Bright.
Too bright.
Eyelids slowly open themselves to reveal your vision for your eyes to see, as you look up only to close them again. The view is too bright above you so you try to look at your side instead, and open your eyes again slowly, still adjusting the light from above. The sun is shining so brightly today, though the breeze coldly yet happily welcomes your woke up face.
Wait...
Sun?
The gut feeling of being misplaced makes your body shivered. You tried to get up but failed.
Your body felt heavier than the usual. You know that you always laid on your back and it never felt this heavy to even just get up when your mind telling your body to do so.
Huh?
You tried to make a a confused sound only to get even more confused for hearing how weak and different your voice have become. You are unsure of what state have happening to your body, but first thing to check as we all usually do are our hands.
You lift your hand up to meet a tiny baby hands, none of these are helping your confusion. Only panic that are rising to your thought. How did you turned into a baby?!
You start to let out a incoherent noises from your mouth, even you are unable to understand your own voice. It only starts to sound more like a cry of a baby.
You are sure that you are a grown up adult! Or even if you aren't, you sure that a baby is not what you are before you're waking up in this... Place?
Where are you anyway?
Both these questions never got answered by just crying out loud, you thought. Gathering your composure back together is the first thing you must do if you want your mind to be able to think and understanding what's happening.
So you take a short break for breathing. You close your eyes to feel more calm before you are even opening your eyes a noise suddenly came to your direction.
"What do we have here?"
You open your eyes to meet a man, perhaps he's on his 30s. You're surprised by his sudden appearence above you, towering your tiny baby form.
Seeing his whole features got you baffled. His future looks as if they are a 3D model human, something of his face and eyes being so unrealistic yet they felt like they are now, makes you scared. What's an animated guy is doing here? But then again, if this is animated, then why do you feel your whole baby body so real.
And what even catch your eyes is the green uniform you are not far unrecognized. Infact, you thought that you have seen the green uniform's design from somewhere else before.
"Why would anyone in their right mind left a baby infront of a Statue of the Seven?", the man continue to ask to himself.
Wait... The seven?
You felt your body got lifted up, your eyes keep meeting his. More panic are rising as the man observe your tiny form before he then hold you closer to his arms, you think that maybe you are inside of a box or a basket of some sort, from looking on how the hard texture felt below your back.
"Let's get you into the city, maybe we can figure out what we should do to you little one"
As he continue to hold you close, he starts to walk to the opposite direction, still holding you close and firmly.
"To the city?! What is this man gonna do to me?!"
Panic starts to rising up again as you struggle your tiny arms and legs up in the air, while loud wailing coming out from your tiny lips. After finding out that you just got turned into a defensless baby, of course you wouldn't want anything to happened to you with you now being so fragile around your surrounding.
The man tried his best to calm you down by rocking your body in his arm but still failed even when he arrived in front of a gate. You open your eyes to see there are 2 knights who are guarding in front of the gate, you didn't hear much of what they said to the man that is carrying you, but you sure that atleast a some kind of knight accompany you with the man as you continue the walk inside the city.
Feeling a bit more safe of knowing that there's a knight on your side, you stop crying to look what is in front of you. You know that they said that you're getting into a city, but you question is why does the city looks like an old town with it's building's designs.
And somehow around the placement of the buildings are way too familiar for you to ignore. As the man carry you on what you feel a stair, you see a building you assumed as shop on your right, and a some kind of guild counter on your left—"Wait, is this the Monstadt City?!"
You look around while only manage to turn your head a little to your side to view more and to your guess, it does looks alike the Monstadt City you knew. It's not alike anymore, but you start to really thought you're in Monstadt. In a baby form.
"Am I like getting reincarnated to genshin or something?!"
Excitement running in your blood, you're not sure if that's a good or bad kind of excitement, but it does make your body to try move it to express your feeling after receiving this new information. It feels so exciting that you're no longer aware of where the two men are taking you to.
"Wait, if this is Monstadt, then... Oh! Is there any character that I can meet here?! Where are they?!"
