Anytime the Polar Tang had to dock at an island to restock on supplies was a great time. It was always nice to get off the submarine for a bit and get some fresh air. Most of the crew was quick to get off the sub, but I hung back to wait for Law.
“Ready to go yet?” I asked as I leaned in the doorway of his room.
Law, like always, was at his desk with his attention wrapped up in some medical book. He looked up when he heard me speak.
“What?” He asked.
“We docked like twenty minutes ago,” I said.
“Oh, sorry,” he says. He marks his page in his book and joins me at the door. “Did the rest of the crew leave already?”
“Yeah, I think so,” I said.
The two of us made our way out of the Polar Tang. Once we were outside I couldn’t help but look around in a bit of awe.
“What are you looking at?” Law asked when he noticed.
“The snow,” I said. “It’s snowing.”
“And?” He asked.
“I’ve never seen snow before,” I said.
“Wait, really?” He asked, a touch of amusement in his voice.
“Yes, really,” I said. “I’m originally from Alabasta. There’s no snow there, just sand.”
I held my hand out, watching the snowflakes fall on it. I glanced over at Law who was watching me with a subtle smirk on his face.
“Stop looking at me like that,” I said.
“You’re adorable,” he said.
“I’m just excited,” I said. “I’ve always wanted to see snow.”
“Well, come on, let’s go for a walk so you can really enjoy it,” he said.
