A Kitten's Home.

Summary:

Being an idol is not easy, being a Little and an idol was even harder.

Can you imagine falling sick at the same time? Lee Minho sure can, and it was awful, something Minho barely handled when he was Big.

When Minho falls sick after participating in a show before their break. All hell breaks loose. Their Little one screams and shouts, and he protests everything his caregivers do to try and take care of him.

It's a fussy day. A day Minho couldn't find in himself to relax or not scream, things happen and it causes chaos in their little dorm.

Felix and Jisung try their best to soothe their upset Little one, but sometimes they need some extra help. It's lucky that this is their home and their baby feels so safe with everyone there.

This was their kitten's home after all.

Notes:

Sooo, you know how I said that I wouldn’t write another part for this one-shot and it would stay a one-shot?

Yeah, it didn’t happen-

I know that I should be updating my other story like my omega! verse story but my brain just isn’t letting me at the moment which is annoying but at least you guys get more to read 🥺.

This won’t revolve around Seungmin as much but it’ll be set in the same universe as the one-shot I did.

But, if you haven’t read the 1st part, you might get a little confused so I would read the 1st part just in case but you’re free to read this part alone uwu.

Please note that this is in the Maniac era, and based around Minho not being 100% or at least seeming like he wasn’t fully theorem during the show. “Idol Human Theatre,” with the very iconic words of Seungmin, “I’m Jab Master,” that is in the episode. Just, so you all have a rough idea of when this is all taking place uwu.

This one-shot contains:
- Maternal and paternal name usage.
- Crying.
- Little space.
- Baby and toddler items.
- Babying.
- Pacifiers.
- Pet names.
- Kisses.
- Breath-holding spell.

I hope you all enjoy this and I love you all a ton. Thanks so much for reading!

Kudos and comments are highly appreciated!

See you all at the end!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

“No! I said no!” The loud shout surprised the entire dorm and it stopped the sound of car sound effects as everyone paused to look upstairs towards the commotion. “Mama, no!”

Oh, that wasn’t a good sign for Minho.

Felix hushed Minho quietly as they were in Minho’s Little room. “I know, baby, I know,” he whispered and held Minho. He held him gently by his shoulders, back down onto his bed- well cot to lay down. “But you need to be a good boy for Mama and hold still,” Felix hushed him quietly as he was slipping mittens onto Minho’s little hands.

Minho hated mittens but he had to wear them. He had been trying to scratch Jisung, Felix, and even himself. Which was nothing like their little giggling angel who loved nothing more than kisses and feeling protected. He had managed to land a of couple knicks on them and a few that did pierce the skin but nothing horrible or that a bandage couldn’t fix.

The only reason he was acting out like this, was because he was sick.

Due to Minho being sick, it stressed Felix out. Minho rarely got sick. He was a healthy baby and they had always made sure to take care of their baby. They made sure he didn't eat anything he wasn’t supposed to, and that he was warm in the cold season…he probably was over-exhausted and fell sick to recover due to their busy schedules as idols.

It wouldn’t be the first time or the last time that one of their Littles or a caregiver had fallen ill.

Honestly, it shouldn’t have been too much of a surprise that Minho was sick. They should’ve seen the signs during “Idol Human Theatre,” but they didn’t. At least, Felix didn’t.

Jisung had tried to cheer Minho up during the day as he seemed tired and out of it. Jisung had gotten a few giggles and laughs out of their sleepy hyung, but nothing that had indicated that he was getting sick.

Yet, here they were, with a very upset and sick Little.

Felix had felt awful that their baby was feeling so horrible.

“Said no, Mama!” Minho cried out as tears slowly rolled down his cheeks. Felix hated seeing their baby cry and hated when Minho was this upset and overwhelmed since Minho rarely cried.

But it was for his safety and Minho only proved his point as Minho’s mittened hand went up to his neck, and attempted to scratch it. When that didn’t work, he started to hit himself on his legs to try and get the mittens off, even though they were tied to ensure Minho couldn’t get them off.

“Ah, ah. Baby, no, don’t try to do that,” Felix whispered and grabbed his arms. Minho’s hands spasmed in Felix’s hold and Minho’s face twisted in anguish. “Darling, you can’t do that. It’s sore-sore,” he tried to reason with him as Minho whined.

Normally, their baby was an angel. But, when he was sick, everything overwhelmed him or agitated him. He had to get his feelings out but because he was sick, he didn’t know what was wrong or how to make things stop.

“Mama!” Minho cried out and Felix hushed him as he gently clasped his hands together around Minho’s mittens. Minho hiccupped and sniffled. He didn’t like this!

He wanted the pain to go away and his Mama was making it worse. He sobbed quietly and clenched his eyes closed.

Why wasn’t his Mama helping him?! Mama was making it worse, holding him like this! It wasn’t a comforting hold and why did he have to wear the mittens?! He choked out a sob.

“Oh, I know, baby…” Felix hushed him quietly and when Minho didn’t fight against him anymore, Felix gently let go of one wrist to wipe away Minho’s tears and play with his hair. “But you’re gonna make your pain worse if you don’t listen to Mama,” he whispered and gently kissed his head.

Minho sniffled as he looked up at Felix. Felix stared back down, adoringly at the doe eyes that belonged to his baby. They had tears in them, and Felix hushed him quietly again. He couldn’t help but find Minho heartbreakingly adorable like this.

“Da’s gonna be back up soon with some nice and warm milk to help your sore tummy,” Felix whispered and a small whine left Minho as the reminder that he had an annoyed stomach, made it twist slightly in pain.

Felix sighed quietly and released Minho’s other hand. He kissed Minho’s head and hummed quietly whilst he reached down to gently rub Minho’s stomach.

Another whine left Minho and he squirmed a little but didn’t protest. Felix and Jisung tended to keep Minho in oversized hoodies and shorts. He had explained his discomfort with the idea of pull-ups, onesies, or anything too baby-like. Minho may have the headspace of a 1-year-old or a 2-year-old, but he could easily be taken out of that headspace by feeling any type of shame.

So, they always dressed Minho in comfortable clothes and things that would keep him warm. Usually, Minho could tell them if he needed to go bathroom with a couple of hand signals they had set up with the little one.

“Mama…?” Minho asked quietly and it snapped Felix out of his admiring. “Kissie?” He asked quietly, hesitantly.

Instantly, Felix smiled. “Of course, baby,” he whispered and kissed his head before he trailed kisses down his cheek. “Big kissies?” He asked as he could feel Minho settling a little. When Minho nodded, he kissed his jaw before he gently pecked his lips.

When Minho giggled, albeit a little sniffly and nasally. Felix was probably gonna get sick, but it didn’t matter to me if it made his baby happy.

“Th’nks, Ma,” Minho whispered and Felix kissed his slightly snotty nose before he grabbed a tissue and wiped away the tears more thoroughly before he got Minho to blow his nose in another tissue.

A whine left Minho as it made him feel a little dizzy and his ears rang slightly, but he did it to make his Mama happy.

“My good boy,” Felix whispered before he heard the telltale signs of Jisung walking upstairs. He smiled and gently pulled back to get off the edge of the cot. Minho whined quietly and Felix pulled him up as well, into his arms with a kiss to his head.

He got Minho collected into his arms so they could go over to the rocking chair where Minho usually got fed and settled for bed. Felix hummed and settled Minho against his chest and in a normal position as if he were going to feed him. But, instead of the normal stillness and calming down that was normally caused by the familiar position, Minho squirmed.

It confused Felix at first but he didn’t have time to ponder on it as Jisung walked in. Jisung walked back into the room with a bottle in hand and a smile on his face, as well as Minho’s carrot teether.

But, it seemed that just the presence of another person, even if it was Jisung, was enough to set Minho off again. It stunned Felix when Minho threw himself off of Felix and threw himself onto the ground to get to Jisung.

