Summary
It was only supposed to be one time.
A moment of weakness that he would defend every time, if he was ever asked. That was how Lawrence continued to excuse it, until he couldn't any longer. Small moments, like an uncertain head tilt while the orderly swept the floors or checked fluids in the IVs. A flash of a grin when he asked the doctor a question regarding a patient. Long hours of work leaving them both exhausted and vulnerable. He never intended to brush his fingertips against the other's leg, or for it to go any further, but it did.
