They had lived their lives in front of a camera, one way or the other. Alec Lightwood had grown from promising young actor to A-list celebrity, to internationally-renowned director and producer. At thirty-four, he had several awards to his name, and had been on sabbatical for the last three years following the success of his last movie. Magnus Bane, on the other hand, was the biggest singer, songwriter, and artist of his generation, coming off of the high from his latest wildly successful world tour.
There was nothing that linked them together other than a brief time wherein Alec had directed a number of Magnus' music videos. For all the public knew, they had little more than a professional relationship. And yet, Alec had access to every single one of Magnus' residences, and Magnus knew he had a designated room in every one of Alec's.
