, echoing the abrupt end to a once intimate and trusting relationship, now strained by the weight of a heavy broken heart between the two boys.
Pedri ran out to catch Gavi just before he left. holding onto his hands in an attempt to calm the younger boy down, only angering him more. “Baby, please let me explain to you” Gavi looked into the older eyes, a painful expression on his face and eyes burned with tears.
“Just leave me alone,” Gavi told him weakly. pushing him back with as much strength as he can muster up. which was surprising a lot more than he thought he had in him, which made Pedri stumble back a little.
He stormed to his car, slamming the door shut. Tears streamed down the younger boy's face while he started the engine, tires screeching as he drove away, leaving Pedri standing in the middle of his driveway, broken and defeated.
Pedri, trying once more to fix what he had broken, ran back inside grabbed his phone, and called Gavi, but the call went straight to voicemail. cursing out profanities in anger he sat down on his bed. All Pedri could do was cry, the weight of his misunderstanding hung high in the air like shattered fragments.
The next day, the tension between Pedri and Gavi lingered like a heavy cloud over FC Barcelona. Everyone questioned why the Golden Boy duo was acting completely different. They now avoided each other at all costs, their interactions reduced to icy glances and strained silence.
The echo of the previous night's confrontation lingered, casting a dark shadow between the two, where everyone could see. every time.
Pedri, tormented by guilt and regret, attempted to reach out to Gavi multiple times throughout the training day, but Gavi isolated himself from the other players around him. Gavi shot daggers in Pedri’s direction every time he even came close to him. Pedri decided to give Gavi some space, hoping that time might heal their wounds.
In the midst of training sessions and team events, as days went on, the absence of their usual camaraderie was palpable. Teammates noticed the rift but chose to stay out of personal matters, giving the two young stars the space they seemed to need.
One evening, after a particularly grueling practice, Pedri found himself alone in the locker room. The weight of the situation pressed on him, and he sank onto the bench, burying his face in his hands. The locker room, once filled with laughter and banter, now echoed with the haunting silence of their fractured friendship.
Unable to bear the separation any longer, Pedri decided to make one last attempt to reconcile. He headed towards Gavi's house, anxiety gripping him with every step. When he arrived, he hesitated before knocking on the door. To his surprise, the door opened, revealing a tired and emotionally drained Gavi.
Gavi looked at Pedri with a mix of anger and sadness but didn't say a word. Pedri took a deep breath, ready to lay bare his feelings. "Gavi, I know I messed up. I never meant to hurt you. Please, can we talk?"
Gavi's gaze remained stern, but a flicker of curiosity appeared in his eyes. Pedri continued, "I love you, Gavi. I should have trusted you with everything. I never wanted to go on a loan, Xavi just thought that it could be an option in the future and all I said was I would think about it but I would probably not do it, but I'm guessing other people heard and started talking."
Gavi, torn between the pain of the past and the possibility of a future, sighed. "Pedri, it's not that easy that you kept this from me. You hurt me, and I don't know if I can just forgive and forget."
Pedri nodded, understanding the gravity of his actions. "I know, and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. I just... I can't bear losing you."
Gavi's expression softened slightly, but he remained guarded. "You hurt me, Pedri. Badly. I need time to figure things out."
Pedri nodded again, "Take all the time you need. Can we at least talk some more inside?” holding onto the younger's hands.
Gavi had such a soft spot for Pedri, that he couldn’t help but not let the older male in. While they both sat on the couch Pedri held onto the younger boy's hand tight while he stared into his eyes.
A soft expression on Pedris' face, held so much emotion between them. It felt finally comfortable between the two, after days of heartache and anxiety from what was to come next they finally felt just, okay.
Pedri brushed Gavi's soft brown hair out of his face with his fingers softly, caressing his bright red cheeks. Gavi looked like he’d been crying his days. He doesn’t blame him because he never wanted to lose his boyfriend and also best friend.
As Pedri gently brushed Gavi's soft brown hair away, the tension in the room began to dissipate. The weight of their unspoken emotions hung in the air, but there was a glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe, they could find a way to mend what was broken.
Pedri, still holding onto Gavi's hand, spoke softly, "I never meant to hurt you, Gavi. I care about you more than anything, and seeing you upset breaks my heart."
Gavi, looking into Pedri's eyes, felt a mixture of pain and longing. "You should have trusted me enough to share your struggles, Pedri. We're supposed to be partners in everything."
Pedri nodded, acknowledging the truth in Gavi's words. "I know, and I'm sorry. I thought I could handle this by myself, I knew it wasn’t going to go anywhere. I want to fix this, Gavi. I can't stand the thought of losing you."
Gavi, still guarded but open to the possibility of reconciliation, sighed. "I need to understand, Pedri. Why didn't you think I could help you handle this, did you not trust me?"
Pedri, sincerity etched across his face, replied, "It wasn't about not trusting you, Gavi. I was just overwhelmed and made a terrible mistake. I want to share everything with you, my struggles and my joys. I want you by my side forever, no matter what."