You try to move your tiny head as much as it can, but the only things you can see are what you would call as an 'npc' walking and hanging out around the city. None of your favorite "characters" are present in the city.
Maybe they're out of the city then?

You were too focusing on finding any character you knew around your surrounding to the point you forgot being taken away inside a building.
"This way, sir", you heard the instruction from the other man you now guess as a fovanious knight—now that you've realized if you're in Monstadt, then he must be one of the knight of favonius from his knight armor-looking uniform. You're wondering where are the two men leading you.
Now you are being taken inside of a room that seems to be like an office by looking at the alone long desk in the middle of the room with a man sitting behind the said desk. He seems to be just doing a paper work before the three of you came in.
"Master", the knight starts. "Wait, Master?", you realized.
"Someone from the adventurer guild wanted to report a founding", the knight then signaling to the now you understand as an adventurer, to tells the "Master" a report he had regarding of you.
"I have something to report from my adventure—well, atleast I was intended to do just that, before I found this little one here", you feel the man highering his hold on you to perhaps show your full form to the man infront of you.
"So I thought maybe I should report their finding to the grand master", he continues.
And that moment you just knew, this man you're facing right now is the Grand Master of the Knight of Favonius, Varka.
You can't believe the first "character" from the game you're going to meet is the Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius himself!
Wait... Varka? Why is he here tho? Wasn't he supposed to be on an expedition at the beginning of the game, leaving Jean to be an Acting Grand Master on his behalf? What timeline are you in right now? The thought of the timeline you're in the game hasn't occured on you until just now.
"Well this is an unexpected report coming from the Guild", Varka started as he gets up from his seat, approaching the three of you. "A baby?", he looks down at you as to observe the little thing infront of him in curiosity.
"And where did you find this little one?", his eyes look up at the adventurer.
"Infront of a Statue of the Seven at the Windrise, sir"
"The parent must have wished for the Barbatos' blessing to guide the wind to send help to the little one", Varka guesses, and you feel like you can see the nod both the adventurer and knight from behind you do as they heard Varka's words.
"Really? That guy?" You make a disbelief and disapprovement expression, knowing the kind of guy Venti is from the game. Or maybe atleast in your point of view as a player from real world, the Archons aren't exactly what you considered as a real God like in your previous world.
Yeah, you don't believe the Archons that way, sure. Though you still believe with the Archons, you're not exactly have to be like a real believer to Archon, right? It doesn't feel right to follow a God from a game.
You focus back to Varka who right now is making a thinking expression as he gesture his hand in a thinking manner. "Unfortunately we don't have an orphanage in the city, since Monstadt City rarely got an orphan children appearing around the city"
He stop his track before looking down at your tiny body, before continue, "Therefore, I think the Cathedral can take care of the baby, there they can grow up with the people from Cathedral taking care of them"
"I will need you to inform the Cathedral—"
"Um... Sir, if I may... ", to all of the people in the room's surprise, the adventurer cut him off before ask his propose, "What if I volunteered to taking care of the child? Like I will adopt them"
"Oh? And do you think you can take a responsible of a baby? Do you have a spouse to help you at home? I thought adventurer must be a very busy job to take care of a child alone", the respond he gave almost surprised you, it's almost as if he isn't letting you to be taken by a mere adventurer. Maybe as a Grand Master, responsibility is something he always carries on to, so ofcourse this matter of letting a baby be taken care by who is a very important decision to take.
"W-Well, um... N-No.. But, in the Adventure Guild there are also other members like me who were wishing to have a child too, though they're also single like me—but we can discuss on how we will take care of them!", he continued to try convince Varka. "Please consider it, I will tell the others aswell"
Varka gives him a glare as if he sends an unspoken question to the adventurer before then sighs, "Alright then, you can discuss the other adventurer in the Guild to decide the next choices for taking care of the baby"
Even just facing Varka you can tell how happy the adventurer behind you must be feeling after getting the Grand Master's approvement. You wonder how this is gonna work out, hearing that his friends will also help taking care of you.