“Whoa! Whoa!” Jisung said and threw the bottle and teether into the air from shock, Felix was barely able to catch them as he stood up to try and save Minho, but he couldn’t. Jisung rushed over as Minho ignored the pain to suddenly be in tears again and he crawled over to Jisung.

They were both flustered. Felix was worried about Minho. What if he had hurt himself when he forced himself to the floor?

“Hey, hey. What’s wrong, baby?” Jisung asked with wide eyes, quick to struggle to lift their baby for a second before he had Minho in his arms.

Jisung looked at Felix, confused as Minho was bawling his eyes out again. Minho hiccupped whilst Felix walked over to the pair, quick to start checking over Minho to ensure he had no issues. Maybe he had hurt himself, which is why he was crying.

Even if he just hurt himself by flinging himself out of Felix’s arms and onto the floor, their baby had been so calm mere seconds ago.

“Da!” He sobbed out loudly. Felix gently grabbed a wipe to gently clean his reddened cheeks as the tears rolled down his cheeks again.

Minho hiccupped. “Da…” Minho called out weakly. Jisung didn’t know what was going on, but usually teasing Minho or trying to have Minho pick a favorite made him smile or giggle.

“My poor baby ~,” Jisung cooed at him and gently pinched his cheeks. “Was Mama being mean to you?” Jisung teased. Felix glared at him instantly.

Now was not the time to play favorites, especially not when Minho wasn’t well. Not when he was crying for no reason. Felix huffed at Jisung and swatted at his thigh for playing this game right now.

“Off?” Minho asked with teary, hopeful eyes. He held up his mittened hands for Jisung to see.

Felix huffed and couldn’t wait to see how Jisung would handle this situation and try to deny Minho something. “Oh, my baby,” Jisung whispered, the heated bottle set to the side by Felix as he folded his arms.

“These can’t come off,” Jisung whispered. Minho whined. “Oh, I know. You can’t feel your fingies, can you?” He asked. Minho pouted with a sniffle and a nod. “Do you know why Mama and Da have to keep the mittens on you?”

Minho slowly shook his head. “Because you hurt yourself,” he whispered and Minho blinked up at him slowly. “You hurt Mama and Pa, you used your pretty nails on us, baby,” Jisung whispered as Minho let out a shuddering hiccup.

“You gave Da, a boo-boo and those aren’t very nice,” he whispered as Minho had fought tooth and nail against them for a long time today and they had no idea why he had put up such a fight until they realized he was sick.

Normally, Minho would quite easily regress for him but they weren’t surprised he was putting up a struggle.

When he was sick, Minho would not regress as he didn’t want to be taken care of. He didn’t wish to be a burden. Felix and Jisung would have to push their baby into regressing because Minho would try to take care of himself even though he was sick and Minho had some ugly sick periods.

Jisung gently lifted his hand to show a bandage on his hand.

“See this? You gave me a boo-boo,” he whispered and Minho’s eyes widened and he gasped quietly.

A quiet whine left Minho and he pouted, quick to snuggle in close.

“I sorry, Da…” Minho whispered and they were always proud when Minho spoke more than 2 words, so he got plenty of soft kisses from Jisung and Felix.

But, they couldn’t let Minho get away with things like this.

“Yeah. It hurt baby,” Jisung whispered and leaned down to kiss his head. “But, this is why Mama and Da tell you that you can’t hurt others. You need to try and use your words. But, if that’s too big, you need to use gentle actions to tell us, baby…”

Minho whined and nodded. He gently reached out to grab his hand Jisung’s.

Jisung allowed it and smiled softly as Minho looked at the colorful, kiddie bandage Jisung had on. Minho had tears in his eyes and he whined pathetically. But, Jisung’s eyes widened when Minho leaned forward and gently placed a kiss on his bandage.

“Sorry, Dapa…” Minho whispered and both his caregiver’s eyes widened at the sudden new title from their Little. Jisung tried not to squeal in excitement and Felix tried not to snort in laughter at the sudden new title.

A soft coo left Jisung. “It’s okay, baby. Dapa forgives you,” he whispered and smiled when he saw Minho’s ear tips were a soft red, embarrassed. “Is baby finding it hard to talk?” Jisung asked quietly and Minho nodded.

It wasn’t surprising as Minho had spoken a lot in the last hour or so they had been trying to wrangle the Little to get his mittens on and trying to get him to regress.

“Is Dapa, Da’s other name too?” Felix whispered and Minho’s ears turned bright red as he sniffled. Minho shyly nodded and Felix wiped his cheeks again as tears tumbled down them. “Okay, you can call Jisung, Da, or Dapa, he won’t mind, isn’t that right, babe?”

Jisung smiled. “I don’t mind at all, baby. Call me whatever you like,” he whispered and gently kissed his head as Minho continued to hold his hand. Minho didn’t let go as he pulled Jisung’s hand to press it against his cheek.

Minho nodded softly as his eyes drooped slightly, exhausted from all his crying.

“I think someone needs a nap,” Felix whispered as he through the wipes into the bin in the corner. Minho whined loudly in protest.

Quietly, Felix sighed at the whine. He didn’t want to upset Minho any further but their baby did need a nap. Minho wouldn’t get better without sleep.

“No, baby. You’re sick and you need to sleep,” he said sternly as Minho kicked at Felix in protest of needing to sleep. He huffed and still held Jisung’s hand to his face before he kicked at Felix again.

Only when he was sick did Minho protest this hard to do anything, especially sleeping.

“Ah-ah. We don’t kick,” Felix scolded him softly and Minho whined against Jisung’s hand whilst Felix folded his arms and Minho tried to kick Felix again. It wobbled Minho slightly in Jisung’s hold. It was still a full-grown adult in his arms after all.

Jisung hummed and gestured for the bottle that should have been cooled down enough for Minho to drink now.

“No!” Minho screamed and pushed against Jisung with his mittens at the idea of a bottle. That meant a nap and he didn’t need one!

He was quickly getting frustrated as his hands kept slipping off of Jisung’s chest due to the stupid mittens. Tears were in his eyes again and he kicked his leg once more and tried to fuss around in Jisung’s arms to get away.

“Da, no! No wan’!” He begged quietly and shook his head. His breathing was a bit ragged as he couldn’t exactly breathe through his nose.

They didn’t want to upset Minho any further, but he needed his nap and he needed it now. It was 2 hours over his normal nap time it was only half a bottle. It was even mixed with honey, the way Minho liked his bottles.

A quiet hum left Jisung and he held Minho tighter, more securely so he wouldn’t fall out of his arms.

“You’ve gotta have a nap, baby,” Felix whispered as he moved closer to hold the bottle. “Be a good boy and take a drink,” he told him softly, quick to kiss his head. Minho whined and shook his head.

But, Jisung’s voice suddenly cut in and it surprised Felix.

“I don’t care. You are tired and you need your bottle. You’re having it, Minho.” More tears were in Minho’s eyes, which threatened to spill at any second. Felix was briefly surprised at the sternness from Jisung.

Crocodile tears rolled down Minho’s cheeks, not real tears as they watched the little force them out and force his breathing to stutter. That was nothing new, Minho always did crocodile tears, usually.

Minho did not cry real tears often as an adult or as his Little.

“Said no!” Minho shouted and started to slam his mittened hands against Jisung’s chest.

He got about 2 hits in before Felix grabbed his hands. “Minho,” he said softly with a frown as Minho squirmed. “We use our words or gentle actions, baby. It’s not nice to hit Dapa,” Felix whispered and Minho hiccupped.

So Minho did the only thing he could do.

Minho cried.

Chan blinked at the sudden wailing from upstairs. There had been shouting and crying, but not anything that loud. He frowned and looked around the room to ensure the Littles hadn’t been startled.

Hyunjin was in his lap. His toy cars were being driven on Chan’s chest as Hyunjin made multiple vroom, brrr, and vroom-room sounds. All of his lovely car noises were a blessing to his ears as Hyunjin was adorable like this. Chan looked towards the stairs.