A fragile silence settled between them, and Pedri continued to caress Gavi's cheeks with his fingers, wiping away lingering tears. The softness of the moment contrasted with the days of turmoil they had endured.
Gavi, feeling a mix of emotions, finally spoke, "I don't want to lose you either, Pedri. But we need to rebuild trust. Can you promise me that we'll be open with each other from now on?"
Pedri nodded, squeezing Gavi's hand gently, "I promise, Gavi. No more secrets. Just us, facing everything together."
The softness of their shared promise began to heal the wounds of their recent strife. They sat on the couch, hands intertwined, facing the uncertain path ahead with a newfound determination to rebuild what had been fractured. It wasn't a swift fix, but it was a start, and in that moment, they found solace in the comfort of each other's company.
Gavi rested his head on Pedri's lap, a soothing quietness enveloped them. Pedri, with a tenderness in his touch, started to play with Gavi's soft brown hair, each stroke a silent promise of the affection he held for the younger boy. Gavi, weary from the emotional rollercoaster, gradually succumbed to the comforting embrace, finding solace in Pedri's gentle caresses.
Pedri continued to watch Gavi sleep, a content smile forming on his lips. The room was bathed in a soft glow, the weight of the past days slowly lifting as the two began to reconnect. Despite the lingering unease, this moment held a sense of tranquility—a pause in the storm.
As Gavi's breathing deepened and his features relaxed, Pedri couldn't help but be captivated by the peaceful vulnerability of the boy he cared for deeply. He marveled at the delicate details—the curve of Gavi's eyelashes, the gentle rise and fall of his chest.
Pedri whispered to himself, "You're the most beautiful boy I've ever known," his words a tender confession. In the quiet of the room, he reflected on how fortunate he was to have Gavi in his life, vowing to cherish and protect what they shared.
As the night progressed, Gavi remained nestled in the warmth of Pedri's lap, finding comfort in the presence of someone who genuinely cared. Pedri continued to stroke Gavi's hair, the rhythmic motion echoing the silent promise of rebuilding trust and embracing openness.
In the hushed moments, with the sleeping Gavi before him, Pedri couldn't suppress a smile that formed on his lips. Despite the challenges, a newfound appreciation blossomed within him—the realization that love, understanding, and the willingness to overcome hurdles were the foundations upon which their relationship could flourish once more.
As the younger boy slept peacefully on the older lap, a sense of quiet understanding and connection lingered in the air. The intensity of their recent fight had brought them to a crossroads, and in facing the challenges head-on, they found a deeper closeness that overcame their relationship.
Pedri continued to watch over Gavi with a mix of endearment and introspection. The turbulent emotions that had fueled their argument had, unexpectedly, become the spark for a profound shift in their dynamic. The vulnerability they had both exposed, the raw honesty of their feelings, became the bridge that drew them closer.
The fight had laid bare their fears, insecurities, and the unspoken need for reassurance. In the aftermath, they discovered a newfound intimacy. An unspoken agreement to be each other's pillars of strength, to share the burdens and joys of life together.
Pedri couldn't help but reflect on the fact that sometimes, it took a storm to reveal the strength of a foundation. Their journey through the tempest had brought them to a place of greater understanding and appreciation for each other. The scars of the conflict became a testament to their resilience and commitment.
As dawn approached, Gavi began to stir, waking up to find himself still cradled in Pedri's lap. Their eyes met, and at that moment, there was no need for words. The silent acknowledgment of the bond they had rediscovered spoke volumes.
The fight they both had to endorse through the hardships of every relationship that came to this. Pedri never meant to lie or keep secrets to hurt his boyfriend's feelings. But it came back on him to hurt him even more than anything.
Moving forward, Pedri and Gavi carried with them the lessons learned from their heated exchange. The scars were not erased, but they became symbols of growth, a reminder of the strength found in vulnerability.
The fight, paradoxically, had become the incentive for a more profound connection. They faced the challenges together, embracing the imperfections and recognizing that true closeness required navigating through both the calm and the storm.
Holding each other close, it finally felt like they were free. Things weren’t completely back together, Gavi still needed time to forgive Pedri, but in the meantime, the comforting silence, the rising sun. showed that today was going to be better for both of them in so many ways.
“I love you, so much Gav” Pedri broke the bare silence, Gavi looked up into his eyes, tears broke out on his waterline, and before he knew it he was sobbing in his boyfriend's arms. The fragile mess Gavi was around Pedri made him feel vulnerable and showed how he really felt underneath his hard-to-crack skin.
“I love you so much more Pepi” his voice crackled with tears streaming down his face. “Why are you crying, my love?” Pedri held the younger in his arms, worried for the boy.
“I'm just happy I have you, I never want to lose you again” he laughed with a watery smile. Pedri smiled back and kissed the boy beneath him softly, holding his face in his hands. “You will never lose me again, I promise”.