When you think about it, didn't Bennett also like got adopted by the Adventurer Guild aswell? You remember about him calling some of the Adventurer Guild members as his dads. Is this how things happened too back at his time? Now you're wondering if you will meet the boy in the guild aswell.

You're now infront of the counter of the Adventurer Guild. As expected, you meet none other than the infamous-
"Ad astra abysoque"
Yep, there she is, our girl, Katheryne. If this is still the same genshin impact, you're probably would be here for taking the daily quest prize—primogems. If only you're not a baby right now, you would have already try to check whether the existance of the primo also existed here or not. Well, maybe the next time you can walk on your own two feet here, the first thing you do is just that.
"I see you have come back earlier. How did the comission go?", the girl behind the receptionist counter asked.
"Ah about the comission, I'm afraid I have to delay it for today", knowing how pretty much about the kind of expression most npc usually put on this kind of conversation, you can tell the adventurer behind you must be scratching his nape nervously.
"That won't do, otherwise the comission should be lend to other adventurer instead"
"Ah no no no—don't worry, I will finish the comission just this day! I just need... Well...", the adventurer look back at the receptionist before then reluctantly asks, "While I'm at it, can I ask for your lend hand to look after this little one?"
"Hm? A baby? I don't think if that will be happening with my job on the table", much to your guess, Katheryne rejected the request.
Of course that should be expected, why would this guy left a baby to a receptionist anyway? And even more, the very receptionist here is none other than a bionic puppet. You wonder if she actually know other things to do in her life other than just standing behind that counter just to giving adventurer comissions and repeating the same phrase over and over again.
"Please miss Katheryne, just this once. If I really need to finish this commission as soon as possible, then please atleast help me watch over them. Then, after I finished the comission, I will came back with my friends to discuss about the little one"
Katheryne keep looking straight at the adventurer, not changing her eyes on the man.
"Please, this is the last comission for today, and I really need some money aswell", he continues to push her to giving into his request.
Funny that you thought it would usually be Katheryne the one who's giving the traveler comissions from every people's requests, yet now you're witnessing an adventurer requesting her something. And out of it all is to watch over a baby. Never in your imagination to perceive her to be a person to watch over kid, let alone a baby.
"Alright then"
You almost gawk upon hearing that. Katheryne accepting to babysit a baby? It feels so random to even thinking of that. And again, you never even see a baby npc in genshin impact, so how are you even supposed to imagine such a thing happened?!
"Seeing that all commissions are already been taken by adventurers, I can use my break time to watch over the baby", Katheryne then response as to participate the adventurer's request.
"Thank you so much miss Katheryne! I really appreciate the help!"
You can see upon Katheryne much closer after the adventurer lend your box on the counter, with your view facing the side of both the adventurer and the receptionist. "Don't worry, as soon as I finished the commission and bought my friends here, I will take the little one again. No need to worry"
"Alright, then I wish you a good luck and may the wind lead you"
And so the adventurer left you alone with Katheryne in the guild. "What an irresponsible my-soon-to-be-dad, leaving me here", you thought. But then again, with Katheryne that doesn't do much, maybe she isn't a bad choice to be your temporary babysitter. Wait, what will she do to a baby if they were crying? And even when they're hungry? It's not like she will have a baby formula to feed you.
You look up to Katheryne who had been watching you completely with a blank stare. Creepy, you thought. Especially that you're not quite used to seeing people around you in a some kind of 3D model. It's supposed to change nothing from what you used to see, but living in it felt different. If you're gonna live long here, then you hope that you'll get customized by the whole living inside a 3D world.
Sharing no conversation at all with Katheryne makes things feels boring that you prefer to stare at other direction to think to yourself what you're gonna do from here on. Living inside the world of genshin impact did sounds cool at first, but with you being a baby gonna hold some of your wishes of what to do here for awhile.
Now what to think first to do here...