That was Minho’s crying and it wasn’t a good sign when their youngest little was screaming like that. He frowned and glanced over at Seungmin.

Seungmin hadn’t seemed phased. He didn’t even react to the noise as he happily sucked on a pacifier and watched a show on his iPad. He was lying on his stomach and his feet were kicking in the air. The headphones he wore made it so he hadn’t heard anything.

Jeongin had gone out to a vocal lesson. He also needed to pick up a few specific supplies Seungmin needed for when he was Little. He had asked if Chan and Changbin could take care of him. They had agreed once Jeongin had explained to Seungmin that he’d been gone for a bit of the day.

But, he had also promised that if Seungmin was a good boy, he’d get a treat and that he shouldn’t be afraid to ask his uncles and aunties for help.

Minho’s crying was loud and it made Chan wince. Just because Felix and Jisung did a great job with Minho and were his main caregivers. But that didn’t mean he couldn’t be concerned, and when he glanced over to Changbin, his fellow caregiver appeared just as worried.

All the littles had regressed as it was their first few days off after a lot of events and grueling schedules. Seungmin was in a much younger headspace once again, hence the pacifier. The small break was going to be great for them, but for Minho, it couldn’t have been going worse.

When they found out he was sick, they had to put in extra leave. The company wasn’t happy, but they’d get in a lot more trouble if they forced a Little to perform whilst sick, there were laws to prevent Littles from being mistreated like that.

He knew Felix could handle Minho and so could Jisung, but Minho hadn’t lashed out or freaked out this badly in a while. Not since they first found out he was little or when Minho had twisted his ankle way back in around 2018 when they were still not widely known.

“Bin,” he said, and Changbin looked away from the stairs in an instant. Chan sighed before he looked at Hyunjin, the little one was immersed in his playtime. “Baby,” he called out and a small laugh left Changbin as he knew what was going to happen.

Instantly, a huff left Hyunjin. He glanced up at Chan and glanced at the stairs before he focused on his toys again and how they rolled over Chan’s body.

“You can’t move, Daddy. No.” Hyunjin said as he knew what Chan was going to ask. A small laugh left Chan at his stubborn baby and he gently cupped a hand to Hyunjin’s cheek. Hyunjin pouted at him and pulled his car away to look up at Chan. His Daddy was asking for his attention after all.

Minho’s next wail made Chan frown and even Hyunjin flinched. He knew that he needed to go and check on the caregivers and their youngest Little. Sometimes, when they’re sick they don’t want their primary caregivers. Most littles did, but Chan wanted to check on them just in case and to see if he could help in any way possible.

A quiet huff left Hyunjin as he stared at Chan. Chan took that as a reluctance that Hyunjin would hear him.

“Baby,” he called out and brought his other hand up to cup Hyunjin’s face. “Could Daddy go upstairs and check on Minho?” He asked and Hyunjin frowned.

Hyunjin’s facials always made Chan laugh, whether he was little or big.

“I promise I won’t be that long and you can play with your cars on Papa's chest whilst I’m gone,” he whispered and laughed when he heard Changbin groan loudly.

This is why Chan always told Changbin not to work out at least a day or two before they were scheduled for a break. Hyunjin was always bound to play on their chests, using them as hills and roads. He looked smugly at Changbin for being right before Hyunjin pouted more and that had Chan’s attention once again.

“Mm…” he looked down at Chan’s chest which held his toy car, resting on the pec since Hyunjin had taken his hand off it to pay attention to Chan.

A few quiet moments passed before Hyunjin huffed quietly.

“But Papa’s chest is too big,” Hyunjin glanced at Changbin, his eyes settled on Changbin’s chest. “Hard to drive on from being all squishy. Cars get stuck between the…hills…” He said as his pout got bigger and Chan’s eyes widened before he laughed.

Changbin squawked, offended by Hyunjin’s words. “Hey, that’s mean, baby!” Changbin shouted as Hyunjin giggled quietly at how loud Changbin was being. More giggles spilled from his lips when Changbin sat up, Hyunjin grabbed his toy gently to press it against Changbin’s chest.

It made Changbin sputter slightly as Chan let go of Hyunjin’s face so he could freely move around and hopefully go to Changbin.

“Are you calling Papa fat?!” Hyunjin gasped in horror and nearly dropped his toy in surprise.

Never would Hyunjin think of insulting his Papa like that!

“Papa, no! Never!” He shouted, his eyes wide in horror. Chan chuckled with an amused look as Hyunjin pulled his toy back.

His hands floundered slightly as Hyunjin pressed his toy to own his chest. He tried to find the words as he ran the toy up his own chest. The toy ran smoothly over his shirt without any problem compared to if he ran the toy over Changbin’s chest.

“You no fat,” he looked up at Changbin, his eyes wide and filled with love and concern that made Chan smile. “Papa, strong and just…” He pouted and looked away shyly, cheeks a soft red.

“...Have a big chest…good for sleeping, but not for cars,” Hyunjin whispered shyly and Chan smiled softly at how shy their baby was.

Their baby did not compliment them often. So, when he did he was shy and would often hide away.

“Oh,” Changbin said and smiled softly. The compliment made him puff his chest out and Chan rolled his eyes.

Changbin gently shuffled closer and made Hyunjin look at him. “Thank you then, baby,” he whispered and kissed his cheek, a shy whine left Hyunjin at the kiss and he huffed afterward.

“What about you play with your cars on Papa’s tummy?” Changbin suggested and Hyunjin looked confused. “It’s not as big as Papa’s chest so you can run your cars all around without them getting stuck,” he whispered.

Hyunjin’s eyes lit up and Chan chuckled.

Their baby was so excited by simple things like that. Oh, and eating.

“So,” Changbin said and gently petted his head. “Can Daddy go help Uncle Lixie and Hannie?” He asked as Hyunjin nuzzled into his hand, happy about the head pets.

A small huff left Hyunjin as he had been having fun with his Daddy but he supposes he could let his Daddy go help his little cousin.

It made him pout but he relinquished his spot and wobbled over to his Papa.

Changbin perked up and quickly pulled Hyunjin close. He quickly kissed over his face and a whine left the Little.

“Such a good baby. The bestest of babies,” he cooed and Hyunjin whined, and squirmed to get out of his hold.

Kisses could be so annoying!

Almost instantly, he shoved Changbin’s face away from him, a small grumble left him and Changbin acted offended. Hyunjin’s cheeks were a soft pink.

“Papa! I wan’ play, not kissy time!” Hyunjin stubbornly proclaimed as he shoved Changbin’s face away from him more. “You said I could play, so play!” He whined as he tried to hide his embarrassment about getting kisses from his Papa and all the compliments.

Hyunjin stared at Chan as he got up, his caregiver already looking at him with a raised brow. Hyunjin knew that look. He was misbehaving.

“We use our manners, baby,” Chan told him quietly as Changbin moved himself away. “It’s also not nice to shove people. We use our words when we don’t like something,” he whispered and Hyunjin looked down.

Getting scolded by his Daddy sucked!

“Sorry, Daddy,” Hyunjin mumbled before he looked at Changbin. He squirmed a little.

Under the watchful gaze of his Daddy, Hyunjin turned to his Papa who had laid down to give Hyunjin access to his stomach.

“Can I play? Please? On your ‘ummy, Papa?” He asked quietly and Chan smiled at Hyunjin, proud that he listened and even apologized all on his own. Sure, he could be demanding and stubborn, but he was usually a good boy at the end of the day.

Their Little was adorable.

But, Chan could tell that all the effort of talking and asking for things was forcing Hyunjin into a younger headspace than usual. Chan hummed and fished out Hyunjin’s pacifier from his bag on the table. The bag was flower-themed which was completely different to Hyunjin’s liking of cars.

Changbin had moved into position and Hyunjin settled next to Changbin. He was uncertain at first about how to sit or how to play. Changbin watched him, didn’t push him or suggest anything.

Eventually, Hyunjin placed a car down on Changbin’s covered stomach. Changbin smiled at their little as he giggled and started to make his car noises again.

