Chapter Text

It’s been 3 months since Izuku had been taken from the hospital with no signs of recovery. Inko was slowly starting to accept that she might never see her son's smile and bright eyes.

Knocking came through the door.

“You can come in, it’s just me in here.” Inko said from her spot next to Izukus bed. Dabi opened the door and stepped in but stayed standing next to it, quietly. After a few minutes Inko looked up at him, eyebrows raised in a questioning manner, as if to ask why he was here at all.

“I think that I might have a solution for this, you know.” Dabi hasn’t looked up yet and he held himself a bit smaller than usual.

“Well what is it then?”

“I need you to promise me that no matter what, we will be safe after everything” We? At this point Inko was ready to promise anything if it meant that Izuku had a chance of waking up. If Dabi knew anyone other than the shady doctors Hisashi worked with who could help, then nothing was a price too big.

“Well my daughter-”

“Daughter?”

“Step-daughter. Anyways, she has a quirk that can rewind living and nonliving objects and she could help as long as Aizawa is there to ensure that she doesn’t go too far.” That sounded too good to be true, there had to be a catch.

“Why would you need safety then? The other parent wouldn’t approve?” Dabi wasn’t stupid, Inko knew this. If he was asking something like this, it had to be serious. Though in Inkos opinion he wouldn’t even have to ask for safety, every friend of Tomuras was welcome in her house.

“Try being a leader of a Yakuza, trying to make quirk erasing bullets with her DNA and experimenting on me to see how I’m still alive after everything and you might get closer.” Oh he was opening up as well, yeah she had to do something about this. To get a person like Dabi to open up about anything was like pulling teeth from a small child, so for him to do it willingly made this officially a top priority.

Inko leaned forward in her seat and her face had that look in it that made people cover in fear.

“Tell me everything dear.”

Toga had never thought that her quirk would come in handy when saving someone, her parents and counsellors had all seemed to agree with it as well. Now though, she was transformed as some random Yakuza member and walked with Dabi to his daughters(!!!!) room. While Dabi had that older brother kind of vibe and certainly did act like that towards her sometimes, she didn’t know if she trusted him to be an actual parent. But people can always surprise her! The most important thing right now was that this daughter (that she had no idea existed until now) needed to be saved so that Inkos son could be fine again and that Dabi and this daughter needed to be kept safe. ( She was very good at keeping things safe, Himiko had fast reflexes and Spinner had taught her how to sharpen her knives so now they were extra ready for anything that was coming near her family. )

Soon they stopped in front of a door and Dabi started to fish out a key for it.

“Remember that she doesn’t see much more people than me and Chisaki so she might be frightened of you for a bit.” Himiko didn’t care, she was so ready to become a big sister for this girl that she was this close to meeting.

Dabi opened the door. Inside was a large room that was mostly coloured with white and some greys. There was a large bed against one of the walls and a small table with two chairs in one of the corners. Outside of the dresser, the room looked like the barest and most uncomfortable childrens room Himiko has ever seen. And in the middle of the bed there was a tiny 5 year old girl with white curly hair, the sweetest red eyes and a horn on her hair. That must be Eri then.

“Hey darling, can you come here please. I promise you that nothing will happen.” Himiko can't think of a single situation where she had heard Dabis' voice be as gentle as it just was. The girl looked at them and seemed to brighten when seeing Dabi. She jumped down from the bed and ran to hug him. If Himiko thought that Dabi was small for an adult man, then his daughter had to be small as well but to see her being engulfed by Dabi’s body really was different from what she had imagined.

“Whose this Bibi?” Bibi? That was so cute!

“This is Himiko. She’s going to help us out of here and somewhere else.” This was her chance. Himiko dropped down to her knees so that she was on the same level as Eri was.

“Hi! Oh you’re just so cute! I cannot wait until we’re home and I can get you the cutest dresses!” Eri didn’t look too convinced but because Dabi wasn’t acting like they were in danger, she can act nice with the blonde girl.

The building began to shake and some dust fell from the walls. That must be Tomura’ sign. Dabi scooped Eri up into his arms and Himiko drank blood to transform back into the Yakuza member she was earlier. After that all three of them left the room and started to make their way out. They couldn't run because Dabi's lungs weren't in great condition so they walked as fast as possible to the closest exit out of the building.

When they got out Kurogiri’s portal was there waiting for them. Either Tomura had gotten out already or he was still destroying the building. Either way they weren't going to wait for him, not when they were so close to succession.

After Eri had been fed and she had gotten a much needed nap, Bibi came to talk to her. He explained to her how the nice lady had a son who had been asleep for a long time now and that they were hoping that she was willing to try and use her quirk to wake him up. When she seemed hesitant Bibi assured her that there was a man who could make sure that her quirk wouldn't work as long as he looked at her. He also said that if she really didn't want to do it, it was fine and that they could still stay here and that these people weren't like Dad who only wanted her when she had her quirk.

But Eri liked these people. It was obvious to her that her Bibi was happier here than he ever was with Dad and she liked it when he was happy. The food was better as well, she was allowed to take naps and the lady who she met earlier gave great hugs! If that lady was sad because her own son was asleep then Eri would try her best to make him wake up!

The boy was lying in a large bed and had all kinds of machinery connected to him, one of them even made beeping sounds. There was a shaggy looking man sitting in a chair on the other side of the bed from where Eri was. Bibi was holding her shoulders in comfort. Eri took the boy's hand and closed her eyes. She would really try her best here!

As Eri started to glow, some features on Izuku's face started to morph. The few greyish hairs in his hair reverted back, his face got the baby fat back in it. When it seemed like enough was done, Aizawa used his quirk to stop Eri and Dabi picked her up to take her for another nap.

Inko held her breath. If this worked then Inko was going to be forever in depth to Dabi and little Eri.

Izuku's finger twitched. The room was silent. He opened his eyes.

“... mom?”
