Work Text:
"Personal log, supplemental," Jim spins his chair back and forth lightly. "While we were planetside earlier today, as a part of the landing party, Spock, Bones and I got a chance to study a multitude of the flora.
"I found a flower that reminded me of Spock. Naturally, I decided to pick it and give it to him. He seemed surprised, but he looked genuinely happy," He taps his fingers on the desk, recounting the day. "Bones was upset about it, though, said it could be dangerous or something. Gave him one too."
The buzzer to his door sounds, and he presses the button to open it without a second thought. Leonard walks in, a smirk on his face. "Was gonna ask if you were ready to meet Spock for dinner, but I hear you're using the personal log like a diary."
"And why shouldn't I be?" Jim matches his smile, leaning forward on the desk.
"Never said there was a problem now, did I?" Leonard rolls his eyes fondly. "Spock's waiting, hurry up." He turns back towards the door and begins to leave.
"Bones may still be mad at me about the flower," Jim half-whispers to the computer, before finishing off the log, loud enough so that-
"I heard that!"