“I’ll be back soon, baby. Daddy promises,” Chan told him and Hyunjin nodded. He wasn’t paying attention, but Changbin was as Chan walked over.

A soft coo left Chan and he smiled.

“Be a good boy for Papa,” he tipped Hyunjin’s head back, and before he could protest, Chan popped Hyunjin’s pacifier into his mouth and kissed his nose.

The kiss on his nose made Hyunjin go cross-eyed and he whined for a second before he automatically started to suck on the pacifier. He relaxed at the rhythmic and familiar use of his pacifier.

Chan smiled and was briefly distracted as he thought about how lucky they were with Hyunjin.

He couldn’t help but think of how Hyunjin had been a shy Little before, one that didn’t understand that he could be himself.

Unlike Minho who had feared for his life when he was found out to be a Little, having had a meltdown when he was found out. Hyunjin had simply been hesitant to let them know he was Little and had hidden away when he was found to be a Little.

But, he had still been willing to be small with everyone.

Of course, they didn’t push Hyunjin to be little or to show them. They’d never push any of their Littles to do something they didn’t like unless it was necessary, such as when Hyunjin had hurt himself when he was Little before they had gotten his confidence up. He had locked himself in his room and was too shy to let anyone see him as a crying mess despite all the pain he had been in.

It had taken Chan at least 15 minutes of coaxing before Hyunjin had slowly opened his door. It was so crazy to think that Hyunjin was a shy little before.

He gently tipped Hyunjin’s attention back to his toys and whispered praise into his ear. Chan had fallen in love with the sight of Hyunjin as a little and he didn’t think he could ever get tired of the sight of Hyunjin being a little or seeing the way Changbin took care of him.

Minho’s sudden wailing snapped Chan out of his daydreaming and remembering how far Hyunjin had come.

“Daddy will be back,” he whispered to Hyunjin who had happily gone back to his toys, happy noises left him. Changbin’s soft laugh was heard as Chan walked off. Changbin had watched as Hyunjin struggled to keep his pacifier in his mouth whilst he made the noises.

Chan headed upstairs with a quiet hum so Jisung and Felix could hopefully hear him over the desperate wailing from Minho. He gently knocked on Minho’s little room door before he walked in.

“Hey. Is everything-,” his eyes widened at the sight of how upset Minho looked. He hadn’t seen him that upset, that desperate to get his emotions out in a long time.

But, he also hadn’t seen Felix so upset. Dried tear streaks were on Felix’s face as he was holding Minho close and Jisung held Felix and Minho close, wrapped in his arms.

He had walked in just as Minho spat out his bottle with a loud wail and a whack against Felix’s chest.

“Oh, what happened?” He asked quietly and Minho’s crying halted for a second at the new but familiar voice before his wailing got louder. Jisung lifted his head from where it had been hidden in Felix’s chest so he could whisper in Minho’s ear.

A quiet sigh left Felix as he held Minho close. They had swapped when Minho had cried for Felix, not wanting to be in Jisung’s arms after he got scolded.

“Minho doesn't want his bottle,” he looked at Minho who whined at the mention of a bottle. He buried his face into Felix’s chest more. He hated the idea of a bottle when it just made him feel icky!

Jisung swooped in and kissed Felix’s cheek when fresh tears brimmed Felix’s eyes at Minho’s behavior. It was evident that something had happened whilst Chan had been with Hyunjin, trying to convince his little one to let him go.

“But, that’s just because our angel is feeling sicky,” he whispered and gently played with Felix’s hair, his other hand wiped away the tears.

Minho sniffled before he hesitantly peeked out from Felix’s body to look at Chan. “Unkkie?” He asked quietly. Chan smiled and nodded before he looked at Felix, his younger member's face filled with worry.

“You’ve also gotta remember that Minho doesn’t get super hungry all the time when he’s sick,” Chan reasoned as Minho started to settle. His feet swung lightly in joy but his leg swinging slowed down as he was tired. The crying had exhausted him.

Felix wrung his fingers between his other hand’s palm, anxious. “But, he always wants his honey and milk. Even when he’s sick,” he whispered. Jisung sighed. Jisung made Felix look at him and Chan smiled when he watched the caregivers share a soft kiss.

“Lixie, he’s sick,” Jisung whispered. “He doesn’t know what he wants. But, if he says no to his bot-bot. We’ve gotta listen,” he tippy-toed and kissed Felix’s head.

Worry was evident on Felix’s face at the idea of not giving their baby his bottle. The thing he loved to have more than his cuddles and kisses.

“But he’s hungry,” Felix whispered. “I don’t want him to be hungry while he’s sick. He’s gonna need as much food as possible to get better, including his milk,” he stated. Jisung hummed and pulled his partner closer as a small sigh left Felix.

Chan hummed. “Well, Min-Min,” he looked down at Minho as he whipped the little one whipped head around at the mention of his name once again. “Did you want your bottle now? Your bot-bot?”

When a frown was on Minho’s lips, Chan knew the answer.

If Minho had just screamed the house down over it, why in the world would he want his bottle?

“Okay, no bot-bot,” he said and Minho let out a sniffly sniffle. “How about a nap?” He offered instead and Minho snuggled in closer.

Both caregivers’ eyes widened and Chan blinked. “Okay. No nap,” he said instantly as they both tensed up but relaxed when Chan brushed the idea of a nap off.

Usually, they weren’t so tense about naps as Minho loved them. It meant cuddles, but it seemed to be a touchy subject at the moment, at least when he was sick.

Minho gently slapped his hand on Chan’s arm suddenly. That snapped them out of the tense atmosphere.

“Baby, we don’t hit,” Felix chided him softly and Minho simply hit Chan’s arm again with a small whine. “Minho,” he whispered. Chan laughed softly as Felix huffed and rubbed at his puffy eyes.

“Felix, it’s okay. I have a feeling he’s just trynna tell me something is all,” he whispered and brushed Minho’s face out of his hair. “That’s right, isn’t it buddy?” Chan looked at Minho who minutely nodded.

When he was scolded, Minho huffed. “Unkkie,” he said again and reached out for him. Chan took that as a sign and quickly yanked Minho into his hold after Felix nodded. He held him and couldn’t help but chuckle when Minho seemed conflicted to be in his arms.

A small whine left him and Chan could feel how Minho tried to use his fingers to grab him, through the mitten. “The mittens don’t come off, baby,” he told him. Minho whined but he nodded with a pout.

Felix pulled away from Jisung. He walked over and smiled at Minho. He hated Minho being sick, but he’d do anything to make him happy.

“Does our baby just want cuddles with Da?” He asked quietly, the dried tears still on his cheeks.

Minho gasped when his Mama came back into his view. He giggled for a second before he saw his Mama’s cheeks and his eyes were bright red.

“...Mama sad?” He asked instead of answering Felix’s question. Felix’s eyes widened instantly but he smiled.

Their baby was always so attentive.

“No, baby. Mama isn’t sad,” Felix whispered and gently kissed his head. “Mama has happy tears because you’re so cute,” he cooed and Minho blinked at him. “Our cute little, sick baby,” he leaned down and started to kiss all over Minho’s face.

A squeal left Minho and his legs kicked out. “Unkkie, unkkie!” He shouted and tried to hide in Chan’s neck and hold so Felix couldn’t kiss him anymore.

Chan chuckled. He gently held Minho close. “Stop attacking him with kisses!” He shouted, proclaiming himself as Minho’s protector. He playfully pushed Felix away who was just as dramatic whilst Jisung watched with a fond smile.

But, it didn’t last for too long as Minho suddenly coughed harshly. He curled up in distress and Chan hushed him, quick to bounce him softly. Chan also rubbed his back as Minho whined, distressed.

“Okay, I reckon that’s enough play time,” Felix whispered. Chan agreed as Minho whined in pain from the coughs that wracked his body. “I reckon it’s time to have some cuddles with Dapa, no?” He whispered.

