Summary
When he feels his time is up, Grian lets his eyes slide shut. It’s going to be nice to return to Hermitcraft again; he’s come to miss it dearly. Grian dies. It feels like falling asleep.
Grian’s awakening is quite rude. Rather than the cavernous ceiling of his base on Hermitcraft, Grian opens his eyes to a low wooden roof in a small room. He’s back at home, as if he just respawned. But he was on his last life, this shouldn’t be possible. He’s in pain, still feeling the effects of Bdubs’ trap, but he’s not on his deathbed. It doesn’t make sense. Why is he back here? He looks out the window – the sun is rising.
There’s a book on his bedside table. A book that he burned yesterday.
Or, Grian’s last task during secret life is a little different, and he cannot leave until he accomplishes it.
Written for Seasons Skirmish! My prompt was "Timeloop where character A has to keep character B from dying in an event/day” for savethespiral!
