Work Text:
Tony crosses his arms. “If he’s going to be Peter’s ‘guy in the chair,’ then he needs to know programming, not magic.”
“If I understand correctly,” Stephen says, “the job of the ‘guy in the chair,’” he actually raises his hands and makes air quotes, “is to provide whatever the ‘hero’ requires. Magic is much more versatile than programming.”
“Oh, really?” Tony challenges. “Then use magic to get me the blueprints of, oh, let’s say, the New York Stock Exchange.”
When Stephen quirks an eyebrow, raises his hands, and starts casting, Tony quickly pulls out his phone and starts tapping. Presumably to prove he can hack in faster than magic can do the job.
Ned leans over to Peter. “Are Doctor Strange and Tony Stark competing over who gets to teach me?” he whispers, awed.
Peter grins. “Play your cards right, and it’ll be both of them,” he whispers back.
