Activities - What are their favorite things to do with you? How do you spend your free time?

• He likes to workout with you. If you’re not a fan of working out he at least likes your company while he does.

Boo! - How do they feel about surprises, giving and receiving?

• He’s not a fan of surprises.

Comfort - How do they comfort you when you’re upset? When the tables turn, do they come to you, or do they try to handle it themselves?

• He’s not great at the whole comfort thing, but he tries. He hates to see you upset and it bothers him that he doesn’t always know how to handle things when it happens. It’s just hard for him to drop that gruff exterior.
• When he gets upset, he’ll usually try to handle it himself, but you can usually tell when something is bothering him and talk to him about it.

Dance - Do they like to dance with you? How good of a dancer are they?

• He’s not much of a dancer but he likes to watch you dance.
• There are a few times when the two of you are at home that he’ll dance with you in the kitchen if you have music playing while making dinner or something.

Excitement - How do they act when they’re excited? What excites them?

• Smoker doesn’t act any differently when he’s excited.

Future - What are their plans for the future? Do they see themselves getting married, having kids?

• Marriage was something Smoker never really thought about before. He didn’t think it was for him, but that was until he met you.
• As far as kids go, he doesn’t really want them.

Gifts - What do they give you as presents? How often do they get you gifts?

• He likes to give you practical gifts that he knows you’ll use. He doesn’t see the point in getting you something that is just going to sit around.

Hold - How do they hold you? Cuddling, sleeping, holding hands…

• When he holds you his hands are calloused and firm, but there’s always a certain care to it.

Ideal - What’s their ideal date like?

• He’s a fan of simple dates like going out for a cup of coffee.

Jealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they handle it?

• You were surprised to learn that he’s not really the jealous type.

Kisses - How do they like to kiss you? How frequently do you kiss?

• He’ll usually only kiss you when others aren’t around. Because of that his kisses are usually quick unless he knows the two of you are alone.

Love - How do they show you that they love you?

• Smoker is a busy man, but he always makes time for you. He knows you understand the demands of his job, but the last thing he wants is to make you feel like he’s neglecting you.

Melt - What do you do that absolutely makes them melt?

• You light his cigars for him. It’s a simple gesture but he adores it.

Nicknames - What do they call you, and what are their favorite things to be called?

• He’s not really a fan of cute nicknames, but he has taken a liking to you calling him lover.

Obvious - How obvious do they make it that they like you?

• He’s not that obvious about it, at least not to you. You didn’t start to pick up on it until a few Marines pointed out that he always seemed to pay more attention to you.

Pets - Do they have pets? Do they want them?

• If he were to have a pet it would probably be a dog. Something like a Bulldog or Dobermann.

Quiet - How are the calm, quiet moments with them?

• They are some of his favorite moments. His life as a Marine can be chaotic so being able to share those quiet moments with you is a wonderful break from it all.

Romance - How romantic are they? What are their go-to ways of being romantic?

• He’s not the most romantic person in the world, but he tries.

Safe - What makes them feel safe and comfortable around you?

• He knows you always have his back regardless of what life throws at the two of you.

Tend - How do they act when you’re hurt or sick, and vice versa?

• He hates it. He knows there’s only so much he can do, that your body just has to take time to heal, but he’ll do what he can to make sure you’re comfortable.
• When he gets hurt or sick it always starts with him giving you the tough guy act. He’s fine and doesn’t need any help. At least that’s how it is until you start giving him extra attention.

Unique - What’s an unusual thing about them that’s oddly charming?

• He always smells like smoke and not just the smoke from his cigars. It’s mostly from his devil fruit and oddly enough its become the smell of home.

Variety - Do they prefer to keep things the same, or spice it up?

• Not surprisingly he usually prefers routine, but if you mention spicing things up he is open to trying new things.

Wash - What’s it like taking a bath with them, or helping them wash up after a fight?

• Taking a bath with you is one of the few times during his day where he feels like he can relax.

XO - How do they show you affection? How much PDA are they willing to show?

• He’s not a fan of PDA. After all, he’s got a reputation to uphold.

Yearn - What do they do when they miss you?

• Usually when Smoker is missing you the Marines can tell because it is very easy to agitate him.

Zzz - How do they act when they get sleepy? How is it sleeping in the same bed?

• When Smoker gets tired, he just goes to bed. However, if you’re still up he’s always sure to give you a kiss goodnight.
• When it comes to sharing a bed, he’ll cuddle with you for a bit until you’re both ready to actually go to sleep. Then he’ll move to his side of the bed.
