Summary
“Go away,” Luffy barks out. For a brief second, the smoke disappears and there is a glimmer of hope that Nika actually listened to him for once. Then hands grip the sides of Luffy’s face, yanking his head back far enough that his neck is almost at a 90 degree angle. Luffy’s eyes fly open in surprise and sees his own face peering back at him with red eyes and a mad grin.
“If you really wanted me gone, I wouldn’t be here in the first place.” The grip on Luffy’s face tightens. “Would I?”
In the wake of tragedy, Luffy winds up all alone on an unknown island. Drowning in loneliness and grief, he finds refuge in Nika. But as Luffy sinks further into Nika's madness, an unexpected light in the dark appears, determined to pull him back from the brink of oblivion.