Jisung was bounding over in seconds when Minho nodded. “Come here, baby,” he cooed and smiled once Minho was snuggled up into his arm. “Thanks, hyung. You’re always helpful with Min. Thanks for checking up on us,” Jisung said as he got Minho into his arms.

The Little coughing again suddenly. Felix pats his back worriedly.

“If he’s not drinking milk, get him some water. He might need it if he’s not handling the thicker liquid,” Chan said and looked at Minho who was being gently rocked in Jisung’s arms. “Make sure you sleep lots, okay Min-Min?” He whispered and smiled.

Minho looked at Chan, his eyes half-open as Jisung’s soothing rocking, helped him calm down more and slowly settle. He slowly blinked and barely nodded. His already immense tiredness made him not even realize that he was about to be having a nap.

A small hum left Chan and he gently kissed Felix and Jisung’s head.

“Good luck with Minho. Text me if you need anything,” he told them both and gently pet Minho’s head as the little sleepily nuzzled into his touch. “I have to go back downstairs. I promised Hyunjin I wouldn’t be long,” Chan told them both with a smile as he went back downstairs.

He closed the door behind him with a silent click.

When Chan’s phone rang about an hour later, he couldn’t help but sigh. Hyunjin whined at the noise and kicked at Chan again, frustrated by the noise.

But, Chan picked up the phone when he saw it was Jeongin. He greeted the other with a cheery but quiet hello. Hyunjin’s eyes drooped once more as Chan gently rubbed his stomach to try and soothe him.

“Hey, hyung. How’s my puppy?” Chan had the phone pressed to his ear, and it rested on his shoulder. He hummed quietly as he was dealing with a very grumpy Hyunjin. It was way past Hyunjin’s regular nap time and Changbin had gone out to buy some more medicine for Minho as well as a couple of new Little toys.

The overtime for Hyunjin’s nap which they had gone over, was due to Chan having to help with Minho and prep the Little’s food. They all needed their snacks for later and the next few days so they wouldn’t get hungry or be afraid to ask for their snacks if their caregivers were busy.

So, Hyunjin was an hour over his nap time and he was overtired and didn’t want to sleep. Chan had to swaddle Hyunjin so he wouldn’t squirm away, hit Chan, or try to roll out of bed. Hyunjin’s long blonde hair was all messed up.

“Ah, hey Innie,” Chan said as he gently soothed Hyunjin who squirmed. “Seungmin’s okay. He’s still up,” he told him as Seungmin was rested on the couch, curled up under the blankets with his iPad. He was likely to fall asleep from that.

Jeongin hummed and Chan could hear the sound of him picking something up. “He might need a nap soon,” he said softly. “You said he was in a younger headspace, right?”

“Yeah, and I reckon he’s gonna crash soon,” he said as Seungmin was lying on the couch, his eyes drooping halfway shut. He sucked quietly on his pacifier and Chan knew he’d have to get the little one a blanket soon. “How was your vocal lessons?”

An annoyed huff. “It was fine. I just wanna get home to be with Seungmin.” He mumbled and Chan could hear the eye roll. “I know that we have to do the lessons sometimes even on breaks, but I so did not enjoy the lesson.”

Chan laughed quietly and smiled. “I’m sorry that your lesson wasn’t great,” he whispered and pressed his finger against the pacifier that Hyunjin had. The Little tried to push the pacifier out so that he could scream or cry.

“It’s okay, hyung. I can’t do much about it,” Jeongin mumbled. “I should be home in a few hours. I have a couple more things to grab for Seungmin. Do you need me to grab anything while I’m out?” He asked. Chan could hear the smile.

“No, Innie,” he said with a soft smile as Hyunjin whined. “We’ll be okay. Just get home safely. Changbin’s gone out to get some things, so I just need you home,” Chan told him quietly.

Jeongin heard the whine and huffed through his nose. “You didn’t put Hyunjin down for a nap on time, hyung?” He teased with a chuckle.

“Oh, you come home and look after 2 littles, plus dealing with a Minho meltdown,” Chan teased back and smirked. “Get home soon, Innie. I have to put Hyunjin down, he’s struggling,” he whispered as Jeongin laughed quietly.

But, they ended the call and Chan hushed Hyunjin who had tears in his eyes from how tired he was. Chan quietly hushed him and pulled Hyunjin’s long body up so he could hug him. Hyunjin whined loudly.

A quiet hush left Chan as he gently kissed his head. “I know baby, I know,” he whispered. “But, you’re tired. You need a nap or you’re gonna be grumpy,” Chan told him as Hyunjin whined and sniffled again.

Chan gently pulled Hyunjin’s pacifier out as the Little had something to say.

“But, Daddy. Don’t wanna sleep,” he whispered and leaned up to snuggle in more. “Wanna play and stay up with you,” Hyunjin mewled out but Chan could see how exhausted his baby was.

Hyunjin’s eyes drooped shut, then flicked back open. His head fell back but Chan caught it which made Hyunjin jolt awake again. A whine left him and Chan hushed him.

“Daddy’s not going anywhere,” Chan whispered and gently laid down with Hyunjin. Another whine left Hyunjin as Chan popped Hyunjin’s pacifier back into his mouth. Hyunjin gurgled and his eyes shut again.

Yet Hyunjin’s eyes didn’t open again and Chan cuddled him close. Hyunjin squirmed slightly like he always did when he wanted to try and wake up again. But, Chan held him in a tight hug and kept him close.

A smile graced his lips as he watched the pacifier happily bob up and down in Hyunjin’s mouth. Chan hummed and lay with Hyunjin for a few minutes. He played with his hair and pressed kisses to his head until he was certain Hyunjin was asleep.

Once Chan was sure, he pulled away. He gently kissed his head once more and headed over to Seungmin.

“Oh, puppy…” Chan whispered with a soft laugh as he walked over to see him crashed asleep, headphones still on, and his iPad still playing a video of a cartoon. He smiled as Seungmin’s cheek was smooshed against the couch and he looked adorable. His pacifier had fallen out of his mouth and a soft chuckle left Chan.

Chan cooed and took a picture of Seungmin. He hummed and gently took the headphones off, turned the iPad off, and popped Seungmin’s pacifier back into his mouth.

“Have a good sleep, puppy,” Chan whispered and grabbed a blanket off of the couch to chuck it over their puppy. He brushed Seungmin’s hair out of his face before he sighed in relief. He was so thankful that all the Littles were asleep.

He quickly started to clean the lounge up. All the toys thrown around the room had to be put away. Chan tried to be as quiet as possible, but he knew that they wouldn’t wake up and Minho had been dead to the world for a while.

Which is why he wasn’t surprised when Felix and Jisung finally came out of the room. They both looked tired, yet they also looked relieved.

“...How’s Minho?” He asked the pair as they walked over to him. Chan was surprised when he was hugged tightly by the pair suddenly. “Actually, how are you two?” Chan asked and played with their hair.

They didn’t say anything and Chan chuckled. He pulled them closer and let them snuggle in close. He knew that they were likely to be exhausted after Minho had put up such a fight today.

“Okay. We don’t need to talk about it,” he whispered and the pair nodded. “We’ll just cuddle and we can eat,” Chan told them softly, happy when the pair nodded at his suggestion. They could always go back into the room to sleep longer with their baby.

Felix looked half asleep as he nuzzled into Chan’s cheek. They went into the kitchen where Chan had made some lunch and diligently served some food to his younger members.

Jisung whined and they sleepily made their way to the couch. Chan hoped that the pair weren’t sick from being slept and cuddled with their sick little.

It was obvious the pair didn’t want to talk for now, at least. So, they ate in comfortable silence as Chan let the TV play. He knew the pair would need to go back up to Minho at some point so this was their time to relax where they could.

So, he let the pair relax and he kept an ear out for if Minho would wake up. It was nice and he couldn’t wait until everyone was home. Changbin was on his way home and Jeongin was supposed to be home soon.

