A Tiger Lily is a beautiful flower

Summary:

Everyone has a past, but Sonic doesn't want to share his. Maybe that’s a good thing for his own sake. But when chaos readings show up on Tails’ computer, they have to find what they are thinking could be chaos emeralds. But things go crazy, like they always do might I add, and Sonic’s past gets revealed. Let’s just hope this team can save mobius again after an old evil has returned that only Sonic, Uncle Chuck, and.. Eggman? knew about.

Notes:

HIIIII AGAIN!! Sorry, this is a rewrite of my old fic Tiger Lilies, that i have officially discontinued because i wrote it wrong. I hope you can forgive me. While ive been away trying to think of ways to write this story, it’s changed a lot, so if you’ve read the old version you will notice a lot of changes to the story i was going for. Also, idk if i will be updating a lot seeing as i’m trying to graduate high school this year so my focuses have been on work. Only reason I’ve started on this story now is because of the snow in the southern states got so I’ve been out of school for a week.

Anyways i hope you enjoy the story and feel free to give constructive criticism in the comments. Kudos help me keep motivated!

ENJOY!

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: The start of it all

Chapter Text

There was a commotion on the island, mobians of all different species running around, trying to get away from the water rushing towards them. Parents carrying their children close, mothers ushering their child to the docks. A cyan streak ran through the villages, helping villagers get out of houses. They ran, avoiding the water as best they could, towards a house on the outskirts of the village in a clearing.

“All the villagers at the docks?” An older blue hedgehog with a grey mustache and grey quills sprinkled with the rest of his lighter blue ones asked.

“Yeah, they are waiting for the G.U.N. boats. Did the commander respond?” Responded a cyan hedgehog with a tuft of cobalt blue fur on her forehead that take the shape of bangs, her head of cyan quills sprinkled with a few of blue quills. Her ears were adorned with two gold earrings in one and one gold ring in the other, the spot where the second ring would’ve been was replaced with a notch that has been scarred over.

“So far not yet,” He shook his head “the armadillo family had a small boat of their own that they took on the other side of the island, though.”

“Good, we just need G.U.N. to answer.” The younger scratched at the back of her neck where her brown bandana was tied.

“Nick!!!” A small blue hedgehog ran towards them in a blur and hugged the cyan hedgehog.

“Sonic, I thought you were helping Unk get the plane ready?” Nick hugged the kid back.

“I was but I heard you talking and knew you were back from helping the villagers.” He stepped back to look up at her, his brown eyes showing speckles of emerald as his ears wilted a little to the question.

Nick smiled gently and ruffled his quills, chuckling when she gained a surprised yelp from the younger one from the sudden action. “Just stay by Uncle Chuck, lillebror.” Her emerald eyes looked into chocolate, sisterly love radiating from her smile. “I want you to be careful, and listen to him. I-“

A loud boom came from behind them, and when they turned to look, they saw the watery figure of a giant koala standing on a water spout in the middle of the ocean causing all the villagers at the docks to scream.

“Go with Uncle Chuck to the tornado, i need to get the emeralds.” Nick gently, but firmly, grabbed her little brother’s shoulder to get his attention away from the tower of water and turned to him, hating the scared look on his face.

“We only have four of them!” She heard her uncle’s surprised claim as she looked to the older hedgehog, a fierce look of determination in her emerald eyes.

“I can still use them, we’ll just need to hurry.” She looked to the older hedgehog, and grinned. “You know I like to challenge myself.”
