Work Text:
"Ah.. How exhausting." Rui mumbled, leaning away from his computer monitor and stretching his back. "I've been working on this code for a few hours already, and I can't seem to break through the security."
He sighed softly and closed his eyes. They were burning, they were in pain from hours spent in front of his monitor.
"I should finish this later..." He mumbled, but then he continued; "...But if I don't do that right now, I'll never finish it." He rolled his eyes in annoyance.
....
"Whatever." He shut off his computer, the monitors going off, instantly making the dim room dark.
He got up and grabbed his bag. "I don't want to be here." He mumbled, leaving his apartment through the main door, locking it and quickly leaving the apartment complex he lives in.
He arrived at the train station. Why was he even here? No one was there to answer that question for him.
He took first better train that went from Shibuya to main Tokyo train station. He had no clue why did he decide to randomly travel to Tokyo in the middle of the night by himself.
After a while, he stepped out of the train. He stretched his back again and yawned. "Alright.. What now?" He thought as he walked down the platform to leave the train station.
He walked down the Tokyo streets. Neon lights and flashy advertisements everywhere were more than headache inducing, but the locals seemed used to it already, meanwhile the tourists always seemed mesmerized by them.
He rolled his eyes in annoyance. Getting bored of the bright streets already, he tried to think of any way to entertain himself in this big city.
While walking down the pavement, he accidentally bumped into someone, he glanced at them with annoyance, about to say something. However, he paused when he noticed the familiar yellow-peach hair under the white hood.
"Tsukasa..?" He muttered out, barely above a whisper. The males eyes widened in surprise at the sudden meeting.
"Ah, Rui? Fancy seeing you here!" The male took his hood off and smiled widely, the smile being more than enough to melt Ruis previous annoyance at the city. "What brings you to Tokyo at this late hour?"
Rui was silent for a moment, but a soft smile grew on his face. "I... I don't really know. It just felt right." He said, moving to the side to continue the conversation in a more secluded area.
"I see... It must be fate then! Hey... how about we go grab a bite together?" Tsukasa suggested, taking Ruis hand into his encouragingly.
Both of them sat in a Ramen restaurant. Obviously these were open for people who like to sightsee at night, which must be pain for these poor workers, but whatever.
"Rui... I'm really glad I got to see you tonight, you know?" Tsukasa exclaimed excitedly, looking at Rui with his eyes sparkling.
"Hm? How come?" Rui glanced up from his food, confusion was painted on his face.
"Obviously because you wouldn't leave your room otherwise, out there hacking and coding... God forbid! This is almost like a Date, right?" Tsukasa rambled at the speed of light, Ruis sleepiness was catching up now, as he was unable to comprehend whatever the yellow fellow was saying.
"You look so tired, though. Have you been working a lot?" Tsukasa asked, his tone shifted to a more caring one now.
"Hm? Yeah. I have, but it's not a big deal though." Rui replied, a faint pink painting his cheeks from embarrassment.
"You're telling me to not worry when you're not resting well?! Rui..!" He immediately cupped the other males cheeks and looked him straight into his yellow eyes. He looked incredibly worried now.
"I can't have any of this, nope!" Tsukasa immediately added, squishing the males cheeks ever so gently. "The moment we're back in Shibuya I'm personally making sure you get good rest!" He declared proudly.
"...." Rui smiled softly and nodded. "Of course you are, and I'm really glad you care, Tsukasa..." He chuckled softly, putting his palm on top of his hand.
Both of them were walking down the streets once again. Holding hands together and chattering about different subjects, often related to hacking and technology.
The neon lights were no longer headache inducing to Rui, now that he has Tsukasa by his side, everything seemed to put him at ease.
"Tsukasa..." A soft mutter escaped his lips. Tsukasa turned his head towards him, looking at Rui with great interest. "Hm"
"Thank you for tonight... I feel much relaxed now." He added, leaning a little towards him to kiss the top of his head.
Tsukasa responded with a giggle. "Don't mention it. It's fate that brought us together here, right?" Tsukasa suggested, also leaning closer to kiss Ruis cheek.
"Yeah, I guess you're right, Tsukasa."