But with how much Jeongin usually had to grab, he wouldn’t be surprised if Jeongin wasn’t back until the nighttime.

That wasn’t a bother at all, as long as Jeongin got home safely from his lessons.

Jeongin waltzed into the home, tired from his vocal lessons. His arms had bags and bags on his arms, filled with items. They were things needed in the household, the littles, and the caregivers. He hummed as he tried to be quiet but he knew there was no point.

He could hear the sound of Seungmin’s giggles as well as Hyunjin’s car noises that tumbled out of the little’s mouth. It was late into the evening as Jeongin had stopped to get food and his vocal lesson had gone on longer than expected.

But, he tried to quiet as he heard quiet sobs from upstairs that were clearly from an upset Minho.

“Dada!” Jeongin heard Seungmin’s voice before he saw him. So much for being quiet. The little’s taller body collided with him. Jeongin barely managed to set the bags down before he had to catch a very excited little in his arms.

Seungmin squealed. Jeongin nearly fell over but managed to stabilize himself. He had a very squirmy Seungmin who excitedly babbled as if he was trying to tell him everything in very few words.

“Whoa, whoa. Slow down, puppy!” Jeongin said with a small laugh. “It’s nice to see you again but Dada can’t understand you,” he cooed out and Seungmin huffed as he spat out his pacifier just to talk to Jeongin.

Thankfully, nothing fragile had been in the bags so it wasn’t a worry when he had to drop the bags down to catch his baby. “Now, what’s my puppy saying?” Jeongin asked with a soft smile and played with his hair.

Jeongin could smell dinner had been made. Which meant Chan was likely in the kitchen. He held Seungmin close as his puppy started to babble to him.

“Missed you, Dada,” he said with a pout and stared at him. “Gone all day,” Seungmin whispered. Jeongin cooed and held him closer, he’d have to take someone to get the bags for him.

He chuckled. “I missed you too,” he whispered and gently kissed his head. Jeongin chuckled as he held Seungmin close. “Jinnie!” Jeongin called out suddenly and the sound effects of a car stopped instantly.

Instantly, Jeongin heard feet rushing against the floor. “I.N!” Hyunjin’s cheerful voice called out and Jeongin cooed softly at the little. He knew they would’ve had a big day, being little.

“Hey Jinnie,” Jeongin smiled. “Could you be a big boy and help I.N take the bags to the kitchen to your Daddy?” He asked and Hyunjin perked up at the idea of being called a big boy because that meant praise.

Quickly, Hyunjin scrambled over. “Some are heavy. Don’t pick up any that are too heavy, mister,” Jeongin warned him. Hyunjin giggled with a bright smile before he nodded. Jeongin picked up a bag with his spare hand, the one he knew was the heaviest whilst he carried Seungmin with the other hand.

“Were you a good boy today, puppy?” He asked Seungmin. He had snuggled in close and wrapped his legs around Jeongin’s waist, like a good boy to help Jeongin hold him.

Jeongin made sure to watch Hyunjin as he picked up two bags. “Be gentle with them,” he told Hyunjin since he could be rough with most things if he wasn’t told to be careful.

“I was good, Dada,” Seungmin whispered and looked up at him to gently kiss his cheek. “Slept and ate. Had my dummy,” he told him quietly. Jeongin smiled and kissed his head whilst he followed Hyunjin.

Hyunjin huffed as he managed to get the bag into the kitchen. “Daddy,” he called out softly and Chan whipped around at the sound of his Little. Chan walked over with a smile to help Hyunjin pull up the bags onto the counter.

“Oh, is I.N, home?” Chan asked with a smile as Hyunjin nodded. He then looked up and saw Jeongin walk in with the other bags. “Hey Innie,” he whispered. Jeongin waved as he placed the bags down.

Seungmin continued to babble into his ear. “Hey, hyung,” Jeongin said as he gently rubbed Seungmin’s back. “How was Seungmin today?” He asked whilst he hiked Seungmin up into his arms more.

“Puppy was good, great. Very helpful and a good boy, like always,” he gently picked Hyunjin up as the Little asked to be picked up. “He’s been nothing but an angel,” Chan said with a smile.

Jeongin grinned and kissed Seungmin’s head. “Since you were a good boy, Dada can give you a gift,” he said with a smile and kissed his cheek. Seungmin squealed and kicked his legs in excitement.

“Gift?!” Jeongin heard Hyunjin shout and he laughed. Chan hushed him softly at his loud volume. “Gift, I want a gift! Daddy, gift!” He shouted and Chan hushed him again.

Chan sighed quietly. It sounded fond and Jeongin smiled back.

“Did you need any help with dinner, hyung?” He asked softly. When Chan shook his head, he gave a soft huff.

“I’m fine, Innie,” Chan said and smiled. “If anything, you could set the table. Dinner will be ready soon, we’ve gotta get these little ones fed and ready for bed. Felix and Jisung already ate and Minho needs sleep. So just us.”

Quickly, Jeongin nodded and kissed Seungmin’s head. “Ah,” Jeongin looked back up at Chan. “Go have a shower first so you’ll be ready for dinner. I’ll get Binnie to set the table and I’m sure Minnie would love the shower after he’s had such a messy day having fun.”

He seemed hesitant at first before he nodded and scurried off to go have a shower. He was thankful to be home. He missed being home and having snuggles with his puppy.

Even if he had only been gone for like 8 hours, it was still too long for Jeongin to be away from his dorm. He was glad to be back, he hated being away from his puppy.

Besides, he needed to give Seungmin a gift. He’d have to give Hyunjin a gift later too if the shouting from Hyunjin was any indication.

Yep. Nope. He needed to give a gift or Chan wouldn’t hear the end of it and neither would anyone else.

Lucky that they loved their Littles so much.

When Felix woke up to the soft noise of sniffling and sobbing, he was quick to jolt awake. He and Jisung had slept for a lot longer than intended, the sun had set and it was dark. He was sure everyone would’ve had dinner by now.

That would explain why Minho was crying. He was terrified of the dark.

Felix fumbled as he grabbed his phone. Jisung was asleep on the other side of Minho, Felix’s mind foggy as he turned his flashlight on, to stumble out of the cot they had left open so Minho had access to them at all times.

Quickly, he managed to flick on Minho’s night light. Stars appeared above on the roof and Minho’s sobbing and sniffling quieted down in seconds, devolved into small hiccups. Felix swooped down to get Minho in his hold.

His baby hiccupped and trembled. Felix should’ve turned on the night light before they even fell asleep, just in case they did sleep for so. Felix and Jisung had had a rough sleep with Minho sick, after all.

It was obvious Minho was feeling a lot of emotions. His breathing was ragged and he trembled in Felix’s hold.

“Shh, it’s okay, baby,” Felix hushed and tried to calm Minho down who took shuddering breaths of fear. “You can go back to sleep. Continue your nap baby, Mama’s here…” He whispered.

But, he knew this was going to be a fight when he felt Minho tense up. Jisung started to stir at the same time and Felix winced as he knew Jisung could tend to be a little snappy when he was woken up from a good sleep.

“But Ma…” He hiccupped and looked up at Felix. “No nap…no nee’ it…” He whimpered and kicked his feet out with a small whine. He was still tired and his eyes drooped with every second that ticked by.

He had no idea how long Minho had been awake just sobbing in the darkness. But, he intended to help him feel better.

Felix hummed and gently leaned down to kiss his head. “Yeah, well Mama says you need one,” he told him quietly. “You’re tired and grumpy, baby. But, more importantly, you’re sick,” he whispered. Minho scrunched his eyes up in frustration.

The light provided by the night light barely let Felix see their baby and he sighed tiredly as Minho sobbed at the idea of going back to sleep.

“Baby, you need to sleep,” he whispered as Jisung sat up and looked confused before he realized what was going on. “Mama and Da are here. We aren’t leaving and look,” Felix gently lifted Minho’s head to look up at the stars on the ceiling that had come from his night light.

