They both stood in front of her, it has been 12 years since all three of them were together again and it's been two years since they Paramount War and here they both stand. Granted they were both arguing it was still Ace and Sabo. "Z-Zoro, I'm not dreaming right?" she asked him.
"No, no you're not." he confirmed with a light smile before lightly pushing her forwards.
She looked at him before ran over to them. Both Ace and Sabo thought they were going to be tackled to the ground when instead they both got a quick and hard punch which instead sent them to the ground.
"Oi Luffy! What the hell was that for!" Ace and Sabo shouted.
"Shut up! You're both idiots!" she shouted at them. This caused both the brothers to pause, and the crew quietly watched. "You disappeared for 12 years" she shouted pointing at Sabo then she turned to Ace "And you supposedly died protecting me, when I was too weak!" she shouted. Luffy was blunt, if anyone should know that her brothers should know first-hand how blunt she could be, but it still made them flinch.
"Just stop trying to die! Then suddenly reappear! I can't take it anymore." Luffy told them when there was a crack in her voice both Sabo and Ace rushed forward and grabbed her pulling her into a tight hug. "Please don't leave again." she said.
The excitement settled and Ace and Sabo were both sitting on the Sunny's deck offering to help out but were immediately shut down by the crew. They spotted Zoro and Luffy discussing something, but they weren't exactly sure what.
"Somehow, I still have my devil fruit to. I'm not entirely sure how though?" Ace commented.
"Yeah, I remember eating the Mera Mera no mi, so you had to have died or your body was so close to death that your devil fruit thought you died." Sabo commented.
"I'm not entirely sure but I'm willing to work it out later." Ace simply said before watching the rest of the crew.
"You met them in Alabasta right?" Sabo asked.
"Yeah, at the time it was just Luffy, Zoro, Usopp, Nami, Sanji, and Chopper. Then you met them at Dressrosa?" Ace asked.
"Yeah, and when I met them, half the crew went to Zou and the other stayed to fight off Doflamingo. When I met up with Luffy again, I met Zoro, Usopp, Franky, and Robin." Sabo responded. "She said she finally got the musician she wanted though I was not expecting it to be a skeleton." he added.
"It's super cool though!" Ace grinned.
"Yohoho! I'm flattered Ace-san. Apologies, I didn't mean to eavesdrop on your conversation. Except I don't have any ears! Skeleton joke! Yohohoho!" Brook said.
Ace chuckled a bit as Sabo shook his head with a smile. "Luffy has been talking about a musician forever!" Ace told him.
"Ironically, Brook was the last one to join the crew." Nami told them.
"Everyone, our new bounty posters are here." Robin smiled bringing them over.
"Oh! Let me see! Mine had to go up!" Chopper cheered.
"New bounties?" Ace asked.
"We freed the Wano-Kuni, and Luffy kicked Kaido's ass as Torao and Kid beat Big Mom." Franky told him.
"You fought Kaido!?" Ace yelled shaking her shoulders.
"Yes! I won didn't I." Luffy sassed crossing her arm looking at him looking at him.
Ace stared at her for a moment, before sighing.
"You should have seen the papers when she went into Big Mom's territory." Sabo pointed out.
Ace turned back to her again. "You're the one that is going to kill me before anything else." the small comment got him two swift punches from both Luffy and Sabo.
"What is this!? Only 900 beli! It's so small!" Chopper stated angry about the number on the poster.
The groups went through each of their posters. Sabo took notice that Robin, Franky, and Brook were excited about the numbers on their posters while Nami and Usopp were freaking out.
Sabo and Ace both looked at each other before they looked over at Zoro, Jinbei, and Sanji as Luffy sat down in between her brothers.
“They’ve already recognized me as a member of the Straw Hats.” Jinbei commented looking at the poster.
“Of course, you cause as much trouble there as well.” Zoro commented.
Luffy laughed a bit as she saw Sanji peek over Jinbei’s shoulder and immediately fall to the ground.
“Sanji-kun! Are you alright?” Jinbei asked slightly panicked.
“Don’t worry he is fine.” Zoro smirked. “He’s just now in fourth place.” he said holding up his own bounty poster.
Ace choked slightly, “1.111 billion! That’s higher than even Luffy’s bounty!” he said.
“Wait, you haven’t seen Luffy’s bounty yet?” Nami asked him confused.
Ace shook his head and looked at Nami slightly shocked. The navigator handed him the poster followed by the newspaper.
“Shishi.” Luffy laughed sheepishly when she heard them both choke.
“3 billion and an Emperor of the Sea!” Sabo yelled.
“Higher than both yours and Ace’s combined.” She told them.
“You little shit.” Ace grumbled before smiling. “Our little sister is becoming a great pirate.” he said ruffling her hair.
“Shanks said the same thing!” Luffy grinned.
“You saw Shanks? What about your promise?” Sabo asked.
Luffy shrugged a bit. “Shanks said I can see him whenever I want, but I can still fight him soon. I have to return his hat anyways! When I become a great pirate.” Luffy told them.
Ace and Sabo smiled a bit at the comment before turning to the brawl between Zoro and Sanji with Jinbei trying to break it up. Zoro had a smug look on his face while Sanji looked ready to kick his head clean of his shoulders. At least that was before Nami came over and smacked the two over the head.
“That woman is terrifying.” Ace muttered.
“Really?” Sabo asked.
Both Ace and Luffy nodded their heads and Sabo snorted a bit.
Luffy glanced over while she was talking to Zoro and Robin Nami and Usopp were talking to Ace and Sabo with an evil look on their faces. She wasn’t really sure what it was all about at least that was before her brothers quickly turned their heads to her with glares.
Then she looked at Nami and Usopp, who were grinning away at her.
"Fufu, good luck Zoro.” Robin lightly said gently patting his shoulder.
“Good luck?” he asked.
The two older brothers were suddenly over with Luffy and Zoro. A sweat drop appeared as Luffy watched her overprotective brothers interrogate her swordsman. Ace first me the crew he was polite and even more patient than normal, but Luffy knew better than anyone that if regarded her, he his personality would do a complete 180.While Sabo on the other hand tended to be a little more intimidating than Ace because he stayed calm the entire time.
While Zoro wasn’t threatened by her brothers, he was careful about what he said to them.
Though, Sabo paused for a moment. “You said back in Dressrosa that you treasure her happiness more than anything, right?” Sabo asked him.
Zoro simply nodded at his question then Ace looked at him before shrugging. “I guess she’s in one piece, so you’ve protected her.” Ace told him.
“Shishi, I told you Zoro’s the best.” Luffy smiled at them.
“Why didn’t you tell us!?” both yelled.
Luffy looked at them with a deadpanned expression. “Really?” She asked.
The older two mouth formed into a straight line and being slightly embarrassed before nodding their heads.
“Well, I guess all I have to say since I didn’t get to say it before, if you ever hurt her, I’ll burn you alive.” Ace threatened.
“I agree.” Sabo stated.
“I would kill myself first before ever thinking about hurting her.” he declared to both the brothers.
“We’ve lost him completely.” Usopp commented.
“Yup, completely gone.” Franky joined. “I told you man; he is like a lost puppy.”
“Shut up!” Zoro shouted at the sniper and shipwright turning slightly red in the face.
Ace and Sabo shook their heads. “Can’t help but agree with them.” Sabo shrugged.
“Shishi.” Luffy laughed also slightly flustered.
Ace and Sabo both smiled watching the cyborg and sniper laugh at their embarrassed swordsman while their sister couldn’t stop smiling watching them. Even when they were out of the picture, Luffy was still being taken care of, and she wasn’t alone, and it’d never be that way again.
