It's quite frequent now that Phoenix lets Kristoph Gavin pay his bills or drive him through the rain or that he finds himself so miserable he'll drink himself all the way to his couch. It isn't particularly enjoyable to rely so heavily on him, but it's so convenient Phoenix can hardly claim he dislikes it, either.