Minho hiccupped as he looked up at them. “S’ars..” He whispered and reached out for them.

“That’s right, baby. Stars,” he cooed out at him and kissed his head. Felix gestured to Minho’s bottle, to a half-asleep Jisung.

Jisung sighed as he looked at Minho and knew their baby was just having it tough right now. He hummed and got up to grab Minho’s bottle for Felix. He heard Felix continue to reassure him and whispered that a bottle would help him sleep.

Of course, Minho protested it despite knowing it would help him sleep.

“It’s just a bottle, baby. We won’t leave you, Mama or Da will sleep with you…” Felix whispered and sat up in the cot to give him a bottle and try to ease Minho into the idea of having another nap.

Minho whined and shook his head. He tried to cling onto Jisung when he came back with his bottle but his mittens were in his way and he couldn’t grip onto him.

So, he decided to wrap his legs around Jisung’s waist instead when Felix went to move his legs and maneuver him into the proper feeding position. He shook his head again. “No nap,” he said with a whimper and a sob left him. “No nap!” He demanded. Felix hushed him and played with his hair.

“You need your bottle, baby. You need a nap, honey,” Jisung whispered and kissed his head as well. Minho sobbed and shook his head again.

A small sigh left Jisung. “Minho, baby. Why do you not want to nap again?” He asked quietly and played with his hair. “You’re all tired and sick, baby.”

“Won’ see Ma and Da and is dark,” Minho said with a small whimper. Jisung and Felix felt their hearts melt at Minho’s words. “Don’t nee’ nap…” He mumbled but rubbed at his eyes. His mittens collected his tears and he sobbed quietly.

Felix cooed and gently tugged Minho’s legs from Jisung’s body. “Yes, you do baby. You need to pick one of us. Would you like Da or Mama?” He asked quietly as he forced Minho’s legs to unhook. Minho was too weak from being sick to fight against him.

“Both?” He asked and stared up at them with the biggest puppy eyes he could ever give them. They were usually a sucker for his doe eyes going all shiny and big-eyed, but they had to be stern with this.

Minho would not get any sleep if they didn’t.

“Oh, baby,” Felix whispered. “You can only pick one of us. We have to get your other things ready, like your playpen, and your bedtime stories,” he whispered and had barely gotten Minho unwrapped from Jisung to hold him close. “And we need to go see how everyone else is and get you some medicine since you didn’t have enough of your bottle earlier today.”

Unfortunately for them. Minho wasn’t having any of it, he wanted both of them to be in bed with him.

He kicked and then he sobbed. He protested and screamed. Jisung bounced him to try and calm him down as he pulled him into a hug almost instantly. Minho’s screaming hurt his ear but Jisung dealt with it as he tried to calm their baby down.

It wasn’t working and Felix bit his bottom lip as Minho was truly having a hissy fit over this.

A small hush left Felix as he gently kissed his head and Minho sobbed loudly. “Mama! Mama! Wan’ both!” He cried out as tears rolled down his cheeks and Felix looked worriedly at Jisung.

Perhaps they should just ask one of the other members to do things for them. If they didn’t mind, they could deal with their baby who was only getting sicker by the second as he continued to cry and didn’t rest.

“Minho cut it out,” Jisung said and frowned. Minho wasn’t bratty much anymore since he settled in with Jisung and Felix, but he could get awful when he was sick like this. “You aren’t listening to Mama and Dapa. Do you want a timeout?” He threatened.

Felix’s eyes widened slightly at his words. “Baby, don’t say that,” he said as Minho didn’t appreciate punishments that much. Timeouts could completely barrel him out of his headspace because he felt unsafe and too unloved to be little anymore.

“You’re being too harsh. You know not to be too stern,” he told him as usually just a simple scolding was enough for Minho to behave, and if he did need a punishment, a small spanking or no teething toy was usually enough.

Jisung sighed quietly as Minho stared at him with some fear in his eyes.

“Right. I’m sorry, angel,” he whispered. “But, you need to be a good boy for us, Minho. Mama and Da are only doing what’s best for you,” Jisung told him, but it was too late. Minho was upset and started to cry harder. “So, please. Stop crying and have your bottle for us. It’s only half a bottle.”

Felix frowned more. “Stop it, Sungie. Our baby’s just having a hard time you’re being too harsh on him right now,” he whispered despite the light scolding from Jisung being normal for Minho.

The stress of being scolded, no matter how little, was enough to get their little spiraling. Jisung knew that. But, his caregivers arguing also put a ton of stress on his little one’s mind and caused Minho to cry harder.

Minho always blamed himself and thought that he was the reason they were arguing.

Both of them were tired and being woken up after lack of sleep wasn’t great. Plus, they tended to butt heads when they were this exhausted.

A noise left Minho, his crying getting harder and it was loud, nearly ear piercing as Felix and Jisung bickered softly over his head as Jisung pulled Minho closer to continue trying to calm him down.

Then Minho suddenly stopped making any crying noise. It surprised them both into silence and Felix stopped bouncing him to look at their baby, having pulled Minho back to look at him.

Suddenly, Minho’s breathing cut out, and his mouth was stuck open in a silent cry, eyes wide in shock and fear. Then it happened.

He held his breath.

Breath-holding spells.

Oh, god. It was a breath-holding spell!

Felix’s eyes widened and he quickly rushed to sweep Minho up into his arms properly.

Why did he have to have a breath-holding spell right now?

Sometimes when their baby had emotions too big and his screaming and crying didn’t seem to change what was upsetting him, he would suddenly start holding his breath. Babies did it all the time and their little one was no exception.

“Breathe, baby, breathe,” he whispered and Minho still held his breath. It wasn’t often that Minho did this, but it happened.

“Minho, breathe!” Felix pleaded quietly. “Mama’s here. It’s okay, try to breathe for me,” he whispered and begged quietly as these spells could very well make Minho pass out. “Come on, baby. Mama’s here to keep you safe. Breathe baby, breathe.”

Panic set into the room. Minho had breath-holding spells before, he used to do them when he still wasn’t used to being in his Little headspace around Felix and Jisung. His emotions got too big, he got overwhelmed and Minho passed out several times before they managed to get things in order and Minho could easily tell them things so he wouldn’t end up like this.

Minho’s leg kicked out and tears streamed down his cheeks. Minho was just stuck in place after he kicked his leg out. Frozen from the way his body wasn’t breathing and it refused to function, completely out of his control.

Jisung stared at Minho with wide eyes and glanced at Felix. He knew he couldn’t do anything.

Felix was usually the only one who would calm their baby down from a breath-holding spell. Felix smacked his hand against Minho’s back as their little’s mouth dropped open more to try and cry out in distress.

But, no sound came out, no breathing still and Felix was panicking slightly.

“I told you not to push him so far when he’s feeling this. You can’t scold him,” Felix said to Jisung with some panic. “You can’t just scold him willy-nilly. You know it distresses him,” he said and played with Minho’s hair.

Their little one’s eyes were glazed over and unfocused like he wasn’t there as his body forced him to hold his breath. Felix sighed to try and calm himself down. This was no time for him to panic. He smacked Minho’s back again as their little one still held his breath.

A frown was on Jisung’s lips. “I’m sorry, baby,” he whispered to Felix. “He normally listens if I’m stern with him.” He whispered and Felix gently smacked his hand against Minho’s back continuously to try and shock their baby’s system into breathing again.

“Yeah, I know,” Felix whispered and sighed. “But, our baby is sick. He’s feeling a lot of big emotions,” he told Jisung as he was starting to panic over the fact that Minho wasn’t breathing. “You can’t do what we normally do.”

“Baby, I’m sorry,” Jisung said and Felix scowled slightly but he nodded to acknowledge Jisung’s words. “If I had known it would spiral him into a spell like this, I wouldn’t have done it. I didn’t mean to.”

Felix glanced at him. He could not stay mad at Jisung, so he huffed at him instead.

