You own a little tailor shop, in which you bonded with a certain Overlord over the years. You would fix his jackets, and design custom pieces, until one day he stopped showing up. After seven years he comes back and visits with some sweet words and a business proposal.

Work Text:

Just a simple tailor shop, placed within the depths of hell. Even with the circumstances of its environment, it has always stayed strong through the years it has existed. The explosions, riots, cleansings, the shop has always sat peacefully in its corner of the city.

As any other tailor shop, it provided services such as altering or fixing clothes. It also served as a fabrics and dress shop where you could commission custom garments. Though from an outside perspective, it didn't look that interesting.

Though, the quaint shop had caught the attention of a certain Overlord. The Overlord visited occasionally, mostly to fix up his coats that got a bit ruffed up in the chaos. The Overlord and the owner became acquaintances, friends even. Having the shared aspect of both seemingly living in the same era when they were humans.

Soon, the Overlord's visits stopped abruptly, leaving the owner to wonder where he had gone. Seven years had passed, and the shop had made itself quite a name. It had gotten a few upgrades and a slight change in style, though that didn't dissuade an old customer from visiting.

It was nearing closing time and the owner of the store had just finished sweeping the floor. The demon perked up at a small blip of static that rang through their shop. They didn't have many electronics in their store to make that noise.

The chime of the door caught the shopkeeper's attention, looking to the front of their store. A tall, very familiar demon in red walked through the front door, static once again played through the store.

"Apologies, it isn't too late is it?" The new demon laughed, his voice resounded through the air as if it was playing through a radio.

"Alastor?" The shop-owner looked to the demon in surprise, before propping up the broom on the edge of a nearby counter.

The Radio Demon smiled his usual large toothy grin, acknowledging the other demon with their name, a sense of familiarity came from his voice.

"Now the Radio Demon decides to visit me?" The other demon teased, walking up to the Overlord.

"It has been a while since my last visit, your shop has changed quite a bit!" Alastor spoke with enthusiasm, taking a look around the shop.

"Yeah, and I've heard you've gotten yourself into a new round of controversy." The shopkeeper laughed, crossing their arms. The Overlord only laughed in response, tapping his staff on the ground.

"Well, you know I've got to make my entrance grand!" The Radio Demon said, spreading his arms out as he spoke.

"What's with the sudden visit anyway?" The tailor raised an eyebrow, tilting their head.

"I just wanted to speak with an old friend." Alastor turned to the racks of clothes, running his claws over the various fabrics.

"I know you well, Al. There's something else." The tailor sighed, walking up to Alastor's side as he looked through the clothes.

"I see you've got a new coat, anything I need to repair?" The tailor said changing the subject as they stood by the Radio Demon's side and held a hand out, silently asking for something.

Alastor placed his arm in the tailor's hand, letting them do whatever they needed to do.

"It's held up quite well since I've gotten it! But if I have any issues I will come to you." He spoke, also looking down at his sleeve, watching the tailor go over the seams.

"What's with the change in style anyway?" The tailor asked, tilting their head in confusion.

"I'm so sorry dear, someone ruined the one you had given to me," Alastor explained, static building up as he spoke.

"Alright, alright, I'll make you a new one." The tailor sighed, observing Alastor's sleeve before tugging at its cuff to straighten it out.

"Though this is some nice fabric, I cannot lie." The tailor said before letting the Radio Demon's hand fall back to his side.

"It is nice! Though it's still unfortunate one of your works was ruined under my care." Alastor responded, turning to fully face the other demon while fixing up the collar of his coat.

"I'm sure you could've conjured up a new one with your Overlord powers." The other demon rolled their eyes as they walked behind the counter.

"Your talent simply cannot be replicated." The Radio Demon hummed as they followed behind the tailor.

"Now you're just lying." The shopkeep playfully rolled their eyes, picking up a notepad from behind the desk.

"Though, I didn't come here just to talk about my coat." Alastor leaned on the counter, looking at the tailor as they wrote.

"Hm?" The shopkeeper looked up from their notepad, raising an eyebrow at Alastor.

"I've been investing in a small little project, I think you should give it a visit sometime." He continued, breaking eye contact to observe the surrounding shelves of fabric.

"Ah, the Hazbin Hotel was it?" The shopkeep asked, looking to Alastor once more.

"I heard about it on the news. You don't actually believe in reforming, right?" The other demon said, continuing to write on their notepad.

The Radio Demon only laughed in response, before quieting down and clearing his throat once more.

"Still, I'd like you to visit, there are some very interesting characters." Alastor encouraged, tapping his claws on the counter.

"I'll think about it." The tailor sighed, finishing up what they were writing.

"You could promote your business there, perhaps make the staff some uniforms?" The Overlord suggested, letting his eyes trail back to the other demon.

"Sorry, Al. Maybe I'll try promoting when the hotel is actually booming with business." The tailor looked at the Radio Demon from the corner of their eye.

"A shame, but does that excuse just a casual visit?" Alastor's smile seemingly grew wider.

"I don't think so." The tailor sighed as they ripped the paper off the notepad.

"Splendid! It will be nice to have another rational person in the hotel!" Alastor seemingly celebrated, pushing himself off the counter.

"Really now?" The tailor rolled their eyes, handing him the paper they were writing on.

"Well, here are the costs of the fabric, labor, and for ruining your original coat." The tailor smiled a sickly sweet grin.

"Fair is fair." The Radio Demon hummed, putting the note into his pocket.

"No alterations, no requests?" The tailor finished, raising an eyebrow at the Overlord.

"I trust in your judgment, dear. You do whatever you think is best." Alastor answered, tilting his head.

"Well, it's time you go. It's well past closing time." The shopkeeper walked around the counter to Alastor's side.

"Thank you for having me at such an hour, expect me to visit once again," Alastor said, letting the shopkeep walk them out of the store.

"Well, don't leave me at a loose end, Al." The shopkeeper waved, as they held the door open for the Radio Demon to leave.

"Of course not, dear." Alastor smiled, static playing through his voice.

The Overlord quickly dipped his head into a bow at the tailor before leaving the shop and dissipating into the darkness of the city streets. Once the Radio Demon was out of sight, the shopkeep turned their sign to "CLOSED".

They turned back to their desk, letting their eyes trail the floors checking if the Radio Demon tracked in any grime.

"An old friend, huh?" The shop owner sighed, picking up the broom once more.
