Chapter Text
New country, new city, new you. Brooklyn New York, couldnt be any more diferent that your old life before you went away, moving in with your aunt Maja for a new, fresh start. Of course, the deshision wasn't up to you. The real reason of you moving away being problems happening at home. Still, why did you have to move to a whole other continent because of it?
-„Cobble Hill, Brooklyn“-,the voice on the speaker snaps you back from your thoughts. Cobble Hill isn't your destination , you are on your grand way to the prestigious Brooklyn Visions Academy, another one of your parent's bright ideas. You sigh, looking at your phone, it’s 5:14. The tram should be here any minute. You look at your pink suitcase before checking your phone again. 5:16, it should have gotten here a minute ago, did you miss it? First day and a mess-up already, great. 5:17, where.is.it?
-„The trams here are never on time, huh?“-
You snap back from your thoughts again, this time because of someone talking to you. You look over, it's a young woman, looks around your age. Blonde-short hair with pink ends and an eyebrow piercing, a band t-shirt and a vest over it, oh and bracelets, aloot of them. Wow, she's cool
-„Oh, are they? It's my first time here so I couldn't tell you“-
-„First time in Brooklyn?“-
-„First time in America“-
-„Realy?“- she asks suprised –„And you're traveling all alone? Not scared someone will rob you or something?“-
You laugh, feeling more relaxed. –„The only valuable thing I have with me is my ten year old computer which starts to overheat whenever I open google, honestly I would feel sorry for the person robbing me“-
You both laugh, resulting in you getting weird glances from other people. The fun gets shut down by your train finaly ariving. You grip your suitcase and look up at the girl again, she catches on and smiles.
-„Well, it was nice meeting you. Hope to see you again some time, foreginer!“-
You laugh- „You too.“
You enter the tram and sit down, taking out your earphones and putting on some cheesy Artic Monkeys album in the hopes of drowning out people's chatter. The noise isn't what you are used to, especialy in public places. All of this is so new and so dull. You look at your phone, 5:21. The train finaly get's going. You sigh, looking at your suitcase again. The colour reminding you of the girl. Maybe it isn't all bad…should have you asked her for her snap? Fuuuck…