“We can talk about it later. I need to get Minho breathing,” he whispered and pulled Minho back to see if his eyes were focusing on anything, but they weren’t. It was starting to panic Felix infinitely more as Minho’s face was turning pale. His lips were starting to turn blue already.

“Come on, Minho. I know you can do it for Mama,” Felix whispered and kissed his head. “You’re the bestest boy. Our darling angel. I know you can breathe again,” he mumbled as he looked at him with such a distressed look it made Jisung’s heart ache in pain at making their baby distressed.

Minho’s lips trembled, he could barely focus or see anything, but he could hear his Mama’s voice. Could hear the way his Mama wasn’t happy. Minho’s eyes clenched closed whilst he tried to scream, tried to breathe, anything to make his Mama, happy.

But, he just couldn’t.

He wanted to make his Mama happy!

Felix could usually get Minho to breathe with ease but Minho was just silently crying, trying to breathe as his lips were starting to look like a dark blue and his face was starting to turn blue as well.

God. Minho was going to pass out…

“Oh, god. He’s not breathing,” Felix whispered and gently started to bounce Minho as he sat down whilst he continued to try and get their baby to breathe. “Sungie, he’s not breathing! I-I can’t get him to breathe,” he mumbled and played with Minho’s hair as he still bounced him, his other hand continued to slap his back.

Jisung frowned, but he didn’t argue or try to distress Felix further. He moved closer to gently place kisses on Minho’s cheeks and whispered reassuring words to try and get him to calm down, to breathe again. To reassure him that he was safe.

“Fuck…” Felix whispered as tears sprung up in his eyes. He normally never swore around his baby, but he didn’t want Minho to pass out and it was obvious that Minho didn’t want to pass out either, he was trying to breathe if the clenching of his eyes was any indication as well as the slight twitching in his body.

So why wasn’t he breathing?!

They continued to try over and over to get Minho to breathe. Minho’s head started to tip backward as he was on the verge of passing out.

“Minho, breathe! Baby, please!” Felix pleaded as their combined effort wasn’t getting Minho to stop holding his breath. It wasn’t breaking the holding spell.

God. Why wasn’t Minho breathing?

Why wasn’t he breathing?!

Of course, it wasn’t the first time they had dealt with this, but it was the first time they were about to deal with Minho passing out in a long time.

Felix slapped his hand down onto Minho’s back, harder than any other hit as the panic was getting to him.

Minho’s eyes shot open at the harder-than-usual whack to his back which shook his body.

A wail tumbled out of his lips and Felix’s eyes widened. He quickly pulled Minho close as Minho took in a gasping breath and wailed harder.

“Oh, good boy! Good boy!” Felix cried out in pure relief that their baby was breathing again. Tears poured down Minho’s cheeks and he cried loudly. A soft coo left Felix as Jisung was rubbing Minho’s back, both of them reassuring and praising Minho for breathing again.

“M-M…Mama!” Minho cried out, wailing harder and Felix hushed him as snot was starting to go everywhere from how hard Minho was crying and they weren’t crocodile tears anymore. Felix held him close and hushed him quietly but Minho wasn’t calming down.

It was obvious their baby had been scared, terrified that he would pass out after years of not doing that. He had felt the panic from his caregivers and it continued to make him cry. Made him cry and wail his lungs out at an ear-deafening volume.

But, he was breathing and he was safe…

God. Felix didn’t know what he would do if Minho had continued to not breathe...

When a knock was on their door, it jolted the pair as they hadn’t expected anyone to come and see them. But, considering that Minho screamed the house down, it wasn’t that much of a surprise when the door opened and they were greeted with the sight of Chan again.

Felix frowned and looked at Chan, he explained before the oldest could even ask what happened. “He had a breath-holding spell,” he said as Minho’s stuttering breathing could be heard.

Now, being sick was one thing, but a breath-holding spell?

Minho hadn’t had a breath-holding spell in years. They were juggling a big problem with their normally most well-behaved Little. Even if he was in good hands with his caregivers, the extra hands could help.

“Did you two need anything?”

A sigh left Jisung. He looked tired and his eyes were filled with guilt. Something certainly happened. Before Jisung could answer, Felix answered.

“Actually, yes,” Felix said and Jisung looked at him with surprise. “Can you get medicine for Minho? He’s…going through a lot right now and he doesn’t want either of us to leave him. Even though he’s asleep,” he told him as Minho let out a soft whimper when Felix moved away.

Chan smiled. “Yeah, of course, I can,” he whispered as Felix adjusted Minho in his arms so that he could wipe his tears away. Minho whimpered again and when Jisung tried to move away to grab wipes, he stirred.

Quickly, Felix hushed him and played with his hair. “We aren’t going anywhere, baby,” he whispered and gently bounced him. Chan was a little concerned at how upset Minho was and how much he was clinging to Felix.

Honestly, he hadn’t seen Minho this clingy since the time Minho thought they were going to take Felix away from him.

It was hard enough back then and he was hoping it wouldn’t be too hard this time around as Minho was even clinging to Jisung.

“Hey, Min-Min,” Chan’s soft voice whispered and Minho hiccupped as if he could hear Chan’s voice in his sleep. “Hey there, buddy.” A soft smile was on Chan’s lips. “You feeling some big emotions?” He asked and Minho hiccupped again.

Jisung and Felix were surprised that Minho was responding so easily to Chan.

But, it also wasn’t that much of a shock as Chan was Minho’s favorite uncle, always the first person that Minho would crawl his way to if Jisung and Felix weren’t available. Just his voice and presence seemed to be enough for Minho to calm down.

“That’s okay, buddy. Emotions can be hard,” he whispered and Minho stirred more in his sleep.

That was Chan’s cue to stop poking at Minho and let him sleep.

“Is everything okay? Honestly,” Chan whispered as he played with Minho’s hair so he could focus on that and not the conversation going on above him.

Felix blinked before he nodded. “Yeah. It’s just- you know…Minho being sick is always hard on us,” he whispered since Minho rarely got sick. “He frightened himself with the dark, his breath-holding spell, and he doesn’t want to wear his mittens,” Felix explained briefly.

“I…” Felix briefly closed his eyes and Jisung held his hands. “I was scared,” he admitted, and Chan was glad Minho wasn’t awake, so the little one wouldn’t see Felix being so upset. “I thought he was going to pass out. I know it’s normal and it’s usually harmless, but it scared me. He wasn’t breathing and I just- I just wanna be a good Mama for him.”

Chan’s eyes widened at his words and Jisung hugged Felix close so he wouldn’t suddenly start crying.

“Felix…” Chan whispered and his fellow Aussie shook his head. “Hey, no. You need to hear me,” he whispered and Jisung played with Felix’s hair. “You’re a wonderful Mama for Minho. He wouldn’t have accepted you as his Mama and primary caregiver if he didn’t trust you if he didn’t love you and think you wouldn’t be able to handle him.” Felix let out a soft hiccup as Jisung pulled him even closer.

A soft hum left Chan. “And I’m sure Minho likes his Da too,” he said and Minho gurgled out as if he could sense Felix was upset. “He trusts you both. He loves you and you’re an amazing Mama and Da for our little angel,” Chan whispered as he bounced Minho lightly in his arms.

“He loves you both,” Chan said as he looked at Felix. “Don’t ever doubt his love for you. He loves you both immensely and you’re the perfect caregivers for him, don’t ever doubt that.”

Jisung smiled. “Hyung’s right,” he said and gently leaned over to peck Felix’s lips. “You’re the perfect Mama for him,” Jisung told him and Felix sniffled quietly.

Minho loved Felix and no matter what, their baby would always come back to his Mama.

“You think so?” Felix asked quietly, both Chan and Jisung smiled at him, reassuringly. He was perfect for Minho and would always be his Mama.

As Felix stared at Minho, he smiled. Their baby meant the world to him and Jisung.

Even if he had the worst day in the world, even if he was bad, or he was fussy. Even if Minho burned down the entire world, Minho always had a place in Felix’s arms.
