Mari had been thinking about things one night, things Mari had never considered until now, but now was glad to of realised. Mari wanted to use ‘star’ as a pronoun, not just ‘she’ but ‘star’ as well. Thats was Mari wanted and what star wished to be called. Not just that, but after some research, she had found a gender that star now wished to consider starself, and that was Astrumgender, she’d felt so connected to the stars and constellations ever since Mari had been a little girl, they’d been stars only comfort during the tough times. All Mari had to do now was decide who star wanted to tell first, and how she was going to tell them.
Firstly, Mari decided to invite those star to choose to tea, so now it was just a choice of who. An obvious first choice was Mari’s younger brother, Casimir, often called Meta by others. Not only was he one of the most important people in stars life to begin with, but he was also a very accepting and understanding figure. Then there was also his spouse Aurora, commonly nicknamed Fomey, they were an easy pick too, as Fomey was genderfluid and just as accepting. Fomey sometimes used xenogenders at times, depending on how xe felt that day and if anything felt fitting to it that day, in fact it was Fomey who first brought xenogenders to Mari’s attention and understanding. Sure, Mari didn't know how to do maths or how to write very well, but Mari understood who star was and what she wanted.
Mari’s next choices were Serena and Felice, star was closed to the two of them, even having crushes on both at one point. But in the end Mari had chosen to date Serena, her favourite of the two, there was just something different about Serena that Felice lacked.
Today was the tea, and Mari had felt a little nervous, yet excited about it all, star choose to just wait a moment for everyone to settle down a bit first. Serena and Felice were both wearing nice dresses, Felice’s was a baby blue while Serena’s was red. Abaddon had also joined was wearing his purple cloak, and Fomey also had a suit, this one purple and white and xer hair was up in a fluffy bun and xe lacked the normal false lashes. Meta Knight was wearing his armour.
“Why is Meta wearing his armour?” asked Felice.
“Well, he has to start work as soon as we get back, so it saves him time and lets us stay longer!” Fomey explained to Felice.
“Oh, also Fomey, what pronoun are you feeling today?” Mollie asked.
“Oh! Why thank you for asking Mollie. To answer that, I would say Xe/Xer!” Fomey replied, a big smile on xer face.
“Do any of you know why Mari brough us here?” Abaddon asked everyone else.
“Well, I’m unsure exactly, but I know it's something very important to Mari.” Meta said. “Also did Mari even invite you?” He asked Abaddon .
“I. Live. Here.” Replied Abaddon . Fomey muttered away to xemself. Seeing this Mari decided to move before anything else got out of hand.
Mari entered the room with everyone else, Mari herself was wearing a purple dress covered in white and yellow stars, with a matching bow in her hair.
“Hi everyone! I hope you’re all doing well, as you may know, I invited the four, now five of you to tell you something that's extremely important to me, and about me. I wanted to come out to you all as Xenogender, specifically Astrumgender, feeling a deep connection to the stars, and as well as that, I go by she/star now! I hope you all can accept me.”
Everyone (expect hex because he has no mouth) had a gentle smile appear. Serena was the first to stand up, going over to Mari and giving star a hug.
“Awwwh! Honey, we’ll always be here to accept you for being yourself.” Serena told Mari, before giving star a gentle kiss on the head. “Well done for being brave enough to tell us, you’ll always be a wonderful star to us all!”
“Serena’s right Mari, we will always be here to support you with being yourself! As long as you're not causing undeserved harm to people, then we’ll all be happy to help!” Added Felice, giving Mari a quick hug after Serena was finished giving star one.
“Mari you’ve always been a wonderful big sister, and you still are! And you deserve to be happy through whatever makes you happy, and if being Astrumgender and going by ‘star’ makes you happy, then that's what you deserve to be called.” Meta told Mari, who gave him a smile back and the two hugged.
“If you ever have problems with anyone being mean to you, just let me know and I’ll sort it.” Fomey mentioned, rubbing Mari on the head, star knew what xe meant by that. Abaddon wasn’t as close to Mari, so he had no desire to go over to show affection, but he still wished to express his acceptance as well.
“I’m just happy your being yourself Mari, since that’s the most important thing here. If anything, it is nice to see you actually understand things for once.” Abaddon told star, who gave a smile back. “I’ll tell you what, if you help out a bit more, I’ll get you a flag.” He added.
“Really?” Asked Mari, getting excited, to which Abaddon nodded. Everyone else was quite shocked to see hex be this nice. “Alright!!! I promise I’ll help out!” Mari said.
The six of them all sat down to enjoy some tea and snacks, while having a nice plesant chat at the same time. When the time came, they said goodbye and those who had somewhere to go left.
