Before her hand touched hers, Sorsha's voice echoed. “Kit, come here!” Kit groaned and shook her head. “Kit!”
“You should go,” Kit withdrew her hand and stood up, she says. “We'll meet again and become friends.” She dusted her pants off and jogged up to her mother.
Jade watched as she ran up to her mother with a huff.
That was the first and last time Jade saw Kit for the next fifteen years and now when she was here to meet her it's not to become friends.
